Tools and Materials
Before You Begin
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
This faucet is for use on a single-hole bathroom sink.
For new installations, install the faucet and drain to the sink
before installing the sink.
The faucet shown in this guide may differ from your actual
product. The installation steps still apply.
In order for this faucet to function properly, install the faucet so
the sensor points directly toward the user.
The faucet is rated at6VDC1Wandisoperated by an external
AC power supply (not supplied).
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Faucet Installation
Prepare the Site
NOTE: Before drilling the mounting hole, use the following
provisions for proper placement: (1) A 1-1/4″(32 mm) minimum to
1-1/2″(38 mm) maximum diameter mounting hole is required. (2) A
minimum distance of 1-3/4″(44 mm) is required between the back
of the spout and the wall to allow access to the screw. (3) A 1-1/8″
(29 mm) maximum distance is required between the sink bowl edge
and the base of the spout.
Determine the mounting hole location.
Drill a hole through the mounting surface according to the
surface manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the Faucet
Install the stud to the underside of the faucet.
Slide the gasket over the flexible hoses and stud, then seat the
gasket in the groove on the underside of the spout.
Insert the spout with flexible hoses and stud through the
mounting hole.
From under the sink, slide the rubber washer and bracket onto
the stud.
Thread the nut onto the stud to secure the faucet to the mounting
surface.

2. Supply Connections
Connect the Filter Assembly
Turn on the water and flush water through the supply stops into
a bucket.
Turn off the water.
Remove the filter assemblies from supply hoses. Then thread a
filter assembly onto each supply stop.
Connect the Supplies
Connect the left supply hose to the filter assembly on the hot
supply stop.
Connect the right supply hose to the filter assembly on the cold
supply stop.
Tighten the connections with a small adjustable wrench.
Turn on the water and flush the faucet by activating it.
NOTE: For optimum performance, clean your filter screens
periodically. Refer to the Maintenance Guide.

3. Install the AC Supply
Single Faucet Installations
Connect the faucet wire to the AC supply.
Plug the AC supply into the wall outlet.
Secure the excess wire under the counter.
IMPORTANT! The area in front of the sensor must be free of
objects during the two minute learning cycle or the faucet may not
function properly.
Allow two minutes for the sensor to cycle through the automatic
sensing distance.

4. Install AC Multi-Output Supply
Multiple Faucet Installations
Mount the AC supply under the counter using two (not supplied)
screws. Orient as shown.
Remove the cover.
Connect the faucet wire to the faucet.
If needed, cut and strip the AC supply wires to length.
Connect the stripped ends to the bottom terminal block (TB2) in
the supply box.
NOTE: If a hard wired installation is required, go to the next
installation section.
Plug the AC supply into the wall outlet.
Secure any excess wire under the counter.
IMPORTANT! The area in front of the sensor must be free of
objects during the two minute learning cycle or the faucet may not
function properly.
Allow two minutes for the sensor to cycle through the automatic
sensing distance.

5. Hard Wire Installation
WARNING: Risk of electrical shock. Make sure the power
has been disconnected before performing the following
procedures.
Loosen the terminal block screws and remove the wires from the
top terminal block.
Loosen the outside nut of the strain relief and remove the power
cord.
Put the supply wires through the strain relief and connect to the
top terminal block.
NOTE: If a hard wired installation is required, the strain relief may
need to be replaced depending on wire used.
Tighten the nut on the strain relief.
Replace the cover, and install and tighten the five screws.
Turn on the AC supply power.
Secure any extra wire under the counter.
IMPORTANT! The area in front of the sensor must be free of
objects during the two minute learning cycle or the faucet may not
function properly.
Allow two minutes for the sensor to cycle through the automatic
sensing distance.

6. Optional Temperature Limiting Adjustment
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Scalding may result if
the temperature limit is not properly set.
NOTE: The water temperature does not need to be adjusted if the
water temperature is below 105°F (41°C).
NOTE: Use a thermometer rated for 120°F (49°C) or greater.
NOTE: When using a tempered water supply, install the
vandal-resistant plug button.
Adjust the Water Temperature Limit – Handle Installations
Turn on the water and adjust to full hot by turning the handle
toward the back of the faucet until it stops.
Determine the temperature using a thermometer. If the
temperature exceeds 105°F (41°C), complete the following steps.
NOTICE: Do not rotate the handle when removing the screw.
Using the 2.5 mm hex wrench provided, remove and retain the
handle screw.

Optional Temperature Limiting Adjustment (cont.)
Insert the handle at the desired maximum temperature. If the
handle is inserted horizontally: This is the maximum hot
temperature, where the water will be the same temperature as the
water from the hot water supply. If the handle is inserted
vertically (shown): This is the maximum cold temperature, where
the water will be the same temperature as the water from the
cold water supply.
NOTICE: Do not rotate the handle when reinstalling the screw.
Reinstall the spring washer into the handle, then attach the
handle to the faucet.
Secure the handle to the faucet with the screw.
Adjust the Water Temperature Limit – Vandal-Resistant Installations
NOTE: If you install the vandal-resistant plug button, save the
handle to adjust the water temperature at a later date.
Using the handle, adjust the water to the desired temperature.
Using the 2.5 mm hex wrench provided, remove and retain the
screw, spring washer, and handle.
Position the vandal-resistant plug button and firmly press into
place.

7. Installation Checkout
Connect the drain tailpiece to the P-trap.
Using the key provided, remove the aerator from the spout.
If applicable, uncover the drain.
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks. Adjust as
needed.
Allow the water to run through the spout for about 1 minute to
remove any debris. Check for leaks and adjust as needed.
Temporarily cover the sensors on the faucet or close the water
supplies.
Using the key provided, reinstall the aerator to the spout.
Uncover the sensors on the faucet or turn on the water supplies.

is plugged. E. Remove and clean the aerator. For calcium/mineral deposits, soak
the plastic insert in a 50:50 mix of
water and vinegar. Soak only the
plastic insert.
F. Sensor eyes
are scratched. F. Replace the sensor assembly.
G. A flex hose
is kinked. G. Check the flex hoses to make certain they are not kinked. If a
flex hose is kinked, disconnect it,
straighten, and reconnect.
H. Power was
interrupted. H. Wait 2 minutes after power is restored as the sensor cycles
through the automatic sensing
distance.
I. Battery life
expired. I. Replace the power supply.
J. Bleed hole
in diaphragm
is plugged or
debris exists
on the seal.
J. Clean or replace the diaphragm.
K. Solenoid is
not working. K. Order a new solenoid service kit.
2. Low flow. A. Filter is

Avant de commencer
Respecter tous les codes de plomberie et de bâtiment locaux.
Couper l’alimentation d’eau principale.
Ce robinet est conçu pour être utilisé sur un lavabo de salle de
bains à un orifice.
Pour de nouvelles installations, installer le robinet et le drain sur
le lavabo avant d’installer celui-ci.
Le robinet illustré dans ce guide peuvent différer du produit
actuel. Les étapes d’installation s’appliquent tout de même.
Pour que ce robinet fonctionne correctement, installer celui-ci de
manière à ce que le capteur soit directement dirigé vers
l’utilisateur.
La valeur nominale du robinet est de6Vc.c.1Wetlerobinet est
alimenté par une alimentation à courant alternatif (non fournie).
Kohler Co. se réserve le droit d’apporter toutes modifications au
design des robinets et ceci sans préavis, comme spécifié dans le
catalogue des prix.

1. Installation du robinet
Préparer le site
REMARQUE: Avant de percer l’orifice de montage, suivre les
instructions suivantes pour assurer une mise en place appropriée:
(1) Un trou de montage d’un diamètre de 1-1/4″(32 mm) minimum
à 1-1/2″(38 mm) maximum est requis. (2) Une distance minimum
de 1-3/4″(44 mm) est requise entre l’arrière du bec et le mur pour
permettre un accès à la vis. (3) Une distance maximum de 1-1/8″(29
mm) est requise entre le bord de la vasque du lavabo et la base du
bec.
Déterminer l’emplacement de l’orifice de fixation.
Percer un orifice par la surface de fixation en fonction de la
surface dans les instructions du fabricant.
Installer le robinet
Installer le montant sur le dessous du robinet.
Faire glisser le joint d’étanchéité par-dessus les tuyaux flexibles et
le montant, puis placer le joint dans la rainure sur le dessous du
bec.
Insérer le bec avec les tuyaux flexibles et le montant dans l’orifice
de fixation.
À partir du dessous du lavabo, faire glisser la rondelle en
caoutchouc et le support sur le montant.

Visser l’écrou sur le montant pour sécuriser le robinet à la surface

2. Raccord d’alimentation d’eau
Connecter l’ensemble du filtre
Ouvrir l’alimentation d’eau et purger l’eau par les robinets d’arrêt
dans un sceau.
Couper l’eau.
Retirer les ensembles de filtres de chaque tuyau d’alimentation.
Visser ensuite un ensemble de filtre sur chaque robinet d’arrêt.
Connecter les alimentations
Connecter le tuyau d’alimentation gauche sur l’ensemble de filtre
se trouvant sur le robinet d’arrêt de l’eau chaude.
Connecter le tuyau d’alimentation droit sur l’ensemble de filtre se
trouvant sur le robinet d’arrêt de l’eau froide.
Serrer les connexions avec une petite clé à molette.
Ouvrir l’eau et purger le robinet en l’activant.
REMARQUE: Pour une performance optimale, nettoyer les crépines
périodiquement. Se référer au guide de maintenance.

3. Installer l’alimentation à courant alternatif
Installations pour robinet unique
Connecter le fil du robinet à l’alimentation c.a.
Brancher l’alimentation c.a. dans la prise murale.
Fixer le fil supplémentaire sous le comptoir.
IMPORTANT! La zone qui se trouve à l’avant du capteur doit être
exempte d’objets pendant le cycle d’apprentissage de deux minutes;
le robinet risque de ne pas fonctionner si ceci n’est pas le cas.
Attendre deux minutes pendant que le capteur effectue un cycle
par la distance de détection automatique.

4. Installer l’alimentation c.a. multi-sorties
Installations de plusieurs robinets
Monter l’alimentation c.a. sous le comptoir en utilisant deux vis
(non fournies). Orienter tel qu’illustré.
Retirer le couvercle.
Connecter le fil du robinet au robinet.
Si nécessaire, couper et dénuder les fils d’alimentation c.a. à la
longueur voulue.
Connecter les extrémités dénudées sur le bloc de branchement
inférieur (TB2) dans le boîtier d’alimentation.
REMARQUE: Si une installation câblée est requise, aller à la section
d’installation suivante.
Brancher l’alimentation c.a. dans la prise murale.
Fixer tous les fils supplémentaires sous le comptoir.
IMPORTANT! La zone qui se trouve à l’avant du capteur doit être
exempte d’objets pendant le cycle d’apprentissage de deux minutes;
le robinet risque de ne pas fonctionner si ceci n’est pas le cas.
Attendre deux minutes pendant que le capteur effectue un cycle
par la distance de détection automatique.

5. Installation câblée
AVERTISSEMENT: Risque d’électrocution. S’assurer que
l’alimentation ait été débranchée avant d’effectuer les
procédures suivantes.
Desserrer les vis du bloc de branchement et retirer les fils du bloc
de branchement supérieur.
Desserrer l’écrou extérieur du serre-câbles et retirer le cordon
d’alimentation.
Faire passer les fils d’alimentation par le serre-câble et les
connecter au bloc de branchement supérieur.
REMARQUE: Si une installation câblée est requise, le serre-câble
pourrait devoir être remplacé, selon le fil utilisé.
Serrer l’écrou sur le serre-câbles.
Remettre le couvercle en place et installer et serrer les cinq vis.
Mettre l’alimentation c.a. sous tension.
Fixer un fil supplémentaire sous le comptoir.
IMPORTANT! La zone qui se trouve à l’avant du capteur doit être
exempte d’objets pendant le cycle d’apprentissage de deux minutes;
le robinet risque de ne pas fonctionner si ceci n’est pas le cas.
Attendre deux minutes pendant que le capteur effectue un cycle
par la distance de détection automatique.

6. Réglage optionnel limite de température
ATTENTION: Risque de blessures. Des brûlures pourraient
résulter si le seuil de température n’est pas configuré
correctement.
REMARQUE: Il n’est pas nécessaire d’ajuster la température de
l’eau si elle est inférieure à 105°F (41°C).
REMARQUE: Utiliser un thermomètre qualifié pour 120°F (49°C)
ou plus.
REMARQUE: Lorsqu’une alimentation d’eau tempérée est utilisée,
installer le bouchon anti-vandalisme.
Ajuster la température limite d’eau – Installations de la poignée
Ouvrir l’eau et ajuster la position maximum d’eau chaude en
tournant la poignée vers l’arrière du robinet jusqu’à ce qu’elle
s’arrête.
Déterminer la température en utilisant un thermomètre. Si la
température est supérieure à 105°F (41°C), suivre les étapes
ci-dessous.
AVIS: Ne pas tourner la poignée lors du retrait de la vis.
Utiliser la clé hexagonale de 2,5 mm fournie pour retirer et retenir
la vis de la poignée.
Retirer et retenir la poignée avec la rondelle à ressort.
