1 Introduction
1.1 Intended use
The battery replacement kit is intended only for those Neat products that allow bat-
tery replacement. Please contact your sales oce for further information.
1.2 This handbook
Information notes and warnings intended for maintenance personnel and/or users
are emphasized in these instructions by the pictograms dened here.
The Information sign and corresponding text is intended for information which might
be useful, but not critical for the reader and/or user.
The Warning triangle sign and corresponding text is intended for critical information
to which the user and/or reader should pay special attention.
In the running text certain text is highlighted to emphasize terms etc.

This product contains a lithium battery, swallowing battery may result in serious inju-
ry or death. Keep battery away from children.
NEAT Electronics is not liable for any issues as a result of incorrectly performed bat-
tery replacement.

2 Hardware
2.1 General
The battery replacement kit contains a Lithium CR2430 battery, a top shell (color
depending on product) and an O-ring.
Other parts pictured in this manual are bottom shell and over molded PCB.
Pictured in this manual is a neutral colored top shell and bottom shell, not an actual
product.
3 Remove battery instruction
3.1 Remove top shell
Push the loops outwards with the thumbs until the bottom pops out.
Discard the top shell.
The top shell must not be reused.
3.2 Open bottom part
There is a heel protruding on 2 sides from the circuit board. Use ngernail or a small
flathead screwdriver gently on this heel to remove the circuit board from the bottom
shell. Be careful not to damage the circuit board.
Do not discard the bottom shell!

3.3 Remove the battery
Remove the battery. Dispose of the battery according to the local instructions for
recycling, see section “Eliminación”.
3.4 Remove the O-ring
Use a thin flathead screwdriver to remove the O-ring. Be careful not to damage the
O-ring groove.
Discard the O-ring!

4 Unit assembly with new battery
4.1 Insert new battery
Put the new battery in the battery holder. Check the battery polarity and position the
battery accordingly.
Make sure that the positive polarity of the battery is mounted upwards.
4.2 Mount new O-ring
Place the new O-ring in the groove. Make sure it is not twisted.
Put a thin screwdriver or a similar tool between the O-ring and the groove of the cir-
cuit board edge. Slide it along the edge to position the O-ring in the groove.

4.3 PCB and bottom shell assembly
Place the circuit board into the bottom shell as pictured. Use position of data matrix
label as reference for how to turn the circuit board.
Make sure that the transmitter and circuit board are rotated as shown in the picture.
Finally push downwards on both sides.

4.4 Top shell assembly
Assemble the Bottom shell with the circuit board in a new Top shell by rst placing
one of the edges with the snaps in the top shell
Press them together until they snap into position on both sides.

• Do not warm up the device or use it near re.
• For repairs, contact a NEAT dealer.
5.2 Cleaning
• Clean the device with a so cloth, dampened slightly with mild soapy water.
• Do not clean the device with harsh chemicals, solvents or other corrosive sub-
stances.
5.3 Disposal
At the end of the product’s use life, please dispose of it at appropriate collection
points provided in your country. For disposal or recycling information, please contact
your local authorities or the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA, www.eiae.org).
In the European Union, this label indicates that this product should not be disposed
of with household waste. It should be deposited at an appropriate facility to enable
recovery and recycling or returned to NEAT Electronics AB.
