PARTS NAMES
The air conditioner consists of the indoor unit, the outdoor unit, the connecting pipe and the
remote controller.
NOTICE!
The chart is based on modell 24 type. So, a little differences may exist on the outlook and
functions from yours.

OPERATION ATTENTION
Read the owner manual book seriously before operating and mastering the mastering the
main points. Please consult the local dealer in difficulty.
The air conditioner is designed to supply comfortable room circumstance. It is only used for
the purpose according to the manual book.
1. Check before operating
•Check if the ground wire is broken or not connected.
•Check if the air filter is attathed well.
•If the unit has not been used for a long time, it is recommended to clean the air filter
before you using the unit. For continuous use, clean the air filter at least once every
two weeks.
2. Safty caution
•Do not humidify the indoor unit and remote controller.
•Otherwise, it will cause electric shock or fire.
•Do not use or place flammable gas or liquid such as fixature, paint or benzine near
the air Conditioner.
•Do not touch the louver when it runs.
•Otherwise, your finger will be clamped or the drive parts will be broken.
•When the fuse blow, do not replace it with the unsuitable fuse or other wire.
•If the fuse is replaced with brass or iron wire, it will cause air conditioner damaged or
fire.
•Do not insert any stick into the outlet or inlet.
•When the wheel runs in high speed, it is very danger that fan hits anything else.
•Do not remove the fan cover of outdoor unit.
•It will be danger that the fan runs in high speed without the cover.
•Do not turn on / off the the air conditioner by main power switch, please control the air
conditioner by the on / off button on the remote controller.
•Do not let the kid play the units.
•Do not server the air conditioner yourself.
•Please commit server operation to the specified service person.
•Switch off the main power before cleaning filter net and machine body. Although it will
not cause electric shock when replacing and cleaning the filter net, cleaning the
machine body with dry cloth normally with the double protection from accident electric
shock, for the absolute safety of users, routine maintenance should be carried on
after switching off the power.

Air conditioner operating conditions
For proper performance, run the air conditioner under the following temperature conditions:
Outdoor temperature: 18 to 43 ºC
Room temperature: above 17 ºC
Cooling operation CAUTION
Room relative humidity less than 80%. If the air conditioner operates in excess
of this figure, the surface of the air conditioner may attract condensation.
Outdoor temperature: -7 to 24 ºCHeating operating (cooling
only type without) Room temperature: under 30 ºC
Outdoor temperature: 11 to 43 ºCDry operation
Room temperature: 17 to 32 ºC
If air conditioner is used beyond the above conditions, safety protection features may come into
operation.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to install this unit by yourself. This unit requires
installation by qualified persons.
DANGER
Do not attempt to service the unit yourself. This unit has no user
serviceable components. Opening or removing the cover will expose
you to dangerous voltage. Tuning off the power supply will not prevent
potential electric shock.
DANGER
Never put hands or objects into the Air Outlet of indoor or outdoor
units. These units are installed with a fan running at high speed. To
touch the moving fan will cause serious injury.
DANGER
To avoid the risk of serious electrical shock, Never sprinkle or spill
water or liquids on unit.
WARNING
Ventilate the room regularly while the air conditioner is in use,
especially if there is also a gas appliance in use in this room, Failure
to follow these directions may result in a loss of oxygen in the room.
WARNING
To prevent electric shock, turn off the power or disconnect the power
supply plug before beginning any cleaning or other routine
maintenance. Follow the directions for cleaning in the Owner's
Manual.
WARNING
Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners, use a soft and dry cloth
for cleaning the unit. To avoid electric shock, never attempt to clean
the units by sprinkling water.
CAUTION
Do not use caustic household drain cleaners in the unit. Drain
cleaners can quickly destroy the unit components (drain pan and heat
exchanger coil etc).
NOTE
For proper performance, operate the unit in temperature and humidity
ranges indicated in this owner's manual. If the unit is operated beyond
these conditions, it may cause malfunctions of the unit or dew dripping
from the unit.

1. TEMP Button T: Push the button to make the indoor setting temperature decrease, or
adjust the Timer in the anti-clockwise direction.
2. MODE Select Button: Each time you push the button, a mode is selected in a sequence
that goes from AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT and FAN, as the following figure:

3. SWING Button: Pushing Chis switch button to change the swing angle of louver.
4. RESET Button: When push the RESET button, all the current settings are cancelled and
get into the condition of the beginning.
5. ECONOMIC RUNNING Button: Push Chis button, it is Energy-Saving operation mode.
6. LOCK Button: Push the button, lock all the current settings, and another push, cancel
the LOCK function.
7. CANCEL Button: To cancel the TIMER settings.
8. TIMER Button: This button is used to preset the time ON (start to operate) and the time
OFF (turn off the operation).
9. ON/OFF Button: Push Chis button to start operation, push the button again to stop
operation.
10. FAN SPEED Button: This button is used for setting Fan Speed in the sequence t h t
goes from AUTO, LOW , MED to HIGH, then back to Auto.
11. TEMP Button: Push the button to make the indoor setting temperature increase, or
adjust the Timer in the clockwise direction.
NOTE: VENTILATION Button: push this button to set the ventilating mode, each time
when pushed, the ventilating mode operate as the following sequence:
JContinuous JAuto JOff –
Ventilation Function is optional, only available for the Fresh Star Series.

1. TRANSMISSION Indicator: This indicator lights when remote controller transmits signals
to indoor unit.
2. MODE Display: Show the current operation mode, includes AUTO, COOL DRY and
HEAT.
3. ONLY FOR HEAT PUMP LOCK Display Displayed: By pushing the LOCK button push
the LOCK button again to disappear.
4. TIMER Display: This display area show the settings of TIMER that is if only set the
starting time of operation it will display the TIMER ON,if only set the turning off time of
operation it will display the TIMER OFF, if set both it will show TIMER ON OFF, which
indicate you have chosen to set the starting and off the operation of TIMER.
5. FAN Display: Push the FAN button Chis signal indicator lights.
6. Digital Display: Area as a rule Chis area will show the setting temperature and if on the
TIMER condition it show the ON and OFF settings of TIMER.
NOTE: All items are shown in the Fig.2 for the purpose of clear presenta tion But during
the actual operation only the relative functional items are shown on the display
panel.

Usage of the Remote Controller
Replacing Batteries
The Remote Controller uses two alkaline dry batteries (R03/Ir03X2).
1. For the first time of using Slide the back cover of the battery compartment, according the
Direction (+and -)shown on the surface inserí a couple new batters.
2. To replace the old batteries in the same way as the mentioned aboye.
NOTE
1. When replacing batteries do not use old batteries or different type batteries. Such using
may cause the remoce controller to malfunction.
2. lf you do not use the remoce controller for severa/ weeks remove the batteries.
Otherwise battery leakage may damage the remoce controller.
3. The average battery life in the normal using way is about 6 months.
4. Replace the batteries when there is no receiving beep from the indoor unit or if the
transmission indicator on the remoce controller fai/s to light.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
When the Air Conditioner is ready to be operated. Switch on the power and the OPERATION
in dicator lamp on the display panel of the indoor unit starts flashing.
1. Mode select button MODE select AUTO.
2. Push the TEMP button to set the desired the temperature normally. The most
comfortable, setting temperature is from 21 °C to 28°C.
3. Push the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner. The OPERATION lamp on the
display panel of the indoor unit lights. The operating mode is AUTO FAN SPEED is
automatically set and there is no indicators shown on the display panel of the remoce
controller.
4. Push the ON/OFF button again to stop the operation of air to conditioner.
NOTE
1. On the Mode of AUTO the air conditioner can make a logic judgement to choose the
mode of COOL, FAN, HEAT and DRY for cool only type according to difference
between the actual indoor temperature and the setting temperature.
2. lf the AUTO mode is not comfortable for you then select the desired mode manually.
COOLING HEAT and FAN ONLY Operation
1. Push the MODE button select COOL, HEAT cooling only type without or FAN ONLY.
2. Push the TEMP button to set the desired temperature when cooling the better settings is
21 °C or aboye when heating the better settings is 28°C or below.
3. Push the FAN SPEED to select the FAN mode of AUTO, HIGH, MED or LOW.
4. Push the ON/OFF button, the operation lamp lights and the air conditioner start to
operate as your settings. Push the ON/OFF button again to stop it.
NOTE
The FAN ONLY mode can not be used to control temperature. Therefore perform only steps
of No.1. 3 and 4 to select Chis mode.

DRY Operation
1. Push the MODE button to select DRY.
2. Push the TEMP button to set the desired temperature from 21 °C to 28°C.
3. Push the ON/OFF button, the operation lamp lights and the air conditioner start to
operate DRY. Push the ON/OFF button agair to stop it.
NOTE
In light of the difference of the setting temperature and indoor temperature, Air Conditioner
in DRY mode will automatically operate many times without running the COOL and FAN
mode.
TIMER Operation
PUSH TIMER button to set the TIMER on time and TIMER off time.
1. Only set the starting time.
1.1 Please push the CANCEL button to cancel the former settings if there is.
1.2 Push the TIMER button, then the remoce controller show the TIMER and the signal "h"
was shown on the display panel. It is ready to readjust the TIMER ON to start the
operation.
1.3 Push the TEMP button (▼or ▲) to set desired time you want to start.
1.4 After finishing setting TIMER 0.5 second the remoce controIler will transmit the signal
to the air conditioner. then after 2 seconds the digital area will show the temperature
again.
2. Only set the stopping time.
2.1 Please press the CANCEL button to cancel the former settings if there is.
2.2 Push the TIMER button, then the remote controller shows the last setting of starting
operation TIME and the signal "h" was shown on the display panel. It is ready to
readjust the TIMER OFF to stop the operation.
2.3 Push the TEMP button to cancel the TIMER ON the digital area show "00".
2.4 Push the TIMER button and the remote controller show the las' setting time of stopping
the operation and the signal "h" will be shown on the display panel, it is ready to
readjust to set the time of stopping operation.
2.5 Push the TEMP button (▼or ▲) to set the time you want to stop the operation.
2.6 After finishing setting TIMER 0.5 second, the Remoce Controller will transmit the signal
to the Air Conditioner. Then after 2 seconds, the Digital Area will show the number of
temperature again.
3. Set the starting & stopping time
3.1 Please push the CANCEL button to cancel the former settings if there is.
3.2 Push the TIMER button, then the remote controller show the last setting starting
operation TIME and the signal "h" was shown on the display panel it is ready to
readjust the TIMER ON to start the operation.
3.3 Push the TEMP button (▼or ▲) to set the time you want to start the operation.
3.4 Push the TIMER button and the remote controller show the last setting time of stopping
the operation and the signal "h" will be shown on the display panel. It is ready to
readjust the Time of stopping operation.
3.5 Push the TEMP button (▼or ▲) to set the time you want to stop the operation.
3.6 After finishing setting TIMER 0.5 second the remote controller will transmit the signal to
the air conditioner. then after 2 seconds the digital area will show the of temperature
again.
NOTE
1. Please reset the TIMER after canceling the former time settings.
2. The setting time is relative time that is the time you set is the delay of the current time.

Warning
1. Be cure there are no barriers between the remote controller and the receiver of
indoor unit otherwise the air conditioner will not work.
2. Avoid any liquid of soaking the Remote Controller.
3. Keep the remote controller form the high temperature and radiation ares.
4. The receiver of the indoor unit can' t not be uncovered under the direct sunlight.
Otherwise the air conditioner will not work normally.
5. If there is EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) form other home appliances please
remove the those appliances or contact with the local dealer.

ADJUSTING AIR FLOW DIRECTION
Adjust the air direction up and down
Auto-swing Manual Swing
Press SWING button, the louver will swing up
and down automatically.
Adjust the louver to achieve better

Adjust the louver horizontally. Adjust the louver downwards (vertically).
Adjust the Air Flow Direction Left and Right
Adjust the vertical blade inside of the air outlet louver to the expected direction.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Before you clean the air conditioner, be sure to disconnect the power supply plug.
Cleaning the indoor unit and remote controller
CAUTIONS
•Use a dry cloth to wipe the indoor unit and remote controller. A cloth dampened with
cold water may be used on the indoor unit if it is very dirty. Never use a damp cloth on
the remote controller.
•Do not use a themically-treted duster for wiping or leave such material on the unit for
long, because it may damage or fade the surface of the unit.
•Do not use benzine, thinner, polishing powder, or similar solvents for cleaning. These
may cause the plastic surface to crack or deform.
If you do not plan to use the unit for at least 1 month.
(1) Operate the fan for about half a day to dry the inside of the unit.
(2) Stop the air conditioner and disconnect power.
(3) Remove the batteries from the remote controller.
Checks before operation
CAUTIONS
•Check that the wiring is not broken off or disconnected.
•Check that the air filter is installed. (Some air-conditioners haven't air filters.)
•Check that the outdoor unit air outlet or inlet is not blocked
Before you clean the air conditioner, be sure to disconnect the power supply plug.
Cleaning the air filter
•The air filter can prevent the dust or other particulate from going inside .In case of
blockage of the filter, the working efficiency of the air conditioner may greatly decrease.
Therefore, the filter must be cleaned once two weeks during long time usage.
•If the air conditioner is positioned in a dust place, the cleaning frequency of the air filter
must be increased.
•If the accumulated dust is too heavy to be cleaned, please replace the filter with a new
one(replaceable air filter is an optional fitting).

1. Open the air-in grill
Push the grill switthes towards the middle simultaneously as indicated in sketch A. Then
pull down the air-in grill.
2. Take out the air-in grill.
3. Dismantle the air filter
4. Clean the air filter (Vacuum cleaner or pure water may be used to clean the air filter. If
the dust accumulation is too heavy , please use soft brush and mild detergent to clean it
and dry out in cool place) .

•The air-in side should face up when using vacuum cleaner. (See Fig. 1)
•The air-in side should face down when using water. (See Fig. 2)
Cautions : Do not dry out the air filter under direct sunshine or with fire.
5. Re-install the air filter
6. Install and close the air-in grill in the reverse order of step 1 and 2 and connect the
control box cables to the corresponding terminators of the main body.

TROUBLES AND CAUSES
Before you ask for servicing or repairs, Check the following points.
ReCheck
Inoperative
•The power fuse is blown or the circuit breaker has been tripped.
•The batteries in the remote controller are exhausted.
•The timer is set.
Does not cool or heat well.
•The air inlet or outlet of the outdoor unit is blocked.
•Doors or windows are open.
•The air filter is clogged with dust.
•The louver is not at the correct position.
•The fan speed is set to low.
•The temperature setting is too high or too low.
These are not failures
Room air is smelly.
A bad odor comes from the air conditioner.
•Smells impregnated in the wall, carpet, furniture, clothing, or furs, are coming out. A
white mist of chilled air or water is generated from the outdoor unit.
CAUTIONS
If any of the following conditions occur, stop the air conditioner immediately, set to off the
power switch, and contact the dealer:
•The indicator lamps flash rapidly (five times per second), you disconnect the unit with
the power and then connect the unit with the power again after two or three minutes but
the lamps still flash.
•Switch operations are erratic.
•The fuse is blown frequently or the circuit breaker is tripped frequently.
•Foreign matter or water has fallen inside the air conditioner.
•Any other unusual condition is observed.

Before you ask for servicing or repairs, Check the following points.

on the display.
When the time set to start the air conditioner
is reached, the air conditioner will
automatically start and the appropriate
indicator will go off.
The Signal Receiving Tone does Not Sound

transmitter of the remote
controller is properly
directed to the receiver of
the indoor unit when the
ON/OFF button is pushed.

and then repeatly push the ON/ OFF button
twice.
Buttons on the remote
controller don't work.
Press Reset button.
