Turning the camera on or off
To turn on
PressandholdthePower/Shutter(function2)buttonforabout4seconds.AgreenLED
willlightup.Onceyouletgoofthebutton,theLEDwillashredtwicetoindicateitisin
standby mode.
To turn off
PressandholdthePower/Shutter(function2)buttonuntiltheLEDashesred.Thecamera
will then turn off.
Setting date & time
Downloadthe“time.txt”lefrom:kitvision.co.uk/product/KVBLAST3000BK
Openthele“time.txt”andchangethedate&timeasfollows:
YYYY.MM.DDhh:mm:ss
Y = year h = hours
M=month m=minutes
D=day s=seconds
Onceedited,copytheletomemorycard.Yourvideosandphoto’swillthenbesaved
using the time and date you have set. The time will start when the camera is turned on.
Using the camera
Initial set up
1. Unscrewtherearcaponthebackofthecamera(function3).
2. MakesurethecameraisOFFbeforeinsertingorremovingthememorycard.
3. MakesuretheMicroSDcardisformattedwithnodataonit.4GBcardsandabove
shouldbeformattedusingtheFAT32lesystem.
IMPORTANT:Whenformattingthememorycard,theAllocationunitsizemustbeset
to32kilobytes(KB)otherwisethecameramaynotrecognizetheMicroSDcard.
4. InsertaMicroSDcard(upto32GB)intotheslot.ToinserttheMicroSDcard,slidethe
MicroSDcardintothecardslotonthebackofthecamerawiththecardlabelfacing
down.TheMicroSDcardwillclickintoplace.
Charging the battery
Unscrewtherearcaponthebackofthecamera(function3)andplugtheUSBcharger
into the camera. The blue light will be on while charging. The light will turn off when the
batteryisfullycharged.Werecommendyouchargethebatteryforatleast10hoursfor
therstuse.Youcanrecordupto125minuteswithonecharge.

Connecting the camera
Unscrewtherearcap(function3)thenturnonthecamera.ConnecttheUSBcabletothe
camera(function5)andaPCorMac.Thecamerawillberecognisedautomaticallyasa
USBDeviceonaPCoranexternalharddriveonaMac.Alternativelyyoucanremovethe
MicroSDcardfromthecameraanduseacardreader.
Important tip for Mac users
WhendeletinglesfromamicroSDcard,youmustemptythetrashbeforeremovingor
unpluggingthecamera.Ifyoudonotemptyyourtrashthephotosandvideosleswill
notbecompletelyerasedfromthemicroSDcard.
Caution
ThedevicemustbepoweredonwhenconnectingtoaPCorMac.Ifyouremovethe
batterywhilstplaying/transferringles,datacorruptionwilllikelyoccur.
Taking a video
•Totakevideoswiththecamera,makesurethattheVideo/Photoswitch(function4)is
set to the right for video mode then turn on the camera
•Oncethecameraison,press(nothold)thePower/Shutterbutton(function2)tostart
recording.TheredLEDwillblinkwhilstthevideoisrecording.PressthePower/Shutter
button(function2)againtostoprecording
Taking still pictures
•Totakestillpictureswiththecamera,makesurethattheVideo/Photoswitch
(function4)issettotheleftforphotomodethenturnonthecamera
•Press(nothold)thePower/Shutter(function2)buttontostarttakingphotos,thered
LEDwillblink.PressthePower/Shutterbutton(function2)againtostoptakingphotos
andtogobacktothestandbymode.Inphotomodethecamerawilltakephotosevery
3seconds.Itwillstoptakingpicturesautomaticallyifthebatteryisemptyorifthe
MicroSDcardisfull

Caution: Using Kitvision Blast for watersports
•PleaseensuretheO-ringsarecleanandhavesomesilicongreaseonpriortouse
with watersports
•Alsomakesurethewaterproofcapisproperlysealed
Ifthesechecksarenotcompleted,itislikelythatwaterwillgetintothecamera.
Note
After each use in salt water, you will need to rinse the outside of the product and the seal
with clean, salt-free water, and dry. Not doing this can cause corrosion of the product or
failure in the seal which in turn could damage the product.
