Operating instructions Granulator GR140:
GR 140:
GR 140 has been developed for continuous cutting of paper and plastic, e.g. edge trimming of roll cutters
and printing machines, etc. The Granulators are so that they can be built into both new and existing pipe
systems.
Standard:
Granulator GR 140 with 0,75kW motor, 3x400V, 50Hz.
Accessory:
Integrated frequency converter for 500-4000 rpm.
Oil system.
Transition piece for integration into other pipe sizes.
Granulator marking:
Granulator type GR 140 with product number 100540.
The Granulator is also marked with the CE mark and an arrow showing the direction of rotation and
through-flow direction.

Installation and fitting:
When pipes are being fitted on the Granulator, a fixing collar with screws should be used so that the pipe
can only be removed with the aid of tools. The pipes and a support plate for the motor can retain the
Granulator.
When pipes and machine are being fitted and dismantled, the motor must be disconnected from the power
supply. This can be done with a safety cutout interlock switch.
Before the motor is energised, a one-metre pipe must be at least provided on each side of the Granulator
for reasons of safety.
Starting and stopping:
The motor should be fitted with a lockable safety cut-out to enable the Granulator to be started and
stopped separately without stopping the unit with which it is connected.
Maintenance:
The manufacturer recommends the bearings and coupling carrier plate being renewed after max. 3200
hours’ operation.
It is also recommended to grind the rotor blades and fixed blades on the same occasion.

Adjustment of the fixed knife:
The knives are adjusted by the manufacturer. So this instruction shall only be used after repairs.
1) Check that the screws (pos. 3) are tightened.
2) The screws (pos. 2) are turned till “handtight”.
3) The screws (pos. 4) are tightend sufficiently so that the fixed knife (pos. 1) is just touching the
rotorblades. During tightening the rotor is turned manually and it must be checked that the
resistance against turning is equal for all rotorknives.
4) The screws (pos. 5) are tightend and the position of the knives is checked by feeding a thin piece of
paper down between the knives while the rotor is turned manually. It must be checked that each
rotorknife is cutting over its total length. The screws (pos. 2) are tightened and the check is
repeated. If the knives are not cutting evenly adjustment is made by means of screws (pos. 4 and
5).
5) The blower is turned off at the electric control unit and the Granulator is turned on. If the
Granulator is making noise the screws (pos. 4) are loosened and the screws (pos. 5) are tightened
until the noise stops. To avoid damaging the knives adjustment, while running, must be done with
extreme care and therefore the screws (pos. 2) must not be loosened.

Replacing spare parts:
When spare parts are being replaced, it is recommended they are replaced by the manufacturer.
If this is not possible, these instructions should be followed:
1) The motor should be disconnected from the power supply.
2) When parts are being replaced inside the Granulator, the motor and Granulator should be separated
(see page 5) and the coupling and coupling carrier plate taken out with the motor.
3) The locking ring is first removed. The bearing housing, rotor, and bearings can then be removed
altogether.
4) When new bearings are to be fitted, pressure should be applied to the inner race to get the bearings into
position on the rotor. The bearing housing is then mounted so that rotor, bearings, and housing form a
single unit.
5) The unit is carefully put in place so that the bearings are not overloaded. The locking ring is then fixed in
position.
6) The Granulator and motor can now be assembled after it has been first checked that the coupling and
coupling carrier plate are properly seated.
The fixed blades should be replaced from outside (see page 6).
1) The blade can be taken out by removing the cover plate, adjustment plate, and screw holding the blade
in place.
2) Important! When any part of the machine whatever has been replaced, the fixed blade should be
adjusted according to the relevant instructions.

The solenoid valve shall be connected with power 24-220V, 50Hz, so it only is open when the Granulator is
running.
The lubrication in the Granulator is adjusted by the needle valve on the Granulator, it shall be adjusted, so
there come one drop each 3 or 4 second for matrix waste and 8 or 9 second for trim waste.
The specification of the oil for the Granulator system: Silicone oil, SF 350 (Viscosity).

GR 140:
Der Granulator GR 140 wurde für das kontinuierliche Zerkleinern von Papier- und Kunststoff- randstreifen
entwickelt. Die Granulatoren können in neue und in bestehende Rohrsysteme eingebaut werden.
Standard:
Granulator GR 140 mit 0,75kW Motor, 3x400V, 50Hz.
Zubehör (optional):
Integrierter Frequenzumformer für 500 bis 4000 U per Min.
Schmiervorrichtung bei leimhaltigem Material.
Anschlussteile für den Einbau in Rohrsysteme.
Kennzeichnung des Granulators:
Granulator Typ GR 140, mit der Warennummer 100540.
Auf dem Granulator ist darüber hinaus die CE-Kennzeichnung angebracht, sowie Pfeile zur Angabe der Ro-
tations- und Durchlaufrichtung.

Aufstellung und Montage:
Bei der Montage der Rohre am Granulator ist eine Schraubschelle zu verwenden, so dass das Rohr nur mit
Hilfe eines Werkzeugs wieder abgenommen werden kann. Der Granulator kann durch die Rohre ohne jede
andere Stütze fest stehen, es ist jedoch eine Trägerplatte zu verwenden, wenn der Granulator z.B. unter
einem EDV-Boden liegt.
Bei der Montage und Demontage des Rohres und der Maschine darf kein Strom am Motor angeschlossen
sein.
Bevor an der Maschine der Strom eingeschaltet wird, muss aus Sicherheitsgründen mindestens ein Rohr
von einem Meter Länge an jeder Seite des Granulators angebracht sein.
Wartung:
Es wird vom Hersteller empfohlen, Lager und Kupplungsmitnehmer nach einer Betriebszeit von maximal
3200 Stunden zu erneuern. Die regelmässige Reinigung des Rotormessers sowie des Granulatorgehäuses
innen ist je nach Materialanwendung und Nutzungsgrad der Anlage 2-monatlich oder öfter vorzunehmen.
Ebenso wird empfohlen, die Rotormesser und das feste Messer gleich bei derselben Gelegenheit zu schlei-
fen.

Einstellung des festen Messers:
Der Granulator wird im Werk eingestellt. Gehen Sie nur dann nach dieser Anleitung vor, wenn die Messer
aus irgendeinem Grund, z.b. bei Reparaturen oder beim Schleifen, einen Versatz haben.
1) Kontrollieren Sie, dass die Schrauben (Pos.3) angezogen sind.
2) Die Schrauben (Pos.2) von Hand anziehen.
3) Die Schrauben (Pos.4) so anziehen, dass das feste Messer (Pos.1) leicht die Rotationsmesser berührt.
Während des Anziehens wird der Rotor von Hand gedreht, wobei zu beachten ist, dass der Widerstand
beim Drehen bei allen Rotationsmessern gleich ist.
4) Die Schrauben (Pos. 5) anziehen und Messerstellung kontrollieren indem ein dünnes Blatt Papier zwi-
schen die Messer geschoben wird, während der Rotor von Hand gedreht wird. Beachten, dass jedes Rotati-
onsmesser auf der ganzen Länge schneidet. Schrauben (Pos. 2) anziehen und die Kontrolle wiederholen.
Sollten die Messer nicht gleichmäßig schneiden, ist die exakte Einstellung mittels der Schrauben Pos. 4 und
5 vorzunehmen.
5) Im Schaltschrank das Gebläse aus- und den Granulator einschalten. Falls der Granulator Geräusche ver-
ursacht, Schrauben (Pos. 4) etwas lösen und Schrauben (Pos. 5) leicht anziehen, bis
das Geräusch verschwindet. Um Beschädigungen an den Messern zu vermeiden, muss die Einstellung bei
laufendem Motor äußerst vorsichtig stattfinden; die Schrauben (Pos. 2) dürfen dabei unter keinen Umstan-
den gelöst werden.

Austausch von Ersatzteilen:
Der Austausch von Ersatzteilen sollte durch den Hersteller erfolgen.
Ist dies nicht möglich, so gehen Sie nach den folgenden Anleitungen vor:
1) Trennen Sie den Motor von der Stromversorgung.
2.) Beim Austausch von Teilen innen im Granulator sind Motor und Granulator voneinander zu trennen,
siehe Seite 11, Kupplung und Kupplungsmitnehmer werden mit dem Motor abgenommen.
3.) Entfernen Sie zunächst den Sicherungsring; dann können Lagergehäuse, der Rotor und die Lager gleich-
zeitig herausgenommen werden.
4.) Zur Montage der neuen Lager muss Druck auf den Innenring ausgeübt werden, damit die Lager auf den
Rotor kommen. Dann wird das Lagergehäuse aufgesetzt, so dass Rotor, Lager und Gehäuse eine Einheit bil-
den.
5.) Setzen Sie diese Einheit vorsichtig auf ihren Platz, so dass die Lager nicht überlastet werden, und setzen
Sie den Sicherungsring wieder auf seine Position.
6.) Prüfen Sie jetzt, ob Kupplung und Kupplungsmitnehmer korrekt sitzen, und setzen Sie dann Granulator
und Motor wieder zusammen.
Der Austausch des festen Messers erfolgt von außen, siehe Seite 11.
1.) Entfernen Sie die Deckplatte, die Justierplatte und die Schraube, die das Messer hält, so dass das Messer
herausgenommen werden kann.
2.) Warnung! Nach dem Austausch eines jeden beliebigen Teiles der Maschine muss das feste Messer nach
der entsprechenden Anleitung justiert wird.

Das Magnetventil ist mit einem 24-220V, 50Hz Stromnetz angeschlossen, so ist es nur geöffnet, wenn die
Granulator ausgeführt wird.
Die Schmierung im Granulator eingestellt ist "vorsichtig" durch das Nadelventil am Granulator, wird es ein-
gestellt, so gibt es ein Drop jeden 8. oder 9. Sekunde, für Matrix Abfall ein Drop jeden 3. oder 4. Sekunde.
Die Spezifikation des Öls für die Schneidmühle Systemische:
Silikonöl, SF 350 (Viskosität).

complexes divers : par exemple des rives en provenance des machines de transformation et de découpe. Le

Spécifications techniques:
Mise en place et montage:
Pour fixer le tuyau sur le Granulateur, utiliser un collier de serrage avec vis de façon que le démontage ne
puisse pas se faire sans outillage. Le Granulateur tient en place exclusivement à l'aide de la tuyauterie et
d'une fixation du moteur ; cependant, lorsque le Granulateur est placé par exemple sous un plancher, il
convient d'utiliser une plaque d'appui.
Le moteur ne doit pas être sous tension lors de la mise en place ou du démontage de la tuyauterie.
Avant la mise sous tension du moteur, monter des tuyaux d'au moins un mètre de chaque côté du
Granulateur pour des raisons de sécurité.
Entretien:
Il est recommandé par le fabricant de remplacer les roulements et le taquet d’embrayage entre le moteur
et le rotor au maximum après 3 200 heures d'exploitation.
Il est également conseillé d'affûter les lames du rotor et la lame fixe par la même occasion.
Se reporter au « remplacement des pièces de rechange ».
