に記載しています。初心者が使用する場合は、必ず経験者、販売店あるいは当
社の指導を受けてください。

まえがき
本書は、インディペンデントチャック（IC 形、IA 形）につ
いて、性能、機能を理解し、安全に、正しくご使用いた
だくための詳しい情報を提供するものです。
本チャックをご使用いただく前に、必ずこの取扱説明書
をよく読み、インディペンデントチャックの使用方法を正
しくご理解ください。そして、冒頭の「安全に係わる重要
事項」や「使用上の注意」などに記載された指示・警告
には必ず従ってください。従わなかった場合、重大な人
身事故に結びつくことがあります。
安全警告用語および安全警告記号
本書では特に重要と考えられる取扱上の注意事項に
ついて、危険度の大きさ（生じる被害の大きさ）に応じて
次のように区分して表示しています。これらの用語の意
味を十分理解していただき、その指示に従って安全な
作業を行ってください

これは安全警告記号です。この記号は潜在的な人身傷
害危険を注意喚起するために使用されています。起こ
り得る傷害や死亡を回避するために、この安全アラー
ト・シンボルに続くすべての安全メッセージに従ってくだ
さい。
Preface
This manual provides detailed information about
how to safely and correctly use the Independent
Chuck (IC, IA type) .
Before starting to use this chuck, read this manual
carefully and always follow the instructions and
warnings in "Important Safety Precautions" and
"Precautions for Use" at beginning of the manual.
Failure to follow these precautions could result in a
serious accident.
Terms and Symbols Used for Safety Messages
In this manual, precautions for handling that are
considered especially important are classified and
displayed as shown below depending on the
damage of risk including the seriousness of the
harm that could result. Please sufficiently
understand the meanings of these terms and follow
the instructions for safe operation.
Safety Alert Symbol
The triangle is the safety alert symbol used to alert
you to potential safety hazards that could result in
injury or death.

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if you not avoided, will result in
death or serious injury.

免責および取扱説明書の使用方法について
この製品は旋盤や円テーブルで工作物を把握すること
に適しています。この製品は工作物を固定するための
ジョーを備え、それらはハンドルを回すことによって動
作します。これ以外の用途に使用する場合には、当社
に相談してください。
当社では、本取扱説明書の警告事項に従わなかった
ために生じた人身事故、死亡、損害、損失についての
責任は負いかねます。
本書の内容は、あらゆる環境下における運転、操作、
点検、保守に潜む危険をすべて予測しているわけでは
ありません。できないこと、してはいけないことは無数に
あり、本書でそのすべてを網羅することはできません。
したがって本書に「できる」や「してもよい」と書かれてい
ない限り、「できない」「してはいけない」とお考えくださ
い。本書に記載されていない運転、操作、点検、保守を
行う際に、安全に係わる疑問が生じた場合は、当社ま
たは販売店に確認してください。

製品の保証期間は納入後 1年間とします。
消耗品を含むすべての部品は当社が納入した部品を
使用してください。当社が製作した純正部品以外の部
品を使用した際に生じた人身事故、死亡、損害、損失
についての責任は負いかねます。また、当社が製作し
た純正部品以外の部品を使用した場合、すべての保証
は無効となります。
Liability and How to Use this Manual
This product is suitable for gripping a workpiece on
the lathes or the rotary tables. This product is
equipped with the jaws to clamp the workpiece and
they operate by the handle. For any other
applications, please contact us.
Our company will not assume responsibility for injury,
death, damage, or loss resulting from not following
the instructions in this manual.
There are countless things that cannot or should not
be done, and it is impossible to cover all of them in
this manual.
Therefore, do not perform any actions unless they
are specifically allowed in this manual. If any
questions related to safety arise about operation,
control, inspection and maintenance which are not
specified in this manual, please confirm them with
our company or distributor before performing them.
Guarantee and Limitation of Liability
The guarantee period of this product is 1 year after
delivery.
Use the parts delivered by Kitagawa Corporation for
all the parts including consumable parts. We will not
assume responsibility for injury, death, damage, or
loss caused by usage of parts not manufactured by
Kitagawa Corporation. Additionally, if parts other
than genuine parts manufactured by Kitagawa
Corporation are used, this guarantee will be
completely invalid.

安全に係わる重要警告事項として、特に知っておいていただきたいこと、守っていただきたいこと
をまとめてあります。ご使用の前に必ずお読みください。
Important safety precautions are summarized below. Please read this section before first
starting to use this product.
危険

この表示の注意事項を守らないと、死亡や重傷など重大な人身事故
の原因となります。
Failure to follow the safety precautions below will result in
serious injury or death.
チャックの取付、点検、給油、交換時には、必ず主電源を切ること。
Turn off main power supply before attaching, inspecting or
replacing chuck, and before adding oil.
●突然チャックが回転し、体の一部や衣服
が巻き込まれる危険がある。
・The chuck may start rotation suddenly,
and a part of the body or clothing may be
caught.
工作物飛散防止のためカバーを取り付けること。
扉（ドア）を閉めないでスピンドルを回転させてはならない。
Be sure to close the cover to prevent workpiece from flying out.
Close door before rotating spindle.
●ドアが閉まっていないと回転中のチャック
に触れたり、工作物が飛散することがあり
危険。
・If the door is not closed, you may touch
the rotating chuck or the workpiece may
fly out, which is very dangerous. (In
general, the safety interlock function
which allows rotation only when the door
is the manual mode or the test mode)

Failure to follow the safety precautions below will result in
serious injury or death.
工作物の突き出しが長い時は、振れ止め、またはセンタで支持すること。
When the protrusion of the workpiece is long, support it
with the steady rest or center.
●突き出しが長いと工作物の先端
が旋回し、工作物の飛散を招き
危険。
・If the protrusion is long, the tip of
the workpiece can turn and the
workpiece fly out.
チャックの回転速度は、許容最高回転速度を超えてはならない。
Do not exceed recommended speed of chuck.
●チャックや工作物が飛散し危険。
・Danger by flying off of chuck or
workpiece.
Ｔ溝、長穴の付いた型式は、取付けた治具などのボルトを確実に締め付けること。
治具を取り外した場合、Ｔナットも必ず取り外すこと。
For chuck types with T-grooves and oblong holes, securely tighten the
bolts of the installed fixture, etc.
Do not forget to remove the T-nut from the T-grooves after fixture is
removed.
●治具やＴナットが飛散し危険。
・Danger by discharge of Jig or T-nut.

この表示の注意事項を守らないと、死亡や重傷など重大な人身事故
の原因となります。
Failure to follow the safety precautions below will result in
serious injury or death.
ボルトは必ず規定トルクで締付けること。トルクが不足したり、大きすぎるとボルト
が破損し、チャックや工作物が飛散し危険。ボルトはチャックに付属のものを使用
し、それ以外のボルトは使用しないこと。
Be sure to tighten the bolts at the specified torque listed in table. If the
torque is insufficient or excessive, the bolt will break, which is
dangerous as the chuck or workpiece will fly out. Use the bolts attached
to the chuck, and do not use bolts other than these.
●取付本数が不足したり、締付トルクが不足し
たり、または過大だとボルトが破損し、チャッ
クや工作物が飛散して危険。
●ボルトを締め付ける際は、機械のスピンドル
を固定するか、チャックが回転しないように
回り止めをすること。スピンドルを固定しない
まま作業すると、締め付け時に手を滑らせ負
傷して危険。
●付属の六角棒スパナは仮の締め付け用で
す。正規の締め付けは、トルク管理の出来る
工具を使用の事。
・If the torque is insufficient or excessive, the
bolt will break, which is dangerous as the
chuck or workpiece will fly out.
・Fix the spindle or the chuck when you
tighten bolts. Your hand could slip and get
injury when you workpiece without fixing
the spindle.
・You cannot control the torque by a hex key.
You must use a torque wrench for torque
control.
・締付トルクとは、ボルトを締め付ける際の「力のモーメント」のことで、「力(F)」×「長さ(L)」で表さ
れます。
・Tightening torque is moment of force when you tighten a bolt. Tightening torque= F×L.

加工に必要とされる把握力は試切削により機械メーカーまたは使用者が決定し、
加工前に必要な把握力が出ていることを確認すること。
Determine the gripping force required for processing by the machine
tool manufacturer or user, and check that the required
gripping force is provided before processing.
●把握力が不足していると工作物が飛散して危険。
・If the gripping force is insufficient, this is dangerous as the workpiece will fly out.
製品に付属のハンドルを使用すること。
Use the handle attached to the product.
●柄にパイプなどを差し込んで過大なハンドル
トルクで締め付けると、チャックが破損し、ジ
ョーや工作物が飛散して危険。
・Excessive handle torque can lead to
breakage of the chuck, this is dangerous as
the jaw and workpiece will fly out.
チャックで工作物を把握する時、確実に 4つ爪で 4点把握すること。
２つ爪のみで工作物を把握しないこと。
When operating on a workpiece, be sure to grip the workpiece with all
four Jaws at four equidistant points.
Do not operate while the workpiece is only gripped with two Jaws.
・工作物やジョーが飛散して危険。
・Danger by flying off of jaw or workpiece.

把握範囲内で使用すること。(P-17 参照)
許容飛出量以下で使用すること。(P-18 参照)
Be sure to use the chuck at the gripping range. (Refer to page 17)
Be sure to use the chuck at the permissible protruding
range. (Refer to page 18)
●範囲外で使用すると、ジョーとネジボウの噛み合い部の強度が不足する為にチャックが破損
し、ジョーや工作物が飛散して危険。
・If exceeded the gripping range, the engaged part strength between the jaw and operating
screw becomes insufficient, thus scattering the chuck jaw or workpiece and resulting in
danger.
工作物に適したチャックを使用すること。
Use most suitable chuck for workpiece.
●チャックや工作物が飛散し危険。
・Danger by flying off of chuck or workpiece.
工作物を把握する時、手をはさまないようにすること。
When gripping workpiece, make sure your hand is out of gripping area.
●手指の挫滅や切断の危険。

チャック、ジョー、工作物へ衝撃を加えないこと。
Never hammer chuck, jaws or gripped workpiece.
●チャックが破損して、チャックや工作物が
飛散し危険。
・Danger by flying off of chuck or workpiece
in case of damaging of chuck.
工作物を把握しないでチャックを回転しないこと。
Do not operate the chuck without gripping the workpiece.
●遠心力によりジョーがチャック本体よりはずれ危険。
・Danger to jaw flying off due to centrifugal force
規定トルクで締め付けた後は、ハンドルを必ずぬくこと。
After gripping the workpiece with correct torque, be sure to remove the
handle.
●ハンドルトルクが小さいと必要な把握力が
得られず、工作物が飛散して危険。
●ハンドルが飛散して危険
・If the handle torque is insufficient, this is
dangerous as the workpiece will fly out.
・Danger by flying off of handle.
安易な改造をしないこと。
Do not attempt to modify chuck.
●チャックが破損するだけでなく、チャックや
工作物が飛散する恐れがあり、危険。
・Danger by flying off of chuck or workpiece
in case of damaging of chuck.

Failure to follow the safety precautions below could result

1日に１～２回グリース給油を行うこと。給油時には電源を切り、必ず指定のグリー
スを使用すること。（P-23 参照）
Periodically supply adequate grease (Refer to page 23).
Turn off power before adding grease.
●グリース給油不足は、把握力の低下、把握精度の低下、異常磨耗、焼き付き等の原因となる。
●把握力の低下により工作物が飛散し危険。
●精度保持のため、常に本体とジョーの嵌合部、ジョーの歯とネジ棒の嵌合部の清掃が肝要。
・Insufficient grease supply lowers the gripping force, lowers the gripping precision, and
causes abnormal wearing and seizing, etc.
・This is dangerous as the workpiece could fly out from a drop in the gripping force.
・In order to maintain accuracy, by keeping clean the fitting part between the main body and
jaw, and the fitting part between the jaw serration and operating screw.
アルコールまたは薬物を飲んで操作してはならない。
Do not operate the machine after drinking alcohol or taking medication.
●判断力の低下や誤操作を招き危険。
・Dangerous since these lead to operation
mistakes and misjudgment.
手袋やネクタイ等、引っかかりやすい服装や装飾品を着用して操作してはならない。
Do not operate the machine wearing gloves, a necktie, and other loose
clothing or jewelry.
●機械に巻き込まれ危険
・Dangerous since it will be caught.

Failure to follow the safety precautions below could result

チャックでチャックを把握してはならない。
Do not grip a chuck with a chuck.
●各チャックの許容条件を混同しやすいことに加
え、土台となるチャックに対する突き出し量が
長くなり、許容条件を超えやすい。許容条件を
超えて使用すると、チャックや工作物が破損・
飛散し、危険。
・Because it is easy to confuse the
specifications of each chuck and the
protrusion become long, it is apt to exceed
the specifications of the base chuck. The
chuck may break and the chuck or workpiece
could fly out.
組込時にジョーNo.を間違えないこと。
Do not mistake the numbers marked on jaw.
●振動及び工作物の振れが大きいため、刃物の
喰込みが生じ工作物が飛散するので危険。
・Because it may cause vibration, which would
result workpiece and tool to fly off.
チャックを機械に着脱する時は、吊ボルトや吊ベルトを使用すること。
When lifting chuck, use eyebolt or lifting belt.
●落下により危険。
・Danger by dropping.

と、ジョーとネジボウの噛み合い部強度が不足す
る為に、チャックが破損しジョーや工作物が飛散し
危険。
●把握径によってはジョーがチャック外周から突出す
ることがある為、ツール等への干渉に注意するこ
と。干渉するとチャックが破損しジョーや工作物が
飛散し危険。
・Be sure to use the chuck at the gripping range. If
exceeded the above range, the engaged part
strength between the jaw and operating screw
becomes insufficient, thus scattering the chuck
jaw or workpiece and resulting in danger.
・Since there is a possibility that the jaw is
protruded from chuck periphery by the size of
gripping diameter, take extreme care so as not
to interfere with tool, etc.

3-3．許容飛出量 3-3．Permissible protruding range
●表 4の飛出量以下で使用すること。ジョーがチャッ
ク外周よりも過度に飛び出した状態で使用すると、
ジョーとネジボウの噛み合い部の強度が不足する
為にチャックが破損し、ジョーや工作物が飛散して
危険。
・Be sure to use the chuck at the above
permissible protruding range (Table 4). If
exceeded the above range, the engaged part
strength between the jaw and operating screw
becomes insufficient, thus scattering the chuck
jaw or workpiece and resulting in danger.

３－4．ハンドルトルクと把握力の関係
図5はハンドルトルクと把握力の関係です。
把握力は使用グリース、ジョーの高さ等により異なりま
す。仕様に記載されている最大静的把握力は以下の
状態における値です。
・ジョーは当社の標準ジョーを使用しています。
・許容最大ハンドルトルクで締め付けています。
・北川把握力計にて測定した数値です。把握力計の把
握位置は、ジョーの面上高さ（チャック表面からジョー
上面までの高さ）の 1/2 の位置です。
・グリースは規定のグリースを使用しています。

3-4. Relationship between handle torque
and gripping force
Fig.5 shows relationship between handle torque and
gripping force.
The gripping force is different depending on the
state of grease lubrication, grease in use, height of
the jaw, etc. The maximum static gripping force
specified in the specification is the value under the
following conditions:
・The Kitagawa standard jaw is used as the jaw.
・Tightened at the maximum permissible handle
torque.
・The numerical values are obtained with the
Kitagawa gripping force meter. The gripping
position of the gripping force meter is at a position
1/2 of the height of the jaw top surface (height
from the chuck surface to the top surface of the
jaw).
・Specified grease is used.
