Before You Begin
-Shut off the main water supply.
-Observe all local plumbing codes.
-If possible, install this faucet before installing the sink.
-If the supply tubes must be cut, allow for required penetration into
the shut-off valve.
-The escutcheon nut from the handle kit is required for installation.
-Inspect the supply lines for damage. Replace as necessary.
-Kohler reserves the right to make revisions in the design of faucets
without notice, as specified in the price book.

1. Spout/Handspray Installation
-Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside of
the spout base according to the putty manufacturer’s instructions.
-Thread the nut and washer to the bottom of the shank.
-Insert the shank from the bottom of the sink, and thread the spout
onto the shank. Back the spout off 1/8 turn after the spout bottoms
out.
-Tighten the nut and washer to secure the shank to the sink.
-Slide the provided gasket onto the spray holder.
-Slide the spray holder through the mounting hole from above.
-From under the sink, securely hand tighten the nut.
-Insert the handspray hose through the spray holder, and attach the
hose to the shank tee, using thread sealant.

2. Valve Body/Tee Installation
-Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the undersides of
the handle escutcheons according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
-Insert the valve bodies into the mounting holes from the top of the
sink. Make sure the hot valve body (marked red) is installed in the
left-hand hole (as viewed from the front of the sink).
-Install a washer and nut to the bottom of the valve bodies.
-Align the valve bodies so the copper tubing faces to the outside.
-Wrench tighten the nuts.
-Remove any excess plumbers putty.
-Connect the hoses to the shank tee, and tighten.

3. Supply Installation
-Slip the ground joint nut onto the supply tube.
-Carefully position the round end of the supply tube squarely to the
valve inlet and supply stop.
-Tighten all nuts.
4. Installation Checkout
-Make sure the faucet handles are in the off position.
-Turn on the main water supply (not the faucet), and check for leaks.
-Remove the aerator.
-Turn on the hot and cold faucet handles and run the water for about
aminutetoremoveanydebris.
-Check for leaks.
-Turn the water off, and reattach the aerator.
