3. Getting Started
3.1 Battery
The batteryatitsinitialcondition is charged to50%full,and canbe
used afterunwrapping.Forthe firstthree timesofcharging,do not
recharge until thebatteryis totallyexhausted,sothatthebatterycan
reachitsbest usage performance.
3.2 Removing and installing battery
Forremoving:
A.Pushthe batterybackcover;
B.Lift the batteryup asindicated bythearrow;
C. Takethe batteryout.
Warning: Makesuretopoweroffthephonebeforetaking out SIMcard,
otherwiseyourSIMcardmight be damaged.
Forinstalling:
A.Placethemetalcontactpointsofthe batteryupwardand flush

withmetalcontactpointsinthebatterybay,theninsertthebottomof
batteryintobatterybay;
B.Placethe back coverofthebatteryontothephonesquarely,
and pushinthedirection of the arrow till it clicksintoplace.
Charging Battery
Whilecharging,the powersupplyindicatoratphone’sscreen icon
zone will flashinarotation manner, if the phone is off whilecharging, a
charging screen willstillappear, indicating that the phone is recharging.
If the phoneis stillbeing overused whilethe powersupplyis insufficient,
the recharging indicatorwill appearon the screen afterthe recharging
hasstarted forawhile.
When the powersupplyindicatoratthe screen’sicon zone showsfull
and stopsflashing,itmeanscharging hascompleted.Ifittakesplace
when thephone is off,thescreen will displaycharging-finished icon.
The process generallytakesabout2.5hours.Itis normalthatthe
battery, the phone andthe chargerwillbecomehot during the charging
process.
Charging completing,disconnectthe phoneandthechargerfromthe
AC powersupply.

Note: Batterymust be chargedinawell ventilated placewith
surrounding temperatureat -10 ~+55 , andit is imperativethat a
chargerprovided bymanufactureris used. Using unauthorized charger
might causedanger, whichalsoviolateswarrantytermsprescribed by
the manufacturer.Ifthecharging temperatureis toohigh ortoolow,the
phone will automaticallygivewarning andstop charging, soasto
preventdamagestobatteryordangers.
3.3 Connecting toNetwork
SIMcard
AvalidSIM(SubscriberIdentityModule)cardmustbe inserted inthe
phone beforeusing it.
All information related tomaking connection tothenetworkare
recorded inthe chipsofSIMcard,including the names,phone
numbersand shortmessagesyou havestored intheSIMcardPhone
book.Inordertopreventloss ordamage ofthe infointhe SIMcard,it
is necessarytoavoidtouching metalcontactsurface,and keep SIM
cardfarfromelectricitycurrent andmagnet.
3.4 Inserting and removing SIMcard
Poweroff thephone;removebatteryand otherexternalpower
connection, asshowninthe image.
Insert SIMcardintoSIMcardsocket.
When you need toremoveSIMcard,pleasepoweroffthe phone first,
removebattery, thenremovethecard.

3.5 Inserting and removing memorycard
Poweroff thephone;removebatteryand otherexternalpower
connection.
Insert memorycardintocardslot asshowninthe image.
3.6 Poweron/offphone
Topoweron orpoweroff phone,pleasepress and holdtheEndkey.
Then the screen willdisplaythe following promptsinsequentialorder:
Enterphone password –ifyou havesetup phone lockpassword.
EnterPIN –ifyouhaveset upSIMcardpassword.

Search –the phone will searchtillfinding appropriatenetwork
connection.
3.7 Unlocking SIMcard
Topreventillegalusage,PIN(PersonalIdentification Number) code is
adopted toencryptforprotection ofyourSIMcard.Selecting this
option andifhavingsetupPINcodeprotection,youhavetoenterPIN
code eachtimeyoustartit, unlocking SIMcardtousethemobile
phone.
Userscan eraseSIMcardpassword;however,inthis caseSIMcard
cannot prevent illegalusage.
Press and holdthe End keytopoweron the phone;
EnterPINcode,userightsoft keytodeleteinput-errors,left softkeyfor
"OK". Forinstance, if PIN setting is 1234, then enterthe following input:
1234"OK".
If therearethree consecutiveinput errors, yourSIMcardwill be locked
up bythe network, the phone will inquirePUKcode.
Note: Yourserviceproviderwill set up astandardPIN(4to8digits)
numberforyourSIMcard;you shouldchangeit intoyourprivate
passwordassoon aspossible.
3.8 Unlocking phone
The phone lockprotectsyourphone fromunauthorized use.The
defaultphone lock code is 0000.You canchangeitintoanynumeric
string of 4to8digits.
Ifthe phone lockfunction is enabled,youneed toenterthe correct
phone lockcode when thephone is powered on orinthe standby

mode.
3.9 Connecting tonetwork
AfterSIMcardis successfullyunlocked,thephonewill automatically
searchavailablenetwork(withsearching showing on thescreen).
Oncethe connection is made,the nameofthe serviceproviderwill be
displayed on thetop centralpartofthe textandgraphic area.Atthis
timeyourphone hasbeen connected tothe servicenetwork.
Note: If thescreen prompts"Emergency",this meansyouhavemoved
out of thenormalnetworkcoverage (servicerange)oryourcardhas
not passed authentication, butyou can still transmit emergencycalls
based on signalstrength.

4. BasicFunctions
4.1 Making acall
When the logo of serviceproviderappearson the displayscreen,you
can dialorreceivecalls.The infobaratthe upperleft cornerofthe
displayscreen showsnetworksignalstrength(whenthereare5info
barsthe signalis at itsstrongest).
The callqualityis verylikelytobe affected byobstructions;therefore
movement inasmall area can effectivelyimprovecall performance.
4.2 Making domesticcalls
Enterphone number,and then press DialKeytomakethe call.Ifthe
userneedstochangephone number, press right soft key"Clear"back
and deletenumbers.Dialing animation willbe displayedon the screen
during dialing.Call stateinfowill be shownon thescreen afterthe
called partyendsthe call

4.3 Dialing extensionnumberoffixed-line
telephone
Someextension numbersoffixed-line telephone cannotbe connected
directly,you mustdialthe powerboardphone number,then press *
keytopowercontinually,until the screen displays"P",then dial
extension number.
You can dialextension numbersof fixed-line telephoneinthe following

4.4 Dialing internationalcalls
Tomakean internationalcall,youmaypress 0keytopower
continually,till the screen displaysthepre-digitsymbol"+"for
internationallong distancecall,whichwillenableyoutomakeacall
fromanycountrywithout knowing thelocalinternationalaccesscode.
You can enternumbersinthe following sequencetomakean
internationalcall:
+ CountrycodecompletephonenumberDial Key.
Afterinputting prefixnumber, input thecode andthe completephone
numberof the wanted country. The countrycode followsusualpractice,
suchasGermany49, UK44,Sweden 46, etc.
Likemaking an internationalcall, the "0"beforecitycode number
shouldbe dropped.
Forinstance,ifmaking acalltoaservicehotline fromothercountries
toShanghai,you shoulddial: +86 21114
4.5 Dialing phonenumbersinthecall records
Everyphone numberyou havedialed orreceivedwill be stored inthe
listofphone call records.The latestdialed,received and missed
numberswillbe listed,according totheirtypes,inthe respective
menu ofdialed calls,received calls and missed calls.When call
recordlistisfull,the oldnumberswill automaticallybedeleted.To
viewthe list, do the followings:
nInstandbystatepress Dialkeytoview therecordfordialcalls.
nAll phone numbersinthelistcan be dialed directlybypressing
the Dialkey.

nWhen the list is displayed, press OK”toread the details, then
options”toSaveorDeletethenumber.
4.6 Emergency calls
Aslong asinthe networkservicerange (whichcan be confirmed by
checking the signalstrengthbarson thetop left cornerofthe screen),
you can alwayscall emergencyservice. If yournetworksupplierdoes
not provide roaming serviceinyourarea,the screen will display
"Emergency",toinformyou that onlyemergencycall is permitted. If
you arewithinthenetworkservicerange,you can alsomake
emergencycalls even without the SIMcard.
4.7 Answering acall
Simplypress dialing keyor answer”keycan answeran incoming call.
If an earphonehasbeen connected, usethe buttonon the earphone to
answeracall, and if it is not convenientforyoutopress it, set
automatic answerason, assuring that the earphone is plugged on, so
astomakecalls automaticallyanswered whilethe phone ringsor
vibrates. IfAnyKeyanswerfunction is chosen, pressing anykey, other
than End keyand right soft key, can answeran incoming call.
4.8 Call records
Yourphone can alsostorecall recordsofthe latestmissed calls,
received calls,dialed calls,the timeof lastcall aswell astotalamount
of receivedcalls and totaldialed callsforyou.
4.9 Call options
Inconnectedstate, pressing left soft key Options”can entercall option,

orpressing rightsoft key"H-free"toactivatespeaker,under
activated-handsfree condition,press rightsoft key H-hold"topower
off speaker.Operation methodsofcall optionsarethe samewiththat
of Function menu.
Thiscalloptionscan onlybe viewedduring call process,moreover, the
functionsofcall waiting,callholding,and conferencecalls need
servicesupport, pleasecontactyourserviceproviderfordetails.
Inthe call options,you can makethe following operations:
nHoldSingle
Makethe current call hold.
nEnd Single
End thecurrent call.
nNew call
Enternewdialing interface.
nPhone book
EnterPhone bookmenu.
nMessages
EnterShort message menu. Owing torestriction of network
engagement, MMSfunction is barred during call process.
nSound Recorder
Recordthe current call.
nBackgroundsound
Setup the background sound forthecurrent calling.
nMute
When setting of powers, whichdisablethe transmission of localcall if
mutefunction is on.
nDTMF
Operationsof DTMFpowering on and off
nConference*

Entermultiplepartyconferencecall state. Byfollowing the prompts,
you can havethe following functions: receivewaiting calls, add them
intomultiplepartycall, maintainthe multiplepartycall, talkprivately
withone partyof theconferencewhilemaintaining all othercallers,
connect one partyinthe call conferencewithanotherpartywhile
exiting the multiplepartycall oneself, maintainone partyof the multiple
partycall and end current call and all othermaintained calls.
Note:The menu marked *itemswill onlyappearinspecial
circumstances. Forconferencefunction, it isnecessarytoapplyfor
servicesupplytocorresponding serviceoperator.
4.10Createanew shortmessage
1.Entertext message.
2.Press the left soft key(Option)and select the required items,
including Use templates , Insertobject, Textformat, Insert
contact, InsertBookmarkand Input method.
3.Press the left soft key(Option)and select SIMdone.
4.11Createanew MultimediaMessage
1.Enterrecipientsin to bypressing the left softkey(Edit).Confirm
withdone.
2.Enterasubject in Subject byselecting Edit.
3.Entertext inEdit content byselecting Edit.
4.Press the left soft key (Option)and selectthe itemsyou wantto
send,including images(add picture),audios(add audios),add
videofilesinotherformats(Add attachment)and slide (add slide
before/after), addbookmarktext, preview andsoon.
5.Confirmthe contentsbyselecting Option and Done.
