By following these instructions you will be able to install your LP-288AI in Client Mode.

Please check package contents shown in gure 1.

Please prepare the cable with the connector as shown in gure 2a, 2b and 2c.

Connect the cable as shown in gure 3.
3Connect the To ODU output of the PoE injector to your
LP-288AI as shown in gure 4.

Connect one of your PC’s or Switch’s Ethernet ports to the To Ethernet input of the PoE injector of the LP-288ai
as shown on gure 5.

By following these instructions you will be able to install your LP-288AI in Client Mode.

Go to the Properties window of your Network Interface
card(NIC): Local Area Connection Properties and
select: Internet Protocol, then select: Properties
as shown in gure 7.

In the window: Internet protocol (TCP/IP)
Properties of gure 8, select: Use the following
IP address and input an IP address in the default
IP range of the LP-288ai, in this example we have
selected address: 192.168.1.201. The LP-288ai has
a default adress of: 192.168.1.2, input in: Subnet
mask: 255.255.255.0 and in: Default gateway the
destination router address, in: DNS you will have
to input your ISP’s DNS or the destination router
address, the one that provides the Internet service,
in order that any queries are routed to the destination
network`s router.
Once nished, please select: OK and then: Close

Connect the DC Power to the PoE’s Injector Male Jack

It is important to mention that in this conguration of the LP-288ai, it will be a client of the destination network. In
gure 11 you can see the actual conguration used as a reference.

In this diagram, the destination network is yellow colored. In it, you have a router that provides Internet service
connection and has the delivery of addresses enabled in the 192.168.1.x segment, and number of reserved addresses
in the scope. The Router will deliver addresses from the 100th to the 200th only, and it provides the Internet
connection. The LP-288ai has the default address 192.168.1.3. in the blue colored network segment .
Open the browser application of your choice and input
the default address: 192.168.1.2, please see gure
10.

The LP-288ai will ask that you input a User and a
Password. The LP-288ai has two user levels, one with
all the privileges named by default: super , whose
password is: super and another with less privileges
named: admin with a password: admin. Now please
input as user: super and a password: super and hit:
OK , as shown in conguration in gure 11.

In this example, in the window shown in gure 12,
please select: IP Conguration and change the IP
address to 192.168.1.3

Please select : Update in the window shown in gure 13 in order to save the changes.

The equipment will indicate you to wait the completion
of the rebooting and application of the changes in the
window shown in gure 15.

Please open the browser of your preference and
navigate to the new address: 192.168.1.3 as shown in
the window of gure 16.

Once changes are saved, select : Reboot in the same window of gure 14.

In the window shown in gure 18, select: Operation
Mode, then select: Client, input now the SSID of
the destination network, in this example of the LP-
288ai, in: Radio Frequency input th channel of the
destination AP. If you don’t know it, please select:
SmartSelect, disable option: WDS, you could use it
if other equipment support it, as an example two LP-
288ai, select: Update to save the changes.

The equipment will save the changes, but they will
not take effect until you reboot it. In order to do it,
please select: Reboot, it is important to mention that
you can congure the equipment in a way that it only
connects to the destination AP, by using the Remote
MAC, we recommend you read the 123 Manual on how
to set the LP-288ai in Point to Point mode, (document:
LP288AI_M123_SPD01w.pdf).

setting , and in: Security mode, select the encryption
mode, remember to select the same mode used by the
destination AP.

Select the type of cyphering and the encryption
mode of your destination AP, yo will have to input
the corresponding encryption phrase and then select:
Update as shown in gure 23.

Once changes have been saved, please select: Reboot
in the window shown in gure 24 for the changes to
take effect. As shown in gure 24.

Proceed to change the User password: admin and
the super user password: super of your equipment,
please see gure 27.
In order to change the User: admin, password, select:
administration input the new password in the eld
named: password, then select: Update.

you are authenticated as admin, input the value you
changed and select: OK, then select: click here. in
the window shown in gure 30.

Procceed to change the password of the user: super,
in order to be able to make this change you must be
authenticated as super user, now select option: super
user and input a new password, then select : update
