Bag-O-Light Accessories
Compressor with air hose
Cowling adapter rings
Cowling adapter rings are available for either Arri or
LTM Par 4 HMI’s.
Note:
When using the shutter, Cowling must be fitted with
the Arri ring.

Safety and Operating Instructions
Mounting Bag-O-Light to Pressure Cowling
• Place pressure cowling on
floor with open end facing
up.
• Ensure proper ring
adapter is in place; Arri or
LTM. See accessories
page for illustration of
adapter rings.
• Align seams of Bag-O-
Light so one side aligns
with air cap
• Stretch the rubber lip of
the bag over the opening,
ensure that the bag
material does not get
pinched under the rubber
lip.
• Position spring clamp over
the rubber lip and lock into
place.
• It may be necessary to
tighten the clamp by
adjusting the screw hook
on the latch.

• Prior to inflating
the bag, attach
Velcro collar to
the base of the
bag and secure
it to the ring
clamp.
• Once the collar
is secured,
inflate the bag.
• Apply the Velcro nose ring and secure the black cover
to the Velcro collar as desired.

Operating power supply
• Ensure that power mains switch is OFF.
• For interior use only. Keep dry.
• Attach power input cable to 100-230VAC 50/60
Hz power source.
• Connect 4 pin XLR control cable to power
supply and control box on pressure cowling.
Voltage, 24 VDC
• Connect the air hoses from the compressor to
the control box on the pressure cowling.
• Turn power mains ON
• The silver or blue button on the power supply
is the inflator button. The black button on the
head control box is a secondary inflator button.
Either button can be used to maintain air
pressure.
• Auto fill switch, will automatically maintain bag
pressure
• A green LED on the power supply will light as
soon as the pressure in the bag is ok (10-50
mbar / .145 - .725 psi )
• Red LED indicates low pressure, below 10
mbar / .145 psi

Securing Lamp Head
• Due to the weight of the Bag-O-Light it is
important to secure the lamp head with
additional bracing. The yoke locks will be
insufficient to maintain the orientation of
the fixture.
• Add a clamp and grip head as illustrated
once the fixture angle is determined.
IMPORTANT! Install Diffuser
Lens
For even light distribution and to help protect
the bag from excess heat build up, use the light
diffusion lens. Failure to use the lens will
result in damage to the bag.

• Inflating Bag-O-
Light
• It is best to inflate the Bag-
O-Light once it has been
mounted to the light fixture.
• To inflate, unscrew air cap
on inflator port.
• Plug inflator fan into
secondary XLR output
located on control box.
• Place inflator fan into air
input port and press blue
button to turn on fan.
• A 6-meter bag will inflate in
about 30 seconds.
• Once bag is inflated quickly
remove fan and secure cap
over port.
• Inflate the remainder by
depressing inflator valve
located on the control box
at the head or on the powe
r
supply.

Pressure Management
System
• The system is designed to
automatically shut down the
inflator valve once the required
pressure is achieved.
( 40 mbar / .725psi )
• Do not adjust any settings on
the pressure regulator. They
are factory set.

Compressor operation
• Attach adapter hose
to blue air hose and
connect to
compressor
• Connect other end
of blue air hose to
the pressure
cowling.
• Apply power, 120 VAC, to the compressor.
• Set the power switch to AUTO
• The compressor will automatically pump up the reserve tank to about
125 PSI and then shut off.
• Once the Bag-O-Light is
inflated turn off the
automatic reload switch
on the compressor to
ensure that it doesn’t turn
on unexpectedly during a
shot.
• The reserve tank will be
able to maintain air
pressure in the bag.
