Tools and Materials
Before You Begin
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Do not install the bath
faucet in an area where it may inadvertently be used for
support by the bather.
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Select a cutting tool
appropriate for the deck/rim surface type. Refer to the
surface manufacturer’s instructions for the proper cutting
procedures.
IMPORTANT! Install to a finished deck only. Cannot be installed
on a rough deck.
IMPORTANT! Do not install the spout to a bath valve other than
the one included. The handles are not compatible with other valves.
IMPORTANT! Choose only handles that are listed on the
specification sheet for this product. Other handles will not install on
the valves correctly.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Protect the surface of the bath deck/rim during the installation.
Handles must be purchased separately.

1. Prepare the Site
NOTE: To simplify future servicing, install an access panel to reach
the plumbing.
NOTICE: In standard installations, locate the side valves 4″(102
mm) from the spout center, as shown in the diagram. The side
valves may be installed anywhere on the deck. Adjust the
dimensions as needed.
Determine the mounting hole locations for the spout and valves.
Refer to the roughing-in dimensions illustrated for proper
placement and diameter.
For a finished bath deck/rim less than 5/8″(16 mm) thick: Install
wood reinforcing material to the underside of the deck/rim. The
combined thickness of the reinforcing material and the deck/rim
must not exceed 3″(76 mm).
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Select a cutting tool
appropriate for the deck/rim surface type. Refer to the
surface manufacturer’s instructions for the proper cutting
procedures.
NOTICE: Do not exceed a 1-1/4″(32 mm) diameter hole for the
spout and 1-1/2″(38 mm) diameter hole for the side valves.
Maximum contact area is necessary for a successful installation.
Carefully cut mounting holes for the spout and side valves.
Install or relocate the water supplies as needed.

2. Install the Mounting Hardware
Insert the large O-ring into the larger groove of the washer and
the small O-ring in the smaller groove of the washer.
From above the deck/rim: With the large O-ring in the washer
facing down, place the washer over the mounting hole. Insert the
supply tube assembly through the washer.
From underneath the deck/rim: Orient the tabs on the plate up.
Slide the plate onto the supply tube assembly until it is flush with
the underside of the deck/rim, then secure with the screws. Slide
the flat washer onto the supply tube assembly, then secure with
the nut.

3. Install the Valves
Measure the thickness of the finished deck. If the deck is less than
1-1/4″(32 mm) the dished washer will be required. If the deck is
thicker than 1-1/4″(32 mm) thick, the dished washer is optional.
Move the mounting hardware down one of the valves as far as
possible.
Insert the valve through the opening in the deck from
underneath.
Thread the collar onto the valve from above until it stops.
Pull up the valve assembly and tighten the setscrew in the collar.
Repeat with the second valve.

4. Cut the Tubing
If the tee is not attached to the spout tube, attach it now.
Measure the distance between the tee inlets and each valve outlet.
Cut tubing to fit.
Pivot the valve bodies and install the two pieces of tubing.
Confirm the tubes are cut to the correct dimensions.

5. Connect the Valves
With the tubes in place, push each valve up and apply plumbers
putty or other sealant to the underside of the collar.
Tighten the mounting hardware to secure the valve.
Connect the hot and cold valves to the appropriate supply.
Connect the hot and cold supply lines to the hot and cold faucet
valves.

6. Complete the Installation
With the supply stops in the closed position, turn on the main
water supply.
Open the supply stops. Keep the valves closed.
Check for leaks.
Turn off the water.
Remove the plug.
Install the spout and secure it with the setscrew.
Turn the water supply on.
Run water through the spout and check for leaks.
Care and Cleaning
For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your

•Use a mild detergent such as liquid dishwashing soap and warm
water for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners that may scratch
or dull the surface.
•Carefully read the cleaner product label to ensure the cleaner is
safe for use on the material.
•Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area
before applying to the entire surface.
•Do not allow cleaners to sit or soak on the surface.
•Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately
after cleaner application. Rinse and dry any overspray that lands
on nearby surfaces.
•Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive
material such as a brush or scouring pad to clean surfaces.

Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty
Kohler Co. warrants its Faucets* manufactured after January 1, 1997, to
be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the
original consumer purchaser owns his or her home. If the Faucet
should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler Co. will, free of charge,
mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the Faucet in good
working condition. This warranty applies only to Kohler Faucets
installed in the United States of America, Canada or Mexico (″North
America″).
Kohler Co. also warrants all other aspects of the faucet or accessories
(″Faucet″)*, (except gold, non-Vibrant
®
, non-chrome finishes) to be free
of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use
for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns his or her home.
This warranty applies only to Kohler Faucets installed in North
America. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will,
at its election, repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make
appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident,
misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty. Improper care and
cleaning will void the warranty**. Proof of purchase (original sales
receipt) must be provided to Kohler Co. with all warranty claims.
Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other

incidental or consequential costs. In no event shall the liability of
Kohler Co. exceed the purchase price of the Faucet.
If the Faucet is used commercially or is installed outside of North
America, or if the finish is gold, non-Vibrant or a painted or powder
coated color finish, Kohler Co. warrants the Faucet to be free from
defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date the
product is installed, under Kohler Co.’s standard one-year limited
warranty.

**Never use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach,
acids, waxes, alcohol, solvents or other products not recommended for
chrome. This will void the warranty.

It is recommended that at the time of purchase, you verify that all
accessories and components are complete in this package.
This Kohler product is warranted to be free of defects in material and
workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase as shown on
the invoice or receipt.
1. Kohler Co. will only service its commercialized products through its
authorized distributors.
2. To obtain warranty service, please present the invoice and
corresponding warranty.
3. Through its authorized distributors, Kohler Co. promises to repair
the defective product or provide a new replacement or an equivalent
model (in those cases that the model has been discontinued) when the
product is beyond repair, without any charge to the consumer.
4. The time of repair will not exceed six (6) weeks commencing on the
date the product is received.
5. It is recommended that the consumer save the invoice or receipt as
additional protection, as it may substitute the warranty in the case that
there is a discrepancy in the validity of the warranty.
EXCEPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
The Warranty will not be valid in the following cases:
1. When the product is not operated in accordance with the
instructions concerning use and operation set forth in the owner’s
manual or installation instructions, and when the recommendations
and warnings included are not observed.
2. When the product has been modified or dismantled partially or
totally; or has been used in a negligent fashion and as a consequence
has suffered damages attributable to the consumer, individual, or
hardware not authorized by Kohler Co.
3. This warranty does not cover the damages as a result of disaster
such as fire or acts of God, including flooding, earthquake, or electric

IMPORTANT! Ne pas installer le bec sur un robinet de baignoire
autre que celui fourni. Les poignées ne sont pas compatibles avec les
autres robinets.
IMPORTANT! Choisir uniquement des poignées indiquées dans la
fiche technique de ce produit. D’autres poignées ne s’installeraient
pas de façon correcte sur les robinets.

1. Préparer le site
REMARQUE: Pour simplifier les interventions ultérieures, prévoir
un panneau d’accès à la plomberie.
AVIS: Dans les installations standard, placer les robinets latéraux à
4″(102 mm) de l’axe du bec, comme indiqué sur le schéma. Les
robinets latéraux peuvent être installés n’importe où sur le plateau.
Ajuster les dimensions selon les besoins.
Déterminer l’emplacement des trous de fixation pour le bec et les
robinets. Voir les emplacements et diamètres corrects sur le plan
de raccordement coté.
Plateau/rebord de baignoire fini de moins de 5/8″(16 mm)
d’épaisseur : Poser un renfort en bois sur le dessous du
plateau/rebord. L’épaisseur combinée du renfort et du
plateau/rebord ne doit pas dépasser 3″(76 mm).
ATTENTION: Risque de dommages matériels. Choisir un
outil de coupe adapté à la surface du plateau/rebord à
découper. Voir les instructions de découpage dans les
instructions du fabricant de la surface.
AVIS: Ne pas prévoir un trou de plus de 1-1/4″(32 mm) de
diamètre pour le bec et des trous de plus de 1-1/2″(38 mm) de
diamètre pour les robinets latéraux. La surface de contact doit être
maximale pour assurer installation réussie.
Avec précaution, découper les trous de fixation pour le bec et les
robinets latéraux.
Installer ou déplacer les arrivées d’eau comme il se doit.

2. Installer la visserie de fixation
Insérer le grand joint torique dans la grande gorge de la rondelle
et le petit joint torique dans la petite gorge de la rondelle.
Depuis le dessus du plateau/rebord : Avec le grand joint torique
tourné vers le bas, placer la rondelle sur le trou de fixation.
Enfiler le tube d’arrivée à travers la rondelle.
Depuis le dessous du plateau/rebord : Placer les pattes de la
plaque vers le haut. Enfiler la plaque sur le tube d’arrivée jusqu’à
ce qu’elle appuie contre le dessous du plateau/rebord, puis la
fixer avec les vis. Enfiler la rondelle plate sur le tube d’arrivée,
puis fixer avec l’écrou.
Poser le bouchon de tuyau (non représenté) fourni avec la
visserie.

3. Installer les robinets
Mesurer l’épaisseur du plateau fini. Si le plateau mesure moins de
1-1/4″(32 mm) d’épaisseur, la rondelle bombée doit être utilisée.
Si le plateau mesure plus de 1-1/4″(32 mm) d’épaisseur , la
rondelle bombée est facultative.
Pousser la visserie de fixation de l’un des robinets le plus bas
possible.
Enfiler le robinet à travers l’ouverture dans le plateau par le
dessous.
Visser le collier à fond sur le robinet par le dessus.
Tirer le robinet vers le haut et serrer la vis d’arrêt dans le collier.
Répéter cette opération avec le deuxième robinet.

4. Couper le tube
Si le té n’est pas raccordé au tube du bec, l’attacher maintenant.
Mesurer la distance entre les entrées du té et chaque sortie de
robinet.
Couper le tube à la longueur.
Pivoter les corps de robinet et poser les deux sections de tube.
Vérifier que les tubes sont coupés aux bonnes dimensions.
