ALL LOCKS ARE SHIPPED FROM THE FACTORY IN PRE-SETUP MODE, WITH NO
FEATURES INSTALLED.
• Lock will open when 1 is pressed.
EXIT PRE-SETUP (Perform all Administrative Functions with the door open)
1. Press and hold the “0” key until unit double signals.
2. Enter the default Manager Combination, 5-5-5-5-5-5.
• Unit will signal twice and lock will open.
LOCK IS NOW IN SETUP AND TEST MODE.

SET COMBINATION LENGTH
1. Enter default Manager Combination (5-5-5-5-5-5) and hold down last digit of combination until
unit double signals twice and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 8. Unit signals twice.
3. Select combination length (6, 7, 8, or 9). Unit signals once.
4. Press 0. Unit signals twice.
5. Enter combination length a second time and press 0 to confirm.
6. Enter default Manager Combination (all fives to length of combination), unit will signal twice and
lock will open.
NOTE: If combination length is changed after Users are enrolled, all Users will be deleted and must
be re-enrolled.
ACTIVATING USERS
1. Enter Default Manager Combination (all fives to length of combination) and hold down last digit of
combination until unit double signals twice and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 1. Unit signals twice.
3. Select User ID, 1 to 9. Unit signals twice.
4. Enter New User Combination; re-enter New User Combination to confirm.
5. If a mistake is made, wait thirty (30) seconds and repeat steps 1 - 4.
6. Repeat above step for each User.
• Valid Combination Entry - Double signal after valid combination is entered.
• Invalid Combination Entry - Triple signal and old combination is still valid.
NOTE: If a User is not enrolled during setup, the User is blocked and can not be added later. New
combinations are rejected when less than 2 digits are different from existing combinations.
SET LOCK FEATURES (via Keypad)
1. Enter default Manager Combination (All fives to length of combination) and hold down last digit of
combination until unit double signals twice and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 8. Unit signals twice.
3. Enter “0” (this maintains current combination length value). Unit signals once.
4. Enter desired lock operation mode from chart below. Unit signals twice.
5. Enter “0” and desired lock operation mode from chart below again to confirm.
NOTE: Dual combination cannot be selected if additional User has not been enrolled. User 9 can be
enabled to override Time Delay.

EXITING LOCK CONFIGURATION
NOTE: Once the manager changes his or her combination, the configuration will be frozen (Special
Function #8 is no longer available). Un-enrolled Users are blocked, and can no longer be installed.
1. Enter default Manager Combination (All fives to length of combination) and hold down last digit of
combination until unit double signals twice
and the LED stays on.

2. Press the “0” key.
3. Enter your NEW Manager Combination; re-
enter new combination to confirm.
4. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds
and repeat steps 1 - 3.
5. Test unit operation several times before
closing the door.
OPERATIONAL MODE
OPENING THE LOCK (Manager or User)
1. Enter valid Manager or User combination.
2. The unit will indicate a valid combination entry
with a double signal.
3. Within four (4) seconds open lock by either
rotating the keypad to open position
(clockwise) or turning the handle to the
open position.
4. Pull door open.
• Invalid Combination Entry - Unit will signal
three (3) times.
5. Close the door, and check the locked
status of the container with the handle of
the boltworks.
CHANGING COMBINATION (Manager or User)
Always perform this operation with the
door open!
Each combination must be changed
independently.
1. Enter existing combination and hold down the
last digit until unit double signals twice and
the LED stays on.
2. Press the “0” key.
3. Enter your NEW combination, then re-enter
NEW combination to confirm.
4. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds
and repeat steps 1 - 3.
5. Test unit operation several times before
closing the door.
• Valid Combination Entry - Double signal
after valid combination is entered.
• Invalid Combination Entry - Triple signal
and old combination is still valid.
ACTIVATING/REINSTATING USER
(Manager Only)
1. Enter Manager combination and hold down
last digit of combination until unit double
signals twice and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 1. Unit signals twice.
3. Press User number, 1 to 9. Unit signals twice.
4. Enter NEW combination, then re-enter NEW
combination to confirm.
5. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds
and repeat steps 1 - 4.
• Valid Combination Entry - Double
signal after valid combination is entered.
• Invalid Combination Entry - Triple
signal and old combination is still valid.
DISABLE USER (Manager Only)
1. Enter Manager combination and hold down
last digit of combination until unit double
signals twice and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 2. Unit signals twice.
3. Press User number, 1 to 9. Unit signals once.
4. User is temporarily disabled.
5. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds
and repeat steps 1 - 3.
DELETE USER (Manager Only)
1. Enter Manager combination and hold down
last digit of combination until unit double
signals twice and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 3. Unit signals twice.
3. Press User number, 1 to 9. Unit signals once.
4. User is deleted.
5. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds
and repeat steps 1 - 3.
SET/CHANGE TIME DELAY VALUES
1. Enter Manager combination and hold down
last digit of combination until unit double
signals and the LED stays on.
2. PRESS 9. Unit signals twice.
3. Enter two-digit Delay period value (00 to 99
minutes) followed by the two-digit Open
period value (00 to 19 minutes).
• Unit will signal twice, if accepted.
• Unit will signal three times, if invalid.
4. Re-enter the Delay and Open period values,
to confirm.
• Unit will signal twice and feature is active.
NOTE: Entering 0000 will deactivate the Time
Delay Feature.
NOTE: If Time Delay is active it may only be
deactivated or delay value decreased in Open
Period.
TIME DELAY – LOCK RESPONSE
• During the Delay Period the LED will flash
every second.
• During the Open Period the LED will flash
twice a second, and the Entry Device will
beep every 10 seconds.
TIME DELAY OVERRIDE (If feature is enabled)
• Must add User 9. (See ADD USER)
- If User 9 is disabled or deleted, this
feature will no longer function.
• Entry of Override combination during Delay
period will open the lock.
NOTE: If Time Delay is enabled, User 9 can only
be added during the Open period.
RECEIVE AUDIT (Manager Only)
This function requires Serial Interface (P/N
43087) and LGVIEWER Software
1. Plug Interface into PC and open LGView 3X
software on PC.
2. Connect Interface to front of keypad and click
safe icon button on the PC software to
begin acquisition.

CHANGING YOUR BATTERY
1. Open safe door.
2. Remove battery box cover by pulling the front
portion away from the safe door.
3. The connector is easily removed by
unsnapping it from the two terminals on the
top of the battery.
Never Pull on the Battery Leads
4. Connect a new 9-Volt Alkaline battery to the
battery clip.
5. Push the battery and the leads completely up
into the battery compartment.
6. Replace the cover and test the unit several
times before closing the door
CHANGING YOUR BATTERY
1. Open safe door.
2. Remove battery box cover by pulling the front
portion away from the safe door.
3. Remove six “C” cell Alkaline batteries.
4. Insert six new “C” cell batteries.
5. Replace the cover and test the unit several
times before closing the door.

4. PRESS 7. Unit signals once and Audit will
be sent.
5. Disconnect Interface Cable from PC
and keypad.
DUAL MODE OPERATION
1. Additional User(s) must be active to use this
function. (See ACTIVATING USER.)
2. If Time Delay is active, one valid combination
will start Delay period.
• Both combinations required to open
lock in Open period.
NOTE: In Dual Mode a valid user combination
must be entered before the Manager
Combination in order to use Manager Functions
1, 2, and 3.
TIME DELAY OVERRIDE (User #9)
• This feature must be enabled during
Lock Setup.
• If User 9 is disabled or deleted this feature
will no longer function.
Entry of Override combination during Delay
period will open the lock.
SILENT DURESS ALARM (If feature is enabled
AND optional Alarm Box is connected to an
alarm system.)
• Enter last digit of combination one number
higher or one number lower.
Example: Combination: 1-2-3-4-5-6
Duress: 1-2-3-4-5-5 or 1-2-3-4-5-7
• The lock will open without any indication that
the duress signal has been sent.
DISABLE OPENING (Feature is active by
default. Alarm Box must be connected.)
External signal to the alarm box will disable the
lock opening by a valid combination. Lock
indicates disabled by signaling 6 times once the
combination is entered.
• If in time delay, the lock will not open
during the open period.
WRONG TRY PENALTY
• Entry of four (4) consecutive invalid
combinations starts a 5-minute delay period.
LED flashes red at ten (10) second intervals.
• At the end of the delay period, two more
consecutive invalid combinations will restart
an additional 5-minute delay period.
During delay period a single keystroke will
respond with three signals.
BATTERY LOW WARNING
• Repeated LED flashing beeping after an
opening indicates that the battery is low and
needs immediate replacement. It is
recommended that batteries be replaced at
least once a year.
• Uses alkaline battery only. (Example:
Duracell™ or Eveready™ alkaline batteries.)
• When the battery level becomes too low to
safely operate the lock any key press will give
a low battery warning, and the battery
must be changed before the lock will operate.
If battery is depleted and will not allow lock
to open, follow instructions found in the User
Instructions for your keypad. Lock contains
a non-volatile memory; even with batteries
removed the lock will retain all programming.
