mit Kaufbeleg bei einem von uns autorisierten Fachhändler erworben wurde. Bei berechtigten
Reklamationen innerhalb von 2 Jahren nach Kaufdatum werden wir gegen Vorlage des ent-
sprechenden Kaufbelegs nach unserem Ermessen kostenlos nachbessern oder kostenlosen
Ersatz liefern. Sollten Nachbesserung oder Ersatzlieferung unmöglich sein, so räumen wir

2Das LGB-Mehrzugsystem
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Einstieg in das LGB-Mehrzug-
system! Während herkömmliche, analog betriebene Anlagen
aufwendige Verkabelungen benötigen und beim Betrieb mit
mehreren Zügen dennoch an starre "Blöcke” gebunden sind,
können Sie mit dem Mehrzugsystem Ihre Züge an jeder Stelle
der Anlage frei bedienen. Auch Lampen und Funktionen Ihrer
Loks können Sie einschalten, wann und wo Sie wollen, selbst
wenn die Lok steht.
Bisher war es oft so, daß ein Modellbahner die Anlage bediente
und alle anderen zusehen durften. Mit dem Mehrzugsystem
können alle mitspielen. Da jede Lok einzeln bedient wird, ist
es sinnvoll, jeder Lok auch einen Lokführer zuzuordnen.
So können Eltern und Kinder, Ehepartner, Nachbarn und
Freunde voll in die Modellbahn einbezogen werden! Bis zu
acht MZS-Fahrregler können angeschlossen werden, um die
Loks zu bedienen.
Selbstverständlich gibt es im LGB-Programm auch zahlreiche
fortgeschrittene MZS-Bauteile, um z. B. Weichen zu stellen
oder den Betrieb Ihrer Anlage zu automatisieren.

The LGB Multi-Train System
Thank you for choosing the LGB Multi-Train System. With the
Multi-Train System, you can operate multiple trains anywhere
on your layout. You can operate lights and functions of
your locos when and where you choose, even if the loco is
standing.
In the past, one model railroader often operated the railroad
while everybody else watched. With the Multi-Train System,
everybody can participate. Because each loco is controlled
independently, each loco can have its own engineer. Parents
and children, husbands and wives, neighbors and friends can
join the fun with LGB. You can connect up to eight throttles
to control the locos.
In addition, the LGB program features many advanced MTS
components, for example, to set track switches or to run your
trains automatically.
This set contains all you need to get started with the LGB
Multi-Train System: Plug and play!

Félicitations pour votre choix éclairé : le système multitrain de
LGB. Les réseaux analogiques conventionnels comportent des
câblages compliqués, mais, de plus, plusieurs trains fonc-
tionnant simultanément restent confinés à des «parties de
réseau». Cette restriction est levée grâce au système multitrain,
vous pouvez maintenant utiliser plusieurs trains n’importe où
sur le réseau. Vous pouvez même faire fonctionner l’éclairage
et activer/désactiver les fonctions des locomotives où et quand
vous le décidez, même lorsque la locomotive est à l’arrêt.
Traditionnellement, le propriétaire du réseau fait fonctionner
les trains et les autres regardent. Avec le système multitrain,
tout le monde peut participer. Étant donné que chaque loco-
motive est commandée individuellement, il est logique de
désigner un conducteur pour cette locomotive. Tout le monde
peut en profiter, parents et enfants, maris et femmes, voisins
et amis. Vous pouvez raccorder jusqu’à huit commandes pour
contrôler les locomotives.
De plus, le programme LGB propose plusieurs accessoires à
la fine pointe de la technologie pour manoeuvrer les aiguillages
ou pour automatiser la gestion du réseau.

Quick Start
Hint: The "Quick Start” only describes the most important
functions of the Multi-Train System. Please also read the
detailed instructions in this booklet.
Connect the tracks.
Insert the track clips. Make sure the number on the clip
faces down.
Connect the tracks to the Central Station. Connect the red
and blue terminals on the Central Station with the tracks using
the included track power cable. Push the terminals on the
Central inward and insert the cable into the hole. Release the
terminal.
Bedienung - Schnellstart Operation - Quick Start
Schnellstart
Hinweis: Im „Schnellstart“ werden nur die wichtigsten
Funktionen des Mehrzugsytems beschrieben. Lesen Sie bitte
auch die ausführlichen Anleitungen in diesem Heft.
Gleise miteinander verbinden.
Gleise mit den Gleisklammern befestigen. Darauf achten,
daß die Zahl auf der Klammer nach unten zeigt.
Zentrale an die Gleise anschließen. Rote und blaue
Klemmen der Zentrale mit den Gleisen verbinden
(Gleisanschlußkabel liegt bei). Klemme an der Zentrale nach
innen drücken, Kabel in das Loch schieben, loslassen.
Gleisanschlußklemmen an den Schienen befestigen.

Raccorder les rails
Insérer les éclisses d’assemblage. Assurez-vous que
le numéro sur l’éclisse se trouve vers le sol.
Raccorder les voies au poste central. Connecter les
bornes bleue et rouge du poste central aux voies par le câble
d’alimentation de voies fourni. Appuyer sur la borne et insérer
le câble dans l’orifice. Relâcher la borne.

Zentrale an den Trafo anschließen. Schwarze und weiße
Klemmen der Zentrale mit Ausgang 3 und 4 des Trafos verbinden
(Kabel liegt bei). Auf den Knopf an der Klemme des Trafos
drücken, Kabel einschieben, loslassen.
Lok-Handy an die Zentrale anschließen. Kabel des Lok-
Handys in eine der mit "LGB-Bus” markierten Buchsen der
Zentrale stecken.
Netzstecker des Trafos in eine Steckdose stecken.
VORSICHT! Der Trafo darf nur in trockenen Räumen verwendet
werden!

Connect the Central Station to the transformer. Connect
the black and white terminals on the Central Station with
terminals 3 and 4 of the transformer using the included cable.
Press the button on the transformer terminal, push the cable
in the hole, release the button.
Connect the Loco Remote to the Central Station. Connect
the cable from the Loco Remote to one of the sockets on the
Central Station marked "LGB-Bus.”
Plug the transformer into a house current outlet.
CAUTION! The transformer is for indoor use only. Keep it away
from moisture.
Raccorder le poste central au transformateur. Connecter
les bornes noire et blanche du poste central aux bornes 3 et 4
du transformateur par le câble de raccordement fourni.
Appuyer sur le bouton de la borne du transformateur, insérer
le câble dans l’orifice, puis relâcher le bouton.
Raccorder la télécommande pour locomotive au poste
central. Enficher le câble de la télécommande pour locomotive
dans l’une des prises du poste central identifiées «LGB Bus».
Brancher le transformateur dans une prise de courant
dans la maison.
ATTENTION ! Le transformateur ne doit être utilisé qu’à
l’intérieur. Protéger le transformateur de l’humidité.

Züge auf das Gleis stellen. Wagen und Loks gegeneinander
schieben, bis die Kupplungen einrasten.
Eine Lok vom Lok-Handy aus anwählen:
- LED-Display zeigt zuletzt gewählte Lokadresse an: „L xx“
(xx = Lokadresse)
- Taste "0” drücken. Anzeige „L --“ erscheint.
- Lokadresse zweistellig eingeben (02 für Dampflok, 04 für
Diesellok). Neue Lokadresse „L xx“ wird angezeigt.
Jetzt können Sie losfahren! Drehen Sie den Regelknopf
nach rechts, um die Lok vorwärts fahren zu lassen, nach links,
um sie rückwärts fahren zu lassen.
Hinweise:
- Lok, Wagen und Gleise in diesem Set sind wetterfest und
können im Freien eingesetzt werden.
- Wenn die Loks zusammenzustoßen drohen, die "STOP”-Taste
drücken (siehe Nothalt unter BEDIENUNG DER MZS-ZENTRALE).

Put the trains on the track. Push the locos and cars
together to couple them.
Select a loco with the Loco Remote:
- LED display shows the last selected loco address: "L xx”
(xx = loco address)
- Press the "0” button. Display shows "L --”
- Input two-digit loco address (02 for steam loco, 04 for
diesel loco). New loco address will be displayed "L xx.”
Have fun! Turn the control knob on the Loco Remote to
the right to move the train forward and to the left to move it
backward.
Hints:
- The locomotive, cars and track in this set are weather-
resistant and can be used outdoors.
- If two locos are about to collide, press the "STOP” button
(see Emergency Stop in the chapter Operation - MTS
Central Station).

Sélectionner une locomotive avec la télécommande
pour locomotive :
- La DEL indique l’adresse de la dernière locomotive
sélectionnée : «L xx» (xx = adresse de la locomotive)
- Appuyer sur le bouton «0». L’afficheur indique «L --»
- Entrer l’adresse à deux chiffres (02 pour la locomotive
à vapeur, 04 pour la locomotive diesel). L’adresse
sélectionnée sera affichée «L xx».
Amusez-vous bien ! Tourner le bouton de commande
sur la télécommande pour locomotive vers la droite pour
déplacer le train vers l’avant ou vers la gauche pour le
déplacer vers l’arrière.
Conseils :
La locomotive, les wagons et les rails de ce coffret résistent
aux intempéries et peuvent donc être utilisés à l’extérieur.
Appuyer sur le bouton «STOP» en cas de collision imminente
entre deux locomotives (se reporter à Arrêt d’urgence au
chapitre – Fonctionnement – Poste central SMT).

However, they can run on conventional analog layouts without
modifications.

Operating Modes
Each loco has a three-way power control switch mounted in
the cab (Fig. 10, 11, 12):
Hint: With the Multi-Train System, you can control all functions
of your loco from your remote. The power control switch
should always remain in Position 2.
Position 0: All power off
Position 1: Power to motor and lights (and smoke generator for
steam loco)
Position 2: (factory-pre-set): Steam loco – same as Position 1
Diesel loco – Power to motor, lights and flashing lights

sollte dabei immer in Position 2 bleiben.
Position 0: Stromlos abgestellt

Les locomotives de ce coffret sont équipées de décodeurs
SMT, elles peuvent toutefois être utilisées sur les réseaux
analogiques conventionnels sans modification.

Modes opératoires
Chaque locomotive est équipée d’un sélecteur d’alimentation
à trois positions situé dans la cabine (figures 10, 11, 12) :
Conseil : Le système multitrain permet de commander toutes
les fonctions de la locomotive à partir de la télécommande.
Le sélecteur d’alimentation doit toujours rester à la position 2.
Position 0 : Alimentation coupée
Position 1 : Alimentation du moteur et de l’éclairage (ainsi
que du générateur de fumée pour la locomotive
à vapeur)
Position 2 (position d’origine usine):
locomotive à vapeur – identique à la position 1

Back-EMF
When operating with the Multi-Train System, the loco features
a “Back-EMF” function. This keeps the motor speed constant
(and under normal conditions the loco speed), even when the
load of the loco changes, for example, in curves or on grades.
This feature does not work at top speed, because additional
voltage must be available to overcome any added load.
Lastnachregelung
Beim Betrieb mit dem Mehrzugsystem verfügt die Lok über
eine Lastnachregelung: Die Motordrehzahl (und damit unter
normalen Bedingungen die Geschwindigkeit) wird konstant
gehalten, auch wenn sich die Belastung der Lok ändert,
z. B. in Kurven oder auf Steigungen. Die Lastnachregelung
funktioniert nicht bei Höchstgeschwindigkeit, da dann keine
Spannungsreserve zur Verfügung steht.
