PLUNGER ARM KIT
1007966, 1007967, 1037334, 1037335
PURPOSE
Use these instructions to install the replacement plunger arm.
NOTE: Toilet will flush several times while you are installing the new plunger arm or adjusting the flush plate height. If
you would like to stop the flushing, shut off the water supply to the toilet.

Removethescrewontheoutsideedgeofthelockingbar.Loosentheinsidescrewandslidethelockingbarcounterclockwise
until it is clear of the plunger arm.
Remove the plunger arm by tilting the end near the locking bar up and pulling toward you.
NOTE: During the next step the toilet will flush if the water is not turned off.
Install the new plunger with plunger arm hook facing in downward direction on top of the trip arm. Place the other end
of plunger arm in the support slot. The clear plastic guard on the plunger arm should rest on the trip arm. If the clear plastic
guard on the plunger arm doesn’t rest on the trip arm, bend the trip arm until the two pieces fit together properly. Bend
slightly beyond contact area to allow for spring back.
NOTE: The plunger arm hook and the trip arm should not contact each other while at rest.
Swivel the locking bar into place to hold the plunger arm in position. Do not secure with the screw now.
Check the spacing between the top surface of the actuator and the bottom side of the plunger arm. The spacing should be
1/32” (.8 mm) - 1/16” (2 mm).
If the spacing is not correct, remove the new plunger arm. Remove the setscrew at the top of the actuator with a phillips
screwdriver and adjust the height. Turn clockwise to lower or counterclockwise to raise. If spacing is correct hold the actua-
tor to keep it from turning and tighten the screw. Reinstall the new plunger arm.
Check for proper positioning between the trip arm and plunger arm. Secure with the locking bar screw.
NOTE: Turn the water back on if it is turned off.
Test the installation by slapping the trip lever HARD while watching the connection area where the trip arm and plunger
arm meet. The arm hook should prevent the plunger arm from jumping off the trip arm and disengaging. If arms disengage,
adjust the trip arm again for a better connection.

Remove the screw on the outside edge of the locking clip. Loosen the inside screw and slide the locking clip counterclockwise
until it is clear of the plunger arm.
Remove the plunger arm by tilting the end near the locking clip up and pulling toward you.

INSTRUCTIONS KIT DE RÉPARATION
OBJECTIF
Utiliser ces instructions pour installer le bras du plongeur de remplacement sur un WC de modèle K- 4413.
REMARQUE : La chasse du WC s’activera plusieurs fois pendant l’installation du bras du plongeur ou le réglage de
hauteur de la plaque de chasse. Pour arrêter la chasse, fermer l’alimentation d’eau au WC

Retirer la vis du rebord extérieur de la barre d’arrêt. Desserrer la vis interne et glisser la barre d’arrêt vers la gauche jusqu’à
ce qu’elle soit dégagée du bras du plongeur.
Retirer le bras du plongeur en inclinant l’extrémité de la barre d’arrêt vers le haut et en la tirant vers soi.
REMARQUE : Durant l’étape suivante, la chasse s’activera si l’eau n’est pas coupée.
Installer le nouveau plongeur avec le crochet du bras pointé vers le bas sur le dessus du bras de déclenchement. Placer l’autre
extrémité du bras du plongeur dans la rainure de support. La protection plastique claire du bras du plongeur devrait reposer
sur le bras de déclenchement. Si la protection plastique claire du bras du plongeur ne repose pas, plier le bras de
déclenchement jusqu’à ce que les deux pièces s’ajustent. Plier légèrement au-delà de la surface de contact pour accommoder
le ressort arrière.
REMARQUE : Le crochet du bras du plongeur et le bras de déclenchement ne devraient pas être en contact lorsqu’ils sont
relâchés.
Pivoter la barre d’arrêt en place de manière à maintenir le bras du plongeur en position. Ne pas sécuriser avec la vis
maintenant.
Vérifier l’espace entre la surface supérieure de l’interrupteur d’air et du côté inférieur du bras du plongeur. L’espacement
devrait être de 1/32” (.8 mm) - 1/16” (2 mm).
Si l’espacement n’est pas correct, retirer le nouveau bras du plongeur. Retirer la vis de serrage au- dessus de l’interrupteur
d’air avec un tournevis cruciforme et ajuster la hauteur. Tourner vers la droite pour baisser et vers la gauche pour réhausser.
Si l’espacement est correct, retenir l’interrupteur d’air pour éviter qu’il ne tourne et serrer la vis. Réinstaller le nouveau bras
du plongeur.
Vérifier le positionnement correct entre le bras de déclenchement et le bras du plongeur. Sécuriser avec la vis de la barre
d’arrêt.
REMARQUE : Rouvrir l’eau si elle ne l’est pas.
Tester l’installation en tappant FORTEMENT le levier de déclenchement tout en gardant un oeil sur la connexion des deux
bras. Le crochet du bras devrait prévenir le bras du plongeur d’éjecter le bras de déclenchemet et de le désengager. Si le bras
se désengage, ajuster encore le bras de déclenchement pour une meilleure connexion.

Retirer la vis du rebord extérieur de la barre d’arrêt. Desserrer la vis interne et glisser la barre d’arrêt vers la gauche jusqu’à
ce qu’elle soit dégagée du bras du plongeur.
Retirer le bras du plongeur en inclinant l’extrémité près du clip d’arrêt vers le haut et vers soi.
REMARQUE : Durant l’étape suivante, la chasse s’activera si l’eau n’est pas coupée.
Installer le nouveau plongeur avec le crochet du bras pointé vers le bas sur le dessus du bras de déclenchement. Placer l’autre

le ressort arrière.
REMARQUE : Le crochet du bras du plongeur et le bras de déclenchement ne devraient pas être en contact lorsqu’ils sont
relâchés.
Pivoter le clip d’arrêt en place de manière à maintenir le bras du plongeur en position. Ne pas replacer la vis maintenant.
Vérifier l’espace entre la surface supérieure de l’interrupteur d’air et du côté inférieur du bras du plongeur. L’espacement
devraitêtrede1/8”(3mm).
Si l’espacement n’est pas correct, retirer le nouveau bras du plongeur. Retirer la vis de serrage au- dessus de l’interrupteur
d’air avec un tournevis cruciforme et ajuster la hauteur. Tourner vers la droite pour baisser et vers la gauche pour réhausser.
Si l’espacement est correct, retenir l’interrupteur d’air pour éviter qu’il ne tourne et serrer la vis. Replacer le bras du plongeur.
Vérifier le positionnement correct entre le bras de déclenchement et le bras du plongeur. Replacer et serrer la vis du clip
d’arrêt.
REMARQUE : Rouvrir l’eau si elle ne l’est pas..
Tester l’installation en tappant FORTEMENTle levier de déclenchement tout en gardant un oeil sur la connexion des deux
bras. Le crochet du bras devrait prévenir le bras du plongeur d’éjecter le bras de déclenchemet et de le désengager. Si le bras
se désengage, ajuster encore le bras de déclenchement pour une meilleure connexion.

OBJETIVO
Utilice estas instrucciones para instalar el brazo del émbolo de repuesto.
NOTA: El inodoro realizará la descarga varias veces al instalarse el nuevo brazo del émbolo o cuando se ajuste la altura
de la placa de descarga. Si desea detener la descarga, cierre el suministro de agua al inodoro.

Retire el tornillo situado en el borde exterior de la barra de sujeción. Afloje el tornillo interior y deslice la barra hacia la
izquierda hasta liberarla del brazo del émbolo.
Desmonte el brazo del émbolo inclinando el extremo más cercano a la barra de sujeción y luego tirando hacia sí.
NOTA: Duranteelsiguientepaso,elinodororealizaráladescargasielsuministroestáabierto.
Instale el nuevo émbolo con el gancho del brazo orientado hacia abajo en la parte superior del brazo de descarga. Coloque
el otro extremo del brazo del émbolo en la ranura de soporte. El protector de plástico transparente del brazo del émbolo
debe apoyarse sobre el brazo de descarga. Si el protector no descansa sobre el brazo de descarga, doble éste hasta que ambas
piezas se ajusten adecuadamente. Doble el brazo de manera que sobresalga un poco del área de contacto y así hacer que
salte.
NOTA: El gancho del brazo del émbolo y el brazo de descarga no deben estar en contacto cuando no estén en movimiento.
Gire la barra de sujeción a su lugar, para sostener el brazo del émbolo. No fije con el tornillo en este momento.
Verifique que haya suficiente espacio entre la superficie superior del accionador y el lado inferior del brazo del émbolo. El
espacio debe ser entre 1/32” (0,8 mm) y 1/16” (2 mm).
Si el espacio no es correcto, desmonte el nuevo brazo del émbolo. Desatornille el tornillo de fijación en la parte superior
del accionador con un destornillador de cruz o Phillips y ajuste la altura. Gire hacia la derecha para aumentar la altura o
hacia la izquierda para bajarla. Si el espacio es correcto, sostenga el accionador para evitar que se mueva y apriete el tornillo.
Vuelca a colocar el brazo del émbolo nuevo.
Verifique que el brazo del émbolo y el brazo de descarga estén correctamente colocados. Fije con el tornillo de la barra de
sujeción y apriételo.
NOTA: Abra el suministro de agua de ser el caso.
Para probar el funcionamiento, golpee la palanca de descarga CON FUERZA yalmismotiempoobserveeláreadeconexión
del brazo del émbolo y el brazo de descarga. El gancho del brazo debe evitar que el brazo del émbolo se salga del brazo
de descarga. Si los brazos se desenganchan, vuelva a ajustar el brazo de descarga.

Retire el tornillo situado en el borde exterior de la barra de sujeción. Afloje el tornillo interior y deslice la barra hacia la
izquierda hasta liberarla del brazo del émbolo.
Desmonte el brazo del émbolo inclinando el extremo más cercano al soporte de sujeción y luego tirando hacia sí.

Instale el nuevo émbolo con el gancho del brazo orientado hacia abajo, en la parte superior del brazo de descarga. Coloque
el otro extremo del brazo del émbolo en la ranura de soporte. El protector de plástico transparente del brazo del émbolo
debe apoyarse sobre el brazo de descarga. Si el protector no descansa sobre el brazo de descarga, doble éste hasta que ambas
piezas se ajusten adecuadamente. Doble el brazo de manera que sobresalga un poco del área de contacto y así hacer que
salte.
NOTA: El gancho del brazo del émbolo y el brazo de descarga no deben estar en contacto cuando no estén en movimiento.
Gire el soporte de sujeción a su lugar, para sostener el brazo del émbolo. No fije con el tornillo en este momento.
Verifique que haya suficiente espacio entre la superficie superior del accionador y el lado inferior del brazo del émbolo. El
espacio debe de ser de 1/8” (3 mm).
Si el espacio no es correcto, desmonte el nuevo brazo del émbolo. Desatornille el tornillo de fijación en la parte superior
del accionador con un destornillador de cruz o Phillips y ajuste la altura. Gire hacia la derecha para aumentar la altura o
hacia la izquierda para bajarla. Si el espacio es correcto, sostenga el accionador para evitar que se mueva y apriete el tornillo.
Vuelva a colocar el brazo del émbolo nuevo.
Verifique que el brazo del émbolo y el brazo de descarga estén correctamente colocados. Fije con el tornillo del soporte de
sujeción y apriételo.
NOTA: Abra el suministro de agua si está cerrado.
Pruebe el funcionamiento golpeando la palanca de descarga CON FUERZA y al mismo tiempo observe el área de conexión
del brazo del émbolo y el brazo de descarga. El gancho del brazo debe evitar que el brazo del émbolo se salga del brazo
de descarga. Si el brazo se desengancha, vuelva a ajustar el brazo de descarga.
