Please read this manual carefully before use.
Warning
You are advised to test the waterproof case empty by submerging it in water to ensure that it
does not malfunction.
You must ensure there are no foreign objects around the rubber seal or connecting terminals
on the waterproof case. It is easy for sand or dust to become stuck after opening the case
which may result in the impairment of the waterproof performance.
Be extremely careful since it may result in malfunction. If foreign objects adhere to the inner
side of the side door, wipe them o with a dry, lint-free cloth. If any liquid adheres to the
camera or inner side of the side door, wipe o with a soft dry cloth. Do not open or close the
side door near the water, when underwater, using wet hands, or when the camera is wet, as
this may cause water leakage.

Instructions
Turning the power on/o
Long press Power/Mode (12) to turn on/o the camera.
Battery
The camera has a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Please fully charge the battery
before use.
1. Connect the USB cable to the camera and the other end to a power source
2. Charging Indicator (9) is red whilst charging
3. The Charging Indicator (9) will turn o to indicate a full charge when connected to a
charging point
Note: The camera body may be warm after extended use. This is normal.
Open the Battery door (7) and pull the battery tab to remove the rechargeable battery.
Memory card
The Kitvision Action Camera doesn’t have any internal memory. To be able to record video or
capture photos using the camera, you must have your micro SD card inserted
(minimum Class 10 recommended, 128 GB max. Not included).

4. You may need to format your SD card when inserted into the camera; you can do this from
the Settings menu

Camera Modes
Press Power/Mode (12) to cycle through modes.
1. Once powered on, press Power/Mode (12) quickly once to skip to the next mode.
The corresponding icon will display in the top left of the screen to indicate the selected mode.
Video Mode Record video clips
Photo Mode Take still photos
Playback Mode View photos and videos
Settings Change settings
Video mode
The camera will start in Video Mode. Press Shutter/OK (11) to start/stop recording.
When recording the Touch Screen (10) will show a ashing red video dot next to the video icon
in the top left-hand corner and will display how long it has been recording for in the top
right-hand corner of the Touch Screen (10).
There are 3 preset video options available in Video Mode: Loop, Lapse, & Slow Motion.
Tap the central bottom of the Touch Screen (10) to access the shortcuts to these options.
Note: The camera will stop recording and save automatically when the memory remaining or
battery power is empty.
Audio
Using the camera with the waterproof case will record less audible sound. For best audio
quality, use without the case, and make sure it does not get wet.
Photo Mode
1. Turn on the camera and press Power/Mode (12) once to select Photo Mode
2. Press Shutter/Ok (11) to take a photo
There are 3 preset options available in Photo Mode: Timer, Auto & Burst. Tap the central
bottom of the Touch Screen (10) to access the shortcut to these options.
Playback Mode
1. Press Power/Mode (12) to cycle to Playback Mode. (Alternatively, you can press the
playback icon in the bottom left corner of the Touch Screen.)
2. Use Up (4) and Down (5) to navigate through your les or alternatively use the Touch function
by swiping swipe left to access the next saved item or right to access the previous le

play icon displayed in the middle of the Touch Screen (10)

Deleting les
1. To delete les, press the bin icon displayed in the bottom right of the Touch Screen (10), and
then tap “Conrm”.
2. Press the anti-clockwise arrow icon in the bottom left of the Touch Screen (10) or the
Power/Mode (12) button to return to the previous record screen.
WARNING: Selecting delete permanently deletes the les.
Settings
1. Press the Set Up icon in the bottom right of the Touch Screen (10)
2. Select either mode menu or main camera settings menu by pressing the relevant icon on
the left hand side of the Touch Screen (10)
3. Use Up (4) and Down (5) to navigate
4. Use Shutter/OK (11) to enter a sub-menu for the highlighted setting and Up (4) and Down (5)
to navigate through the options
5. Press Shutter/OK (11) to select the highlighted option

Main Camera Settings
Exposure This function will change how light or dark your media will
appear [+3]/[+2]/[+1]/[+0]/[-1]/[-2]/[-3]
In-Housing Mode Enable the in-housing mode by selecting this option – allows
for easier menu control when enabled (Follow on screen
instructions when activated). [On]/[Close]
White Balance Select this function to change the white balance of your
camera. [Auto]/[Sunny]/[Cloudy]/[Incandescent]/[Fluorescent]
Image Rotation Enable image rotation by selecting this option. Images will be
rotated by 180 degrees.
Driving Mode Enable the driving mode (loop record function) by selecting
this option. The footage will automatically be set to loop every
2 minutes.
Frequency Changes the TV output between 50Hz (PAL) and 60Hz (NTSC)
[50Hz]/[60Hz]/[Auto]
LED Indicator Light Enable or disable the LED indicator light by selecting
this option.
Auto Screensaver This function can be used to turn the display o after a
specied time frame of inactivity [Close]/[10 s]/[20 s]/[30 s]
Auto Shutdown This function can be used to power o after a specied time of
inactivity [1 min]/[3 min]/[5 min]/[Close]
Time Watermark This function can be used to add a visible time and date stamp
to the media les. Please note you must also manually set this
using the “Date/Time” setting [OFF]/[ON]

Language Change the language of the camera [English]/[Simplied
Chinese]/[Traditional Chinese]/[Japanese]/[Russian]/[German]/
[Korean]/[French]/[Italian]/[Polish]/[Spanish]/[Dutch]/
[Portuguese]/[Thai]
Date-Time Change the date/time on the camera. Use Up 11) and Down
(12) to alter the number and Shutter/OK (1) to proceed to the
next option. [Year/Month/Day/Hour/Minute]
Format Format deletes all the data on the SD card and ensures the SD
card is setup correctly for this camera. CAUTION: THIS WILL
DELETE ALL DATA AND MEDIA [Cancel]/[Conrmation]

Reset to Factory This function can be used to reset the camera back to its
default factory settings. This will not delete any media
[Cancel]/[Conrmation]
Firmware Version Select this option to view your model number and rmware
version. Press Power/Mode (12) to exit this screen.
Video Settings
Video resolution Change the resolution when in Video Mode. Higher resolutions
will record in better quality but will take up more memory
[4K @ 30fps]/[2.7k @ 30fps]/[1080p @ 60fps]/[1080p @ 30fps]/
[720p @ 120fps]/[720 @ 60fps]/[720p @ 30fps]
Recording Sound This function can be used to mute the microphone [OFF]/[ON]
Time Lapse Create a Time Lapse video by combining one frame from each
[Close], [0.5s], [1s], [2s], [5s], [10s], [30s], [1min] interval
Loop Recording This function can be used to break up video les. When this
option is turned on and the camera is recording, a video will
automatically be split into smaller les based on the chosen
time frame [Close]/[2Min]/[3Min]/[5Min]
Slow Motion Select this function to record videos in slow motion. Available
resolutions are [1080p @ 60 fps]/[720p @ 120 fps]

Photo Settings
Photo Resolution Change the resolution when in Photo Mode. Higher resolutions
will take better quality images but will take up more memory
[2MP]/[5MP]/[8MP]/[12MP]/[16MP]
Timer Select this function to enable a countdown timer for your
photos. [Close]/[3s]/[5s]/[10s]/[20s]
Auto Select this function to enable automated photos with a
countdown timer between each shot [Close]/[3s]/[10s]/[15s]/
[20s]/[30s]
Burst Select this function to enable a burst of photos in one second.
The number of photos taken in one second can be the
following: [3]/[5]/[10]/[Close]
Using Wi-Fi
With the Venture’s 4K’s built-in Wi-Fi, you can use your smart device as a camera remote,
viewnder, and download les to your phone.
Download the Wi-Fi App
Install the “XDV” App from the Apple App Store™ or Google Play Store™.
Pairing camera to Wi-Fi device & App
1. Press Up (4).
2. The Touch Screen (10) will display the Wi-Fi connection details including SSID and
Wi-Fi password.
3. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your device, search for camera’s SSID (displayed on the camera)
and select, then enter the password displayed on your camera to proceed.
4. Once connected, keep the Wi-Fi connection details screen open on the camera.
5. Open the “XDV” application on your device; the app home screen will open.
6. Press the green camera icon to connect to camera.
Additional connections
Connecting the camera to a HDTV
1. Connect the micro HDMI end of a micro HDMI to HDMI cable (not included) to the camera’s
Micro HDMI Output (14), and the other end to the HDTV’s HDMI port.
2. Turn on the HDTV and select the appropriate HDMI source.
3. Follow the above Playback Mode instructions for playing back les.
4. When viewing is nished, turn o the camera and HDTV before removing the HDMI cable.
Note: The screen will mirror the information on the camera screen.

Connecting to a PC
There are two ways to do this:
• Inserting the micro SD into a card reader.
• Connecting to a computer using the supplied micro USB cable.
1. Connect the USB cable to the camera’s Micro USB port (15) and to the PC and turn the
camera on.
2. Open [My Computer] or [Windows Explorer®] on your PC. “Removable Disk” will be in the
drive list. Double-click the “Removable Disk” icon to view its contents.
Waterproof case
The Venture Action Camera includes a case that is waterproof up to 30 metres.
1. Open by rst moving the unlock mechanism to the right and then lift the case
catch upwards.
2. Insert the camera correctly so that the case closes easily and provides a tight seal.
3. Snap the top clip shut to ensure the case is waterproof.
4. To operate the camera, use the waterproof case’s external spring buttons

Troubleshooting
No power Remove the battery and SD card from the camera and wait for
ve minutes. Insert the battery, leave the camera o and charge
the camera for 1 hour. Then turn the camera on while still
connected to the power source.
No SD card Check that there is a compatible and formatted SD card in the
camera’s Micro SD card slot (13).
SD card error Save les you want to keep onto a PC and then format the SD
card. (Formatting will permanently delete all les on the SD card.)
Camera won’t turn on Check the battery is installed correctly with the Battery door (7)
closed and the Battery Door Latch (6) secure. Charge the camera
using a mains power adaptor.
Blurry photos Ensure that you always hold the camera still or use a tripod (not
included) whilst taking still photos.

• Get the camera wet, unless sealed in the included waterproof case
• Drop the camera as this will invalidate your warranty
• Open up the camera. There are no user serviceable parts inside
• Expose the camera to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa

• Clean the camera with a soft dry cloth and no detergents
• Clean the waterproof case after it has been in water (salt especially) with fresh tap water
• Use a soft dry cloth to wipe the surface of the camera, then leave in a cool, ventilated place
to dry

an embedded, non-replaceable battery, do not attempt to access or remove the battery as this may cause personal
injury and will damage the product.
