Before You Begin

shatter. Do not touch the edge of the tempered glass panel with tools or any hard objects.
IMPORTANT! Leave this manual for the end user. Read these instructions before installing or using this
product.
IMPORTANT! This door is designed to accommodate walls that are less than 3/8″(10 mm) out of plumb.
Verify the area the door will be attached to is within 3/8″(10 mm) of plumb. The door may not function
properly if the wall is more than 3/8″(10 mm) out of plumb.
Before starting the installation, lay out and identify all of the parts. Inspect them for damage.
Place a drop cloth in the bottom of your shower to cover your drain and ease clean-up.
Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions pertaining to the sealant application on the door.
Sealing areas other than those shown may cause leaking.
Two people should perform this installation.
If your model includes a return panel, follow the return panel instructions and consult these
instructions as needed.

1. Determine the Door Configuration
IMPORTANT! Install the pivot side of the door on the side opposite the showerhead for easy access to
shower controls.
IMPORTANT! This door is designed to open to the left or right. To change the orientation turn the entire
door around 180 degrees.
Determine whether the door will pivot on the right or left side.
Confirm no accessories will contact the door panel when it is opened or closed.
Make sure the door can swing freely in the chosen configuration.

2. Prepare for Installation
IMPORTANT! This door is designed to accommodate walls that are less than 3/8″(10 mm) out of plumb.
Verify the area the door will be attached to is within 3/8″(10 mm) of plumb. The door may not function
properly if the wall is more than 3/8″(10 mm) out of plumb.
NOTE: Cover the drain hole or close the drain to avoid losing parts.
Confirm the shower base is level.
Confirm the walls are within 3/8″(10 mm) of plumb.
Mark the wall 3/4″(19 mm) from the front edge of the shower base. Repeat for the other side.

3. Prepare the Strike Side Wall Jamb
IMPORTANT! Do not install the strike side wall jamb until instructed. The strike side wall jamb is on the
same side as the door handle holes.
Position the strike side wall jamb on the wall 3/4″(19 mm) from the front ledge of the shower
base.
Plumb the wall jamb using a level.
Temporarily secure the wall jamb with masking tape.
Mark the location of the four wall jamb slots on the wall.
Remove the masking tape, then move the wall jamb to a safe area.
IMPORTANT! The supplied 6 mm drill bit is not suitable for drilling through tile. For tile installations,
usea6mmtile bit.
Slowly drill the marked hole location, using the provided 6 mm drill bit for non-tiled walls.
Insert an anchor into each hole. Make sure the anchors are flush with the finished wall.

4. Install the Pivot Side Wall Jamb
Position the pivot side wall jamb on the wall 3/4″(19 mm) from the front ledge of the shower base.
Plumb the wall jamb using a level.
Temporarily secure the wall jamb with masking tape.
Mark the location of the four wall jamb slots on the wall.
Remove the masking tape, then move the wall jamb to a safe area.
IMPORTANT! The supplied 6 mm drill bit is not suitable for drilling through tile. For tile installations,
usea6mmtile bit.
Slowly drill the marked hole location, using the provided 6 mm drill bit for non-tiled walls.
Insert an anchor into each hole. Make sure the anchors are flush with the finished wall.
Secure the wall jamb to the wall using the four #8 x 1-1/2″screws.

5. Position the Door Assembly
CAUTION: Risk of injury. Tempered glass should not contact hard surfaces or it may shatter. Do
not touch the edge of the tempered glass panel with tools or any hard objects.
Position the strike side wall jamb on the door frame.
Slide the pivot side of the door frame into the installed pivot side wall jamb.
Adjust the door frame until it is in the final installation position.

6. Center the Door Frame
Open the door and remove the rubber seal from the inside of the door frame.
Confirm the strike side wall jamb holes are aligned with the anchors. Adjust if needed.
Install the #8 x 1-1/2″screws through the access holes in the door frame.
Fully tighten the screws.
Reinstall the rubber seal.
Center the door frame between the wall jambs. Dimension Xshould be the same on both sides.

7. Install the Door Assembly
Confirm the door frame is square. Adjust the frame if needed following the adjustment steps in this
manual.
On the inside of the shower, drill four 3 mm holes through the pre-drilled holes in the wall channel
using the provided 3 mm drill bit.
Install a #8 x 1/4″screw in each hole.
Repeat with the second wall jamb.
NOTE: The door may require adjustment; do not make final adjustments until the header and handle are
installed.

8. Install the Handle
Position the handle with the inserts on the door. The inserts should go through the corresponding
holes.
Install gaskets on the inserts.
Slide the second handle onto the inserts.
Secure the handle by tightening the two setscrews in the handle.

9. Install the Cover Panels
Install four panel clips, evenly spaced, on each wall jamb.
Install the cover panel into the clips. Push until flush with the wall.
Partially remove the rubber seal as shown.
Apply a small amount of silicone sealant to the channel.
Reinstall the rubber seal.

10. Install the Seals
Install the Bottom Seal (Required)
NOTE: View shown above is from inside the shower.
Remove the backing from the adhesive tape on one of the seals.
Install the door seal to the bottom of the door panel, adhesive area over the hinge.
Install the Top Seal (Optional)
NOTE: View shown above is from inside the shower.
Remove the backing from the adhesive tape on the second seal.
Install the door seal to the top of the door panel, adhesive area over the hinge.

11. Adjust the Door
Open and close the door panel and check for smooth operation and correct alignment.
If the door catch needs adjustment, adjust the door catch in or out by turning the setscrew.
If the door is out of alignment, unlock the adjustment assembly by turning the locking screw
counterclockwise.
Adjust the alignment of the door with the adjustment screw.
Confirm correct alignment.
Turn the locking screw clockwise to lock the assembly.

12. Complete the Installation
IMPORTANT! Carefully follow the silicone sealant manufacturer’s instructions for application and curing
time.
NOTE: When applying silicone sealant, tape the area and use alcohol pads or denatured alcohol for
cleanup.
Apply silicone sealant to the seams as shown.
Apply a small amount of silicone sealant to the underside of each cap.
Install the caps to the top of the wall jambs.
Care and Cleaning
For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your KOHLER product:
•Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.
•Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately after applying cleaner. Rinse and
dry any overspray that lands on nearby surfaces.
•Do not allow cleaners to soak on surfaces.
•Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring
pad to clean surfaces.
•The ideal cleaning technique is to rinse thoroughly and wipe the product dry after each use.

from date of installation.
Kohler Co. will, at its election, repair, replace or make appropriate adjustment where Kohler Co. inspection
discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within one (1) year after installation. Kohler Co. is not
responsible for removal or installation costs. Use of in-tank toilet cleaners will void the warranty.

mm) de l’aplomb. La porte risque de ne pas fonctionner correctement si le faux aplomb du mur est
supérieur à 3/8″(10 mm).

Placer une toile de protection dans le bas de la douche pour recouvrir le drain et faciliter le
nettoyage.
Suivre de près les instructions du fabricant relatives à l’application de mastic sur la porte. Le
scellage de zones qui ne sont pas indiquées pourrait créer des fuites.
Deux personnes doivent effectuer cette installation.
Si le modèle en question comprend un panneau de retour, suivre les instructions relatives au
panneau de retour et consulter ces instructions selon les besoins.

1. Déterminer la configuration de la porte
IMPORTANT! Installer le côté avec pivotement de la porte sur le côté opposé de la pomme de douche
afin de faciliter l’accès aux commandes de la douche.
IMPORTANT! Cette porte est conçue pour s’ouvrir sur la gauche ou la droite. Pour changer l’orientation,
tourner la porte complète de 180 degrés.
Déterminer si la porte pivotera sur la droite ou la gauche.
Vérifier qu’aucun accessoire n’entre en contact avec le panneau de porte lorsque celle-ci est ouverte
ou fermée.
S’assurer que la porte peut pivoter librement dans la configuration choisie.
