Before You Begin
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Do not remove the plaster guard from the transfer valve until
instructed to do so.
For proper trim fit, the finished wall must align within the 11/16″
(1.7 cm) front-to-back depth of the installed plaster guard.
The roughing-in depth minimum = 3″(7.6 cm); maximum =
3-7/8″(9.8 cm).
A mixed water supply is required for this transfer valve.
Do not plug any outlets on this transfer valve. The transfer valve
is not intended to be used as a shut-off valve.
If less than three accessories will be installed, connect the unused
transfer valve port to one of the accessories. All outlet ports must
be connected to an accessory, even if one accessory is connected
to two transfer valve outlet ports.
If you install this transfer valve to the shower port of your
mixing valve, the performance of the valve will be reduced.
Do not use plastic pipe for transfer valve connections.

Carefully plan the installation before beginning. Carefully read
the entire instructions. Component location, spacing, and
situational requirements can vary.
Shut off the main water supply.
Inspect the waste and supply tubing; replace if necessary.

1. Prepare the Valve
Thin Wall Installation
NOTE: The plaster guard may be installed behind the wall to add
stability, but front servicing of the transfer valve will no longer be
possible. You will need to provide rear access to the valve.
Provide a 3″(7.6 cm) diameter hole in the wall material.
Thick Wall Installation
Provide a 3-3/4″(9.5 cm) to 3-7/8″(9.8 cm) diameter hole in the
wall material.
For All Installations
Attach the plaster guard to the cartridge sleeve and stem
assembly using the two escutcheon screws in the holes labeled for
your application.

2. Install the Valve
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not apply direct heat to
the transfer valve body. Excessive heat will damage the plastic
valve components and the plaster guard.
Install 1/2″copper hot and cold water supplies and connect them
to your mixing valve according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
NOTE: Do not install the transfer valve upside down.
Route the 1/2″mixed water supply line to the transfer valve inlet
port location.
Solder the mixed water supply line to the transfer valve inlet
port.

3. Install the Piping
For Three Way Applications:
Install 1/2″copper tubing or 1/2″piping for all accessories.
Securely fasten the piping and outlet ells to the framing.
Install temporary 1/2″nipples in the outlet ells so they extend a
minimum of 2″(5.1 cm) beyond the planned finished wall.
Turn on the water supply to the transfer valve and check the
transfer valve for proper operation and leakage. Once everything
is verified, turn off the water.
For Two Way Applications:
IMPORTANT! Do not plug any outlets on this transfer valve. The
transfer valve is not intended to be used as a shut-off valve. If less
than three accessories will be installed, connect the unused transfer
valve port to one of the accessories. All outlet ports must be
connected to an accessory, even if one accessory is connected to two
transfer valve outlet ports.
Install 1/2″copper tubing or 1/2″piping for both accessories.
Use a tee to connect two of the outlet ports. Securely fasten the
piping and outlet ells to the framing.
Install temporary 1/2″nipples in the outlet ells so they extend a
minimum of 2″(5.1 cm) beyond the planned finished wall.

Install the Piping (cont.)
Turn on the water supply to the transfer valve and check the
transfer valve for proper operation and leakage. Once everything
is verified, turn off the water.

4. Complete the Valve Installation
For All Applications:
Install caps on the temporary bath and shower nipples. Turn on
the water and check for leaks. Once no leakage is verified, turn
off the water.
Complete the finished wall.
Remove and discard the plaster guard.
Apply high-quality caulk or sealant around the transfer valve
openings.
Install the transfer valve trim according to the instructions packed
with the trim.

Avant de commencer
Respecter tous les codes de plomberie et de bâtiment locaux.
Ne pas retirer les renforts de plâtre de la valve transfert avant
l’instruction de le faire.
Pour un bon ajustement de la garniture, le mur fini doit être
aligné dans une profondeur de [11/16″(1,7 cm)] d’avant en
arrière par rapport au renfort de plâtre installé.
Profondeur de raccordement minimale = [3″(7,6 cm)]; maximale
= [3-7/8″(9,8 cm)].
Une alimentation mélangée d’eau est nécessaire pour ce robinet
coupleur.

Avant de commencer (cont.)
Ne raccorder aucune sortie sur cette valve transfert. La valve
transfert n’est pas conçue pour être utilisé en tant que valve
d’arrêt.
Si moins de trois accessoires seront installés, raccorder le port non
utilisé de la valve transfert à l’un des accessoires. Tous les ports
de sortie doivent être connectés à un accessoire, même si un
accessoire est raccordé à deux ports de sortie de la valve transfert.
Si cette valve transfert est installée au port de la douche du
mitigeur, sa performance en sera réduite.
Ne pas utiliser un tuyau en plastique pour des connexions de
valve transfert.
Planifier soigneusement l’installation avant de commencer.
Veuillez lire avec attention les instructions dans leur intégralité.
L’emplacement des composants, l’espacement et les exigences
relatives à la localisation peuvent varier.
Couper l’alimentation d’eau principale.
Inspecter l’état des tubes d’évacuation et d’alimentation et
remplacer si nécessaire.
