Le XFS-1816P peut être monté sur un montant 19'' ou sur tablette ou utilisé comme switch de bureau.
Installez le XFS-1816P dans un endroit stable et abrité pour éviter tout dommage éventuel.
Evitez l'exposition à la lumière directe du soleil.
Ne placez pas d'objet lourd sur le XFS-1816P et vériez que le raccordement de terre de la prise fonctionne correctement.
Installation sur bureau/tablette
Pour une installation sur bureau/tablette, xez les quatre pieds en caoutchouc dans les angles échancrés en bas
du XFS-1816P, puis placez le switch à l'horizontale sur une surface solide et plane.
Installation sur montants 19"
Utilisez les équerres fournies pour faciliter l'installation dans une baie/coret 19".
Comme illustré ci-dessous, utilisez quatre vis pour xer les équerres des deux côtés du XFS-1816P et xez le switch
dans les montants. Utilisez le matériel de votre choix pour xer les supports du switch sur un montant.

Raccordements Ethernet et alimentation
Utilisez un connecteur type RJ 45 pour raccorder le XFS-1816P à un appareil Ethernet (serveurs, routeurs ou d'autres
switches).
Le XFS-1816P prend en charge une liaison Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, 10/100 Mbit/s en mode half/full-duplex
et 1000 Mbit/s en mode full-duplex. Les 18 ports RJ 45 sont Auto MDI/MDIX et peuvent être utilisés comme ports
ordinaires ou comme ports uplink. Les ports 1-16 sont de type PoE+ et sont activés par défaut.
Utilisez le câble d'alimentation fourni pour raccorder le XFS-1816P à une prise protégée contre les surtensions.
Le connecteur d'alimentation se situe à l'arrière du switch avec l'interrupteur. L'alimentation intégrée supporte
100~240 Vac à 50/60Hz.
Cablâge du réseau
Si vous prévoyez d’utiliser un lien fibre optique pour la connection au réseau, un module fibre optique SFP est
nécessaire (non inclus).
ATTENTION : La présence de certains canaux uplink peut créer des boucles entraînant la
défaillance du réseau. Assurez-vous qu'un seul canal uplink existe entre les switches
ou entre le XFS- 1816P et un routeur.
REMARQUE : A la mise sous tension, les LEDs des ports correspondant à l'interface optique peuvent
mettre un certain temps à s'initialiser.
Ceci est normal dans le cadre de l'initialisation et du démarrage du XFS-1816P.
REMARQUE : Pour une performance optimale du switch, ne pas dépasser une consommation totale
de 230 W pour les appareils PoE externes.

Addressage IP
Si le XFS-1816P doit être installé sur un réseau avec une adresse de type 192.168.0.X et que votre ordinateur par-
tage une adresse similaire sur le même réseau, vous pouvez passer à l'étape suivante, "Accès et configuration".
Si votre réseau utilise un schéma d'adressage autre que 192.168.0.X, vous devez créer une adresse IP statique tem-
poraire sur l'ordinateur que vous utilisez pour la conguration. Pour cela, congurez l'adresse IP de votre ordinateur
sur une adresse dans la plage 192.168.0.X, puis configurez l’adresse de la passerelle/du routeur sur 192.168.0.4
(l'adresse IP par défaut du XFS-1816P).
Une fois la conguration du switch terminée, vous pouvez rétablir à la normale la conguration IP de votre ordinateur
via le menu "Obtenir automatiquement/DHCP".
Raccordement
Utilisez un cordon Ethernet pour raccorder votre ordinateur au XFS-1816P, puis allumez le switch.
La face avant du switch XFS-1816P comprend 16 ports 10/100/1000 Mbit/s RJ45 PoE+, 2 ports uplink Gigabit et un
port SFP couplé avec le port uplink 1. La face avant intègre également un ensemble d'indicateurs d'état à LED.
Indicateurs d'état
Chacun des 16 ports PoE+ dispose d'une LED correspondante pour indiquer l'activité de la liaison (Link/Act) et pour
le PoE. Il y a également 2 LEDs uplink, une LED alimentation, une LED System, une LED PoE max. et un bouton de
réinitialisation mode/reset pour redémarrer l'appareil ou restaurer les réglages par défaut. Le tableau suivant décrit la
fonctionnalité des LEDs :
Connexion
Pour accéder à la conguration Web du XFS-1816P, ouvrez votre navigateur Web et saisissez l'adresse IP par défaut
du switch 192.168.0.4 dans le champs d'adresse. Connectez-vous au switch à l'aide de l'identiant et du mot de passe
par défaut : IP par défaut : 192.168.0.4
Identiant : admin
Mot de passe : admin
Sélectionnez les éléments de menu de gauche pour acher et/ou modier la conguration.

ATTENTION : Si un autre appareil sur votre réseau partage l'adresse 192.168.0.4, vous devez réaffec-
ter ou retirer temporairement cet appareil pendant la configuration de XFS-1816P.
ATTENTION : Ce produit doit être configuré par un administrateur réseau confirmé.
REMARQUE : Pour plus d'information, vous reportez au document "Aide d'accès à la configuration"

Bouton de réinitialisation mode/reset
Le bouton de réinitialisation (situé au coin inférieur droit de la face avant) sert à réinitialiser (ou redémarrer) le switch
ou à restaurer ses réglages par défaut.
Pour réinitialiser le switch :
Avec le XFS-1816P sous tension, appuyez sur le bouton de réinitialisation mode/reset pendant environ 3 secondes
jusqu'à ce que les 2 LEDs Link/Act et POE s'allument, puid relâchez le bouton.

Allumé Le XFS-1816P est en train de démarrer.
Clignotant Le XFS-1816P fonctionne normalement.
Eteint Le XFS-1816P est en cours de démarrage et d'initiali-
sation ou n'est pas allumé.
PoE Max Allumé Les appareils PoE connectés dépassent la puissance
de sortie nominale PoE du switch.
Eteint L'alimentation PoE fonctionne dans les limites.
Link/Act
Allumé Un appareil est raccordé au port.
Clignotant Le port reçoit ou transmet des données.
Eteint Aucun appareil n'est raccordé au port.
PoE
Allumé Un appareil PoE est raccordé et le switch alimente
l'appareil.
Eteint Aucun appareil PoE n'est raccordé ou le PoE n'est
pas activé sur ce port.
Remarque : au démarrage, les LEDs des ports clignotent pour auto-test.
ATTENTION : Ne maintenez pas le bouton enfoncé plus d'une seconde. Cela risque d'effacer tous les
réglages et de restaurer les réglages par défaut.

The XFS-1816P can be rack-mounted or used as a desktop switch.
Install the XFS-1816P in a stable/safe place to avoid any possible damage. Avoid placement in direct sunlight.
Do not place heavy articles on the XFS-1816P and verify the ground connection of the outlet is functioning properly
Desktop/Shelf Installation
For desktop/shelf installation, attach the four rubber feet to the corner indentations on the bottom of the
XFS-1816P, then place the switch horizontally on a solid, level platform.
Rack Installation
Use the included L-brackets for convenient installation in a 19-inch server or audio rack. As shown below, use four
screws to attach the rack ears on both sides of the XFS-1816P, and x the switch into the rack.

Ethernet and Power Connections
Use any RJ 45 to connect the XFS-1816P to an Ethernet-enabled device,
including servers, routers or other switches. No crossover cable is necessary.
The XFS-1816P supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet; 10/100 Mbps half/full-duplex mode and 1000 Mbps full-duplex
mode. All eighteen RJ 45 ports support Auto MDI/MDIX and can be used as ordinary ports or as Uplink ports. Ports
1-16 are PoE+ and are enabled by default.
Use the included power cable to connect the XFS-1816P to a surge protected outlet. The AC input socket and a power
switch are on the rear panel. The built-in power supply supports 100~240Vac at 50/60Hz.
Network Cabling
If you plan to use a ber optic link for the network connection, an optical ber module is required (not included).
CAUTION: Multiple Uplink channels can create loops, resulting in network failure. Ensure only one
Uplink channel exists between switches or between the XFS-1816P and a router.
NOTE: When powering up, the port LEDs corresponding to the optical interface may take a moment
to initialize.
This is normal as the XFS-1816P initialization and startup completes.
NOTE: For optimal switch performance, do not exceed 230W combined consumption of all external
PoE devices.

IP Addressing
If the XFS-1816P is connected to a network with a 192.168.0.X address scheme, and your computer shares a similar
address on the same network, you can skip to the next step, "Access and Setup".
If your network uses an address scheme other than 192.168.0.X, you’ll need to set a temporary static IP address
on the computer you’re using for conguration. To do so, set the IP address of your computer to an address in the
192.168.0.X range, then set the Gateway/Router address to 192.168.0.4 (the default IP address of the XFS-1816P).
Once you’re nished conguring the switch, you can return your computer’s IP conguration to normal, typically
“Obtain Automatically/DHCP".
Getting Connected
Use an Ethernet cord to connect your computer to the XFS-1816P, then power on the switch.
The front panel of the XFS-1816P switch includes sixteen 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ 45 PoE+ ports, two Gigabit Uplink
ports, and one SFP port shared with Uplink port 1. The front panel also features a set of LED status indicators.
Status Indicators
Each of the 16 PoE+ ports has a corresponding LED for Link/Act and PoE. There are also two uplink LEDs, one Power
LED, one System LED, a PoE Max LED and a reset button to reboot the device or restore factory default settings. The
following table describes the LED functionality:
Logging In
To access the XFS-1816P web conguration, open your web browser and enter the switch’s default 192.168.0.4 IP
address in the address eld. Log in to the switch using the default user name and password:
Default IP: 192.168.0.4
Username: admin
Password: admin
Select the menu items on the left to view and/or modify the conguration.

CAUTION: If another device on your network shares the 192.168.0.4 address, you’ll need to temporar-
ily reassign or remove that device while you congure the XFS-1816P.
NOTE: For more information, please refer to the "help configuring Access" (E-Catalogue Legrand).

Reset Button
The Reset button (located at the lower-right corner of the front panel) is used to reset (or reboot) the switch, or to
restore the switch factory default settings.
To Reset the Switch:
With the XMS-1816P powered on, press and hold the Reset button approximately eight seconds, until both the
Link/Act and PoE LEDs turn o, then release the Reset button and the switch automatically restores factory default
settings and reboots. Once the System LED starts ashing again, the XMS-1816P is running with factory defaults.
Indicator State Description
POWER
On The XFS-1816P is switched on.
O
XFS-1816P is switched o or not connected to AC
power. Check power connections and power switch
at the back of the unit.
SYSTEM
On The XFS-1816P is booting.
Flashing The XFS-1816P is running normally.
O The XFS-1816P is in startup and initialization process
or is not on.
PoE Max On Connected PoE devices are exceeding the rated PoE
power output of the switch.
O PoE power functioning within limits.
Link/Act
On There is a device connected to the port.
Flashing Port is receiving or transmitting data.
O No device is connected to the port.
PoE
On A PoE-enabled device is connected and the switch is
supplying power to the device.
O No PoE-enabled device is connected or PoE is not
enabled on this port.
Note: At startup, port LEDs will ash as a self test.
CAUTION: Do not hold the button for more than a second. Doing so could erase all settings and
restore factory defaults.
