License
You will need a software license to operate the WBT Tube system. Request it from our web page:

The license string must be entered in the Installation dialog box in the EK80 software.
• Install the EK80 software on a PC, and the WBT
Tube on subsea platform together with the
transducer(s).
• Connect each transceiver board to the network.
• Connect one or more transducers to each
transceiver.
• Apply power.
Install the transducers in the EK80 software in order
to communicate with the WBT Tube.
For each transducer, using the Installation dialog
box, and the Model list, select the correct transducer
type and enter the serial number.
Thank you for purchasing the WBT Tube transceiver
The WBT Tube is a scientific echo sounder transeiver designed for subsea applications. It is designed for long-
term use down to 4000 m depth. The WBT Tube comprises two independent echo sounder boards. Each contains
four individual transceiver channels with multiplexing functionality. This allows for great flexibility when you
setup a system.It requires an external power supply and there are two standard versions available, 15 V DC and
20-50 V DC. EK80 software provides full real-time control of the WBT Tube using an Ethernet interface. The
WBT Tube, transducers and the EK80 software must all be installed and communicate before you can start
using the system.

Use the Installation dialog box and enter the trans-
ducers available in the EK80 software
Connect the available transducers to the correct
transceivers and select.
The transducer connectors are located at one single
side of the WBT Tube and they are labled 1 through
4.
The transceiver network connectors are located at
the other end of the WBT Tube and are labeled 1
and 2.
Make sure the correct transceiver and transducer is
selected according to wiring diagram.
Enter Normal mode from the Operation menu.
Set Ping to On.
Define Ping Mode to Interval.
And there you go, acoustic pulses are transmitted
and received.
