The external ear is closely reproduced. You can examine the external ear and the eardrum with an
otoscope in your possession or available on the market.
Two types of external ear with the normal eardrum are included. One is a beginner type and the
other is an advanced type.
8 kinds of cases are included in addition to the normal eardrum.
Their soft and supple material allows you to simulate a real examination, in ways such as pulling up
the pinna.
Simulated ear wax and small toys are included for training in the removal of foreign bodies. An Ear
without the eardrum is also included for this training.
The neck is flexible, which allows you to tilt and pose the head naturally, as in actual examination.
Ear Examination Simulator is designed to help you practice an examination of the external ear and
the eardrum with an otoscope. In addition, you can practice a removal of earwax.
Ear Examination Simulator will help you improve the skill of an examination.

Caution
・In order to simulate the patient, the head and ears of this model are made of soft material.
So please do not handle the head and ears roughly.
・Please do not insert the otoscope too deep, as this may cause damage to eardrum.
・Marks left by ball-point or felt-tip pen are usually impossible to remove. So please do not make
any marks unless you want to leave them permanently.
・For cleaning, wipe the mannequin with a soft cloth which has been moistened with water or
alcohol. After drying the mannequin, please dust the head with baby powder.

Practice
Choose an ear that has a case you plan to study. Insert
the ear into the opening as shown in the picture. Putting
powder on the opening makes insertion easier. To detach
the ear, please grasp gently around the base of the pinna
and pull straight out, perpendicularly to the head.
It is possible to tilt the head of the model as shown in the
picture.
When you train in the removal of foreign bodies from
the external ear, use ear No. 11.
After training, straighten the neck, and put Ear Examination Simulator back in the storage box.
