instructions fu y prior to initia use.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the guidance information on this sheet wi enab e
the insta ation of the Lantern to be carried out safe y and correct y.
This pro uct shoul be installe by a competent person an
in accor ance with the current IEE Wiring Regulations.
If in oubt, consult a qualifie electrician.
A ways switch off mains supp y before servicing and fitting.
1. Disconnect the mains supp y before insta ation.
2. Remove the 2screws from the front cover of the product and remove the front cover and
diffuser.
3. Ho d the back cover up to the wa in the desired fixing position, mark ho e positions.
This fitting shou d not be fitted to wet or damp surfaces such as fresh y p astered or
painted wa s.
4. Dri ho es on the points marked on the wa in step 3, use an ø8mm dri bit and insert
raw p ugs prior to screwing into position.
5. Cut ho e in rubber grommet in back cover and feed mains cab e through.
6. Connect the ive and neutra cab es to the 3-way termina b ock and then re ocate the
connector onto the back cover.
These are doub e insu ated units and must not be earthed. Earth wires from the house wiring
shou d be connected together using the spare earth termina provided. This is to ensure Earth
continuity throughout your property.
7. Secure the back cover in the desired position using the ho es dri ed in step 4, screws
supp ied.
8. Locate the diffuser and front cover of the fitting onto the back cover that was secured to
the wa in step 7, then re-secure using the screws that were removed in step 2.
Insta ation is now comp ete. Rep ace the circuit fuse and switch on at the mains to test.
