BEDIENUNG
Für den optimalen Einsatz:
• Zustellung 1-2 µ über Sollmaß
• Zurückdrehen auf Sollmaß (Entspan-
nung der Verstellmechanik)
• erneut ca. 1/8 Umdrehung in Zustell-
richtung
• Die Tastatur muss dynamisch bedient
werden.
Die Tastatur reagiert am besten,
wenn man die gekennzeichneten
Flächen kurz und gezielt antippt,
langsames kräftiges Drücken führt
nicht zum Erfolg.
Achtung: Nicht mit dem Sechskant-
schlüssel oder spitzen Gegenständen
auf die Tastatur drücken!
Umschalten von mm auf inch und
zurück:
• umschalten auf ABSOLUTE-Mode
• RESET-Taste betätigen
• 1 Sekunde warten

schen dem Absolutmaß
und dem Differenzmaß.
Das Absolutmaß ist ein
fester Wert, der beim
Zusammenbau des Kopfes
kalibriert wird und nicht
verändert werden kann.
Der Nullwert des Abso-
lutmaßes entspricht der
mechanischen Nullstellung
des Kopfes (rotationssy-
metrisch).
Das Differenzmaß kann an
jeder beliebigen Stelle zu
Null gesetzt werden.

Fehler: Maß nicht in Ordnung
• Anzugsmoment falsch Anzugsmoment mit Drehmomentschlüssel über-
prüfen, ABS50: 25 Nm / ABS32: 15 Nm
• Falsche Schnittbedingungen, Dreh zahl, Wendeschneidplatte, Zustellung 
Schnittbedingungen überprüfen
• Maschinengenauigkeit Einwechselgenauigkeit der Maschine überprüfen
• Anlageäche des Feinverstellkopfes nicht in Ordnung  Planäche der
Werkzeugaufnahme überprüfen, Beschädigungen, Kratzer...
Fehler: Maßsprung
• Mechanik nicht entlastet  Nach der Einstellung des Maßes den In-
nensechskantschlüssel um ca. 1/8 Umdrehung zurückdrehen (Ent span nen
der Verstellmechanik)
Fehler: Probleme mit Unwucht
• Drehzahl zu hoch Achtung: Maximaldrehzahl 12.500 min–1
• evtl. KOMET Wuchtring einsetzen. (M04 00151: Wuchtring L01 15050 /
M04 00201: Wuchtring L01 15060) Weitere Angaben zu Wuchtring siehe

Für den optimalen Einsatz sind folgende Anzugsmomente sicherzustellen:

Der Kopf ist in Nullstellung (Schieber läuft rotationssymetrisch zur Spindel)
gewuchtet.

Fehler: Tastatur reagiert nicht
• Tastatur nicht korrekt bedient Tastatur auf den gekennzeichneten Flä-
chen kurz und gezielt antippen. Achtung: Tippen ist besser als Drücken.
Fehler: Flüssigkeit (Wasser/Kühlmittel) im Feinverstellkopf
• Batteriefach nicht ordnungsgemäß verschlossen Batteriedeckel ord-
nungsgemäß auf schrauben. Dichtung vom Deckel überprüfen!
• Feinverstellkopf durch mechanischen Einuss beschädigt  Reparatur durch
Firma KOMET
Fehler: Display ohne Anzeige
• Automatisches Abschalten der Anzeige Tastatur auf den gekenn-
zeichneten Flächen kurz und gezielt antippen
• Batterie leer Original KOMET Batterie einsetzen Bestell-Nr. 75000 12150.
Die Batterien von anderen Herstellern können zu Funktions störungen füh-
ren, da diese nicht auf die Elektronik abgestimmt sind.
• Batterie falsch eingebaut Batterie mit Pluspol nach innen einbauen (siehe
Signierung und Bild Seite 5)
Fehler: Displaymeldung BA LO
• Falsche Batterie / Batterie leer Original KOMET Batterie einsetzen Bestell-

Fehler: Displaymeldung Err2...3...4...5...6 erscheinen fortlaufend
• Feinverstellkopf ist über den Verstell bereich der Elektronik verschoben wor-
den Feinverstellkopf in Gegenrichtung zurückdrehen bis in den mittleren
Verstellbereich, Maß stellt sich inner halb 30 sec. wieder ein.

OPERATING
We recommend:
• Adjustment 1-2 µ over nominal
dimension
• Turn back to nominal dimension
(Release adjustment mechanism)
• Again approx. 1/8 turn towards
adjustment
• The keyboard requires dynamic ope-
ration: The buttons are tapped rather
than pressed. The keyboard reacts
best when the button surface is tap-
ped in a short and distinct manner.
Long or hard pressing actions will not
be successful.
Important note: Do not apply
pressure on the keyboard with the
hexagonal key or with a pointed
object!
Switching between metric and
inch modes and vice versa:
• switch to the ABSOLUTE mode
• tap RESET key
• wait 1 second

Type of error: Bore size is not correct
• Torque value of the ABS connection is incorrect Verify the torque specifi-
cations with a torque wrench, ABS50: 25 Nm = 221 inch/lbs, ABS32: 15 Nm
= 132 inch/lbs
• Wrong cutting conditions  Review insert, SFM, Feed, depth of cut
• Accuracy of machine  Review the machine tool change accuracy
• ABS clamping face on the micro adjustable boring head is not tting pro-
perly Verify the clamping face of the Micro adjustable boring head and
the spindle connection for damages/scratches or dirt
Type of error: Cutting size varies
• The adjustment mechanic is not relieved properly After the adjustment of
the cutting diameter, turn back the adjustment wrench by about a 1/8 turn.
(Relieve the adjustment mechanic)
Type of error: Chatter or out of round bore
• Out of balance condition Attention: Maximum revolution speed is
12,500 rpm. Use KOMET balancing ring. (M04 00151: Balancing ring
L01 15050; M04 00201: Balancing ring L01 15060). For more information:

Type of error: The keypad shows no results
• The keypad was not pressed correctly  Press the keypad on the ON or R
marking. Tapping the keypads is better than pressing.
Type of error: Liquid (water/coolant) in head
• Battery compartment not properly closed  Remove battery cover, check
cover O-ring.
• Internal mechanical damage  Repair by KOMET
Type of error: Digital display is blank
• The digital display turns off after 30 seconds Press ON on the keypad
• Battery is empty  Replace with an original KOMET battery: Order No.
75000 12150. The batteries from other suppliers can create malfunctions of
the electronics.
• Battery is mounted wrong Mount the battery with its positive pole to the
inside (see marking and pictures on page 9)
Type of error: Display shows BA LO
• Wrong battery / battery is empty Use the original KOMET battery Order

• The boring head was adjusted beyond the maximum adjustment range of

Pour une utilisation optimale :

de tour dans la direction du réglage
• Attention : le affichage ne doit pas
bouger. Les boutons doivent être

Erreur: Cote pas bonne
• Mauvais couple de serrage serrer avec une clef dynamométrique ABS50
- 25 Nm / ABS32 - 15 Nm
• Mauvaise condition de coupe, rotation plaquette, profondeur de passe 
contrôler les conditions
• Précision machine contrôler la précision
• Phase d‘appui de la tête non conforme contrôler la phase d'appui
endommagement, rayures ...
Erreur: Saut de cote
• Dépression du mécanisme non effectuée après le réglage de la cote, il
est nécessaire de dévisser de 1/8 de tours (dépression)
Erreur: Problème d‘équilibrage
•
Vitesse de rotation trop haute  attention, rotation maximale 12.500 tours/
mn , éventuellement utiliser les bagues d'équilibrage KOMET (M04 00151:
bague L01 15050; M04 00201: bague L01 15060). Pour plus d'information

OPERAZIONI
Per un impiego ottimale si
raccomanda:
• Impostare la quota a 1-2 µ quella
nominale.
• Ritornare indietro a quota nominale
per sganciare il meccanismo.
• Ruotare di 1/8 di giro in senso orario.
• I tasti richiedono operazioni dina-
miche. Il sistema reagisce meglio se
i tasti vengono premuti brevemente
con decisione. Non premerli mai a
lungo con eccessiva pressione.
Importante: non usare la chiave
esagonale di registrazione o oggetti
appuntiti per premere i tasti.
Commutazione display da mm a
pollici e viceversa:
• commutare in modalità assoluta
• premere il tasto RESET
• attendere 1 sec.
• premere RESET entro 1 sec.
• attendere 1 sec.
• premere ON entro 1 sec.
• attendere 1 sec.

Per un corretto uso applicare inizialmente i seguenti valori di coppia di serraggio:

UTILIZACIÓN
Para una utilización óptima, reco-
mendamos:
• Avance 1-2 µ sobre medida
• Girar hacia atrás a medida (Aoja-
miento del ajuste mecanico)
• renovar aproximadamente 1/8 revo-
lucion en direccion de avance
• El teclado requiere operación dinámi-
ca: Los botones deben ser manipu-
lados dinámicamente, es decir, una
presión corta y precisa sobre el botón
deseado.
Nota importante: No aplicar presi-
ón al teclado con la llave hexagonal o
con un objeto puntiagudo!
Cambio de mms. en pulgadas y
viceversa:
• Cambiar al modo ABSOLUTO
• Presionar la tecla RESET
• Esperar un segundo
