By purchasing Kingslim dash cams, you agree to Kingslim's terms including pre-cautions, user
warnings, and conditions of the warranty. If for any reason you do not agree to any of the terms
mentioned in this manual, then you may return the product in its original packaging, and unused
within its return window for a full refund. Do not expose this dash cam to rain, moisture, or water
under any circumstances, otherwise, external or internal damage will be caused to this product. Do
not put this unit in a damp environment as this device is not designed to be damp-proof. Please do
not try to open the cover or try to repair this product yourself. If there are any problems with this
product's accessories, please contact us for assistance.
This camera is intended to be used inside your vehicle. Please do not install it in any places where
will block the driver’s view of the road. These places include mirrors or the deployment of airbags.
Please read this manual very carefully before using the camera or installation and keep it safe for
future reference. It will offer help to you if you have any questions or have any difficulties in using
this product.
Pre-cautions
Please read and understand all the instructions before using this product. If any damage is caused
by failure to follow the instructions, the warranty will be voided.
Warnings
Failure to comply with safety warnings and regulations may result in serious injury or death. Please
do not place the camera on top of the instrument panel or in front of the airbag in case it falls. Please
do not mount the camera in any places on the windshield that may loosen your camera or distract
you while driving. Do not expose this device to extreme heat or dust. Please do not use any chemical
substance or cleaning solvent to clean this device. Pay careful attention when cleaning the lens. Use
a soft and moist cloth to clean the lens to avoid scratches that may compromise video quality.
Removing the camera from the vehicle when not in use is recommended. This prevents the
likelihood of theft or exposure to extreme heat to protect this unit from damage. Please do not
operate or install the camera while driving, or attempt to change any settings, etc. Please pull over
first and do so only when it is safe. Please do not drop, puncture, or disassemble this product. Do
not use the car charger if the cord is broken or damaged. Keep out of reach of children. Do not
expose the camera to direct sunlight for a long period of time, or where the temperature could go
above 158°F (70°C). Some countries or states in the United States prohibit drivers from mounting
anything on the windshield or a certain area of the windshield. It is the owner or operator’s
responsibility to mount or use this device in compliance with local laws. The company is NOT
responsible for the loss of any data or your content during operation or in any circumstance.

GETTING STARTED
Please read and understand warnings & safety instructions before operating.
1. Memory card
Before using this camera, please insert a Class 10 U3 or above memory card of well-known brands
at a maximum of 256GB. Please format the memory card before using it. (See Page 08 for details)
Note: The memory card is a consumable item and has a certain service life (please refer to the
descriptions of the memory card of relevant brand for the specific product life). If the machine
prompts that it cannot be formatted, the card is not compatible with the camera, or frequently
prompts to format, please replace the card with a new one. To ensure better protection of your
memory card and camera, please format it regularly within 2 months.
2. First-time charging
Now plug in the dash cam. The camera will turn on automatically as soon as it receives the power
and then prompt you with the initial setup on the screen for the first-time use. Make sure to keep
your camera plugging into the power all the time because the internal battery is ONLY for
emergency recording during parking mode.
Note:
(1) You can use your iPhone or Android phone’s USB charger to plug your dash cam into a 110V
power outlet.
(2) If you don’t get the initial setup prompts for any reason, please reset your camera, then
restart it for the initial setup.
3. Recording
KINGSLIM 4K D4 dash cam is programmed to turn on and start recording automatically when it
receives the power. It will also automatically stop recording, save the last video safely and then shut
down within 2 seconds when it's unplugged.
4. Settings
Now, by default all the settings are pre-set in a way that you can just start using the camera.
However, you can customize it further by learning more about the camera by either watching How
to Video or reading the User Manual so you can get the maximum benefit out of it and the best user
experience.

5. Setting date & time
Please set the correct date and time based on your location under the Time Zone Setting by going
to camera’s system settings menu.

6. How to hide power cable inside your car’s dash board?
Many people on YouTube already demonstrated how and where to hide power
cable insideyour car. You can view one of the possible ways by visiting the link

7. How to transfer videos to PC/MAC?
Insert the memory card into your PC/MAC with a card reader, or connect your camera to the
PC/MAC with a USB data cable, then choose to connect as "USB Storage". Your PC or MAC will then
recognize the memory card. Please follow the prompts to find the memory card drive on your PC or
MAC, you will be able to see all video or photo files in the memory card.

8. Wifi
You can also connect the KINGSLIM D4 dash cam to your smartphone by using the built-in Wifi
feature. After your phone is connected to the camera's Wifi, its 4G signal will be blocked, and it will
automatically recover after disconnection. It is recommended that you exit the Kingslim APP or
manually disconnect the camera's Wifi when you do not need to connect the camera to your phone.

➀To install
Make sure the camera is turned OFF first. Insert the memory card half way in. Then use the finger
nail to push the card all the way inward until it clicks and locks in place.
➁To remove card
To remove the memory card, gently push its edge inward until it clicks, and then pops out, then
simply pull it out of the slot.

Tip: We recommend formatting your memory card every 2 months to keep it running smoothly.
The memory card has a certain life span. After repeated reading, writing, and wiping, the life of
the memory card will be shortened. When the card frequently reports errors, please replace it
with a new one.
12. Installation
12.1 Memory card use
A Samsung/Sandisk/Kingston Class 10 U3 or above memory card is highly recommended for the D4
dash cam. This dash cam supports a memory card of up to 256GB. Please format your card on your
computer first and then in the camera before using it for better compatibility. Do not remove or
insert the memory card when the dash cam is turned on as this may cause damage to your card. You

 Formatting the memory card
Please format your memory card in the camera each time you insert it into your camera.
a. Tap the“ Settings” icon to enter the Settings page.
b. Select "Format SD", then tap the "Confirm" icon. Wait a few seconds to finish the formatting and
the system will exit automatically.
12.2 Install the dash cam on the bracket.

Warm tip: To remove the dash cam from the dash cam bracket, you can press the buckle firmly
with your finger, and push the camera out at the same time.
12.3 Adjust the viewing angle.

12.4 Install the dash cam on the windshield.
(1) Take off one film on the double-sided adhesive tape for the dash cam, and apply it to the dash
cam bracket.
(2) Clean the windshield with a dry cloth, then remove the film of the electrostatic sticker and apply
the sticker to the windshield. Make sure there is no air between the electrostatic sticker and
windshield, which is the key point to make the installation more stable.

(3) Peel off the other film on the adhesive tape, and secure the dash cam bracket on the electrostatic
sticker.
Notes:
➀ If you want to remove the dash cam, please take off the electrostatic sticker.
➁ You can stick the dash cam to the windshield without using the electrostatic sticker.

13. Charging
13.1 Connect the USB power cable to the Mini USB power port of the D4 dash cam, then plug the
car charger into the cigarette lighter of your car.
Please do NOT connect the camera to the PC for charging. Use the 110V wall outlet instead. The
device will start up and record automatically as soon as it gets connected to power. It will also
automatically save the last video file and power off after being unplugged.
13.2 Turning your camera ON/OFF
Auto Power ON:
KINGSLIM D4 is designed to turn ON automatically when it receives power, i.e. when the car engine
is started.
Auto Power OFF:
The camera is also pre-configured to turn itself OFF automatically within few seconds when the
power gets disconnected, i.e. when the car key is turned to LOCK position.
Note:
Some trucks/cars’ 12V cigarette outlet is always HOT, which means it provides constant power
even when the car is turned off and locked. If this is the case for your vehicle, the auto ON/OFF
feature will not work. And if you leave the camera continuously recording when the car is turned
off, it will drain your car/truck’s battery and you might not have enough power to start your car
next time. To remedy this situation, you can do one of the two options:
➀ Hardwire your dash cam to your car’s fuse box with KINGSLIM 3 lead auto trigger hardwire
kit. Visit www.kingslim.net to purchase one separately.
➁Change the connection in the fuse box for your 12V outlet socket which only supplies power
when car key is turned to ACC or ON position.

14. Hardwire kit (sold separately) installation guide
Notice:
➀ We strongly suggest the professional installation of the hardwire kit. If you attempt to install
it by yourself, KINGSLIM will not take the responsibility or liability for any product and vehicle
damage or personal injuries due to improper operation during the process.
➁ Make sure to turn off car’s engine before installing the hardwire kit.
➂ Carefully utilize the tool to test and check the polarity and grounding before confirming the
installation.
➃For safety reason, we strongly recommend that you do not use any fuse slot for your vehicle’s
critical components, especially those for air bags.
14.1 Installation
➀ Connect the yellow wire with fuse taps.
Yellow wire (to constant fuse slot)
Red wire (to an ACC fuse slot)
Black wire (to a metal ground wire)

➁Open the cover of fuse box and find a constant fuse slot. Remove the original fuse in the constant
fuse slot and install it into the bottom slots of the fuse tap.
➁ Connect the fuse tap to the positive terminal of your constant fuse slot.
➂Connect the red wire of the hardwire kit to the positive terminal of the ACC fuse slot in the fuse
box. ACC fuse slot only has power when the ignition is on.

➃ Crimp the black wire and screw it down to any non-coated metal bolt/screw in your vehicle to
ground it.
➄ Connect the USB connector of the hardwire kit to the USB input of your dash camera.
14.2 Low voltage protection
When the voltage detected by the hardwire kit is lower than 11.6V/23.5 (it varies depending on your
vehicle), the hardwire kit will automatically cut off the power after 60s.
Note:
Make sure that the camera’s view is not obstructed by any tint or any other objects. If your
vehicle has side curtain airbags, please be very careful when running any cables along your
vehicle windows. Ensure you are not running cable past any of the airbags as this can prevent
the airbags from deploying.

15. Install rear camera
Position 1:
Install the rear camera on the rear windshield. The installation is easier when using this method. The
power cables are routed as follows:

It is recommended to install the rear camera near the license plate. In this way, the image is crisp
and clear for both rear viewing and reversing guide. The power cables are routed as follows:
