Important Information Before Use
This uide aims to help you use this product correctly. Before installin and usin this product for the first
time, please be sure to carefully read all the materials included with the product, especially the precautions
mentioned in the safety Information Section and Other terms in this uide. This will help you better use this
product.
Computer Usage Precautions
• When the computer is runnin , do not use a dust shield or dust cloth to cover the heat dissipation vents
on the top of the product to prevent hardware dama e.
• Never open the housin of non-repairable parts, such as the optical drive and power adapter.
DANGER
Opening the optical drive or power adapter housing can cause electric shock, laser radiation, or
even explosion.
• Do not drop, bump, scratch, twist, hit, vibrate, or push your computer unit, monitor, or external devices.
• If the computer you purchased has a wireless network card, this card may be incompatible with outdated
routers, causin connection failures. To solve this problem, we recommend you contact your router
manufacturer and request a firmware update.
• Lenovo is not responsible for third-party software and antivirus pro rams that use your computer’s
camera, microphone, or other multimedia devices to obtain private information (includin ima es or audio)
throu h Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and other methods of communication.
Display Usage Precautions
Cut off power supply before maintainin the display each time.
Do not:
• Directly use water or any liquid to clean the display.
• Use solvents or abrasives.
• Use flammable cleaners to clean the display.
• Use sharp objects or abrasives on the display, which may cause permanent dama e to your display.
• Use cleaners that contain antistatic solutions or similar additives, which will dama e the coatin on the
display.
Do:
• Dip a soft duster in a little water and then use it to ently clean the periphery and screen of the display.
• Use a wet duster and a little mild cleaner to wipe off reases and fin erprints.
Notes:
• Do not drop, hit, or scratch the LCD or put a heavy wei ht on it.
• Avoid direct contact with the liquid crystal materials spilt upon LCD break. Otherwise, flush immediately
with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

• Do not touch the display (except the touch screen). Rude operations or heavy pressures may dama e it.
• Keep the display in a dry and clean workin environment, and away from chemicals.
• Avoid display of the same frame or a hi hli ht workin status for a lon time.
• Ensure that the duster is clean without forei n matters before usin it to clean the screen.
Precautions for the touch screen:
• Avoid direct sunshine or li ht durin use.
• Do not use corrosive liquids to clean the touch screen.
• Keep the surface of the touch screen clean for a day-to-day usa e.
• Do not contact the touch screen with any sharp objects.
• Avoid a heavy wei ht on the touch screen.
• Keep the display far away from the stron electroma netic interference.
• Frequently execute the position calibration pro ram.
If you use the display for a lon time, you may feel a visual fati ue. Perform the followin operations to relieve
eyestrain:
• Use ambient li hts and illuminants, keep ood workin habits and postures, and avoid reflectance to
ambient illuminants on the display.
• Adjust the display, such as the an le and position, to relieve eyestrain.
• Ensure the rest time:
– After you use the display for a lon time, it is recommended that you stop lookin at the display for a
period to relieve eyestrain.
– It is recommended that you have a rest of at least 5 minutes after usin the computer for about 1 hour.
– Frequent short rests better relieve eyestrain than a lon -time rest.
• Look at a distance: To minimize eyestrain and dryness, you can periodically focus on distant scenery
other than the display.
• Do eye exercises:
– Eye exercises help relieve eyestrain.
– Frequently do eye exercises. If you continuously feel eyestrain, consult a doctor as soon as possible.
– Do eye exercises as follows:
1. Repeatedly look up and down.
2. Move your eyeballs slowly.
3. Move your si ht toward dia onal directions.
Optical Mouse Usage Precautions
An optical mouse functions by emittin a stron red li ht throu h its LED, which is reflected by the desktop
surface and enters the sensor. The sensor senses micro texture chan es in the desktop surface to calculate
the direction and displacement of the mouse movement. Therefore, the reflective conditions of the desktop
have a si nificant influence on the performance of the optical mouse. The performance of the optical mouse
is de raded when used on the followin types of surfaces causin jitter, jumps, difficult movement, or even
complete lack of function:
• Surfaces that cannot reflect li ht diffusely: such as lass table tops, transparent table mats, and mirrors.
• Overly shiny surfaces: such as metal surfaces and laminated ma azine covers.

• Surfaces with stron directional textures: such as brushed metal surfaces, wood surfaces with strai ht
rain, and tatami mats.
• Surfaces that are uniform at the micron level: such as marble tabletops and artificial marble tabletops.
• Surfaces with pixel-level specifications and patterns: such as coordinate paper, screen-printed patterns,
and boards with artificial wood rain.
• Surfaces that are too dark or close to red: such as black or red desktops.
If your desk has one of the above surfaces, we recommend you take one of the followin measures to
improve your optical mouse performance:
• Place a piece of ordinary white paper that is not too smooth (and is not too shiny, like coated paper) on
your desktop to use as a mousepad.
• Use a mousepad desi ned for an optical mouse.
Storage Media and Driver Usage Precautions
1. If your computer comes with an optical drive, do not touch the surface of the disc or the lens on the tray.
2. Wait until you hear the CD or DVD click into the center pivot of the optical drive before closin the tray.
3. When installin a hard drive, apply pressure on the device only where needed.
System Usage Precautions
• Lenovo recommends you use the Windows 10 operatin system provided by Microsoft. Because
Microsoft no lon er provides support for Windows XP and earlier operatin systems, some software and
hardware may be incompatible with these operatin systems. If you install a Windows 10 operatin
system on your own, the self-installed operatin system may have hi h hardware confi uration
requirements that your computer cannot support. This may cause the system to be unable to run properly
or compatibility issues with some hardware and software that can make the system unusable. We
recommend you consult the Microsoft website for the latest information to determine whether your
computer can support the confi uration requirements of your chosen operatin system. In order to
enhance the security and stability of your computer system, please promptly download the latest
operatin system patches from the Microsoft website and up rade and update your system.
• Lenovo recommends you use the preinstalled operatin system, but does not prevent you from installin
another operatin system on this product. However, because other operatin systems have not passed
ri orous testin on this product, Lenovo cannot uarantee that an operatin system other than the
preinstalled system or the supported operatin systems listed in this uide will be stable, reliable, and
secure when used on this computer. Other operatin systems may not be able to obtain the normal
performance, stability, reliability, and security of this product. Furthermore, Lenovo does not uarantee
that it provides the drivers for other operatin systems.
• The operatin system (such as Windows 10) and application software (such as word processin and
database software) come with their own instructions manuals. If you encounter any problems when usin
these pro rams, please refer to the relevant instructions manual.
• The functions of the preinstalled operatin system and any preinstalled application software are distinct
from the functions of this product itself, and such functions shall not be construed as functions of this
product.
• Lenovo does not provide any commitments or services related to the usability or reliability of hardware
and software provided by a third party.
• The onboard inte rated raphics card shares some resources with the physical memory. Therefore, the
memory value displayed in the system may be less than the physical value of the memory hardware.
• Generally, users can chan e the DVD re ion code five times. Go to "Device Mana er" → "DVD/CD-ROM
Drivers" and click the relevant driver on the "DVD Re ion" pa e to view the number of times you can

chan e the settin . If you have reached the limit, you can only play DVDs compatible with the currently set
re ion. In addition, some DVDs may not have re ional retractions, which is indicated by a re ion of 0.

Chapter 1. Install the Computer
Notes:
• Before installin the computer, check the packin list to make sure all the parts are provided.
• Before installin and usin the computer, carefully read this user uide.
Connect to Power
Connect the computer to a power as shown in the fi ure below:
1. Connect the power adapter to the power cord.
2. Connect the power adapter to the correspondin connector on the back of the computer.
3. Connect the power cord to a properly rounded electrical outlet.
Notes:
• If your computer has a wireless keyboard and mouse, connect them followin the relevant instructions.
• You must use the power adapter provided by Lenovo. The use of another power adapter may cause
combustion or explosion.
Install the VESA Mount Bracket
Notes:
• Do not disassemble or try to repair the computer chassis.
• Some models are equipped with a VESA mount bracket. Refer to your computer to see if it is equipped
with a VESA mount bracket.
Perform the followin steps to install the VESA mount bracket:
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the cables such as the power cord.
2. Hold the two sides of the chassis, and then slide the chassis in the arrow direction to install it to the
VESA mount bracket.
3. Use two screws to fix and install the VESA mount bracket and the computer.

Install the Rear Wi-Fi Antenna
Notes:
• If the computer you purchased does not support the Wi-Fi function, please skip this section.
• Fi ures in this section are only for reference. Refer to your computer to see if this function is available.
Install the Rear Wi-Fi Antenna
Perform the followin steps to install the rear Wi-Fi antenna:
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the cables such as the power cord.
2. Screw the Wi-Fi antenna into the rear Wi-Fi antenna connector of the chassis.
3. Adjust the an le of the rear Wi-Fi antenna for the optimal Wi-Fi si nal of the computer and to reduce
antenna dama e risks.

Install the Optical Drive
Notes:
• Do not start or try to repair the optical drive without permission.
• Some models are equipped with an optical drive. Refer to your computer to see if it is equipped with an
optical drive.
Perform the followin steps to install the optical drive to the host:
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect the cables such as the power cord.
2. If necessary, install the optical drive to the external optical drive box first.
3. Ali n the screw on the VESA mount bracket with the correspondin hole on the external optical drive
box, and then slide the external optical drive bracket until it snaps into the ri ht positions on the VESA
mount bracket.
4. Secure the external optical drive box to the VESA mount bracket with the screw.
5. Use the USB cable to connect the host to the external optical drive enclosure.
6. Start the computer host to use the optical drive.

Notes:
•If the optional connector is a USB-C connector, it transfers data at only USB 2.0 speed, and the
DisplayPort over USB-C function supports transferrin audio and video si nals.
• If the optional connectors are two USB Type-A connectors, they transfer data at only USB 2.0 speed.

Start Up the Computer
Press and hold the power button on the case to start up the computer.
Shut Down the Computer
To prevent dama e to hardware/software systems or loss of data, do not arbitrarily use the power button to
shut down the computer. Instead, shut down the computer as follows.
For the Windows 10 operating system:
1. Click the icon to open the Start Menu.
2. Click “Power”→“Shut down”, as shown in the fi ure below.

3. Wait for the computer to shut down and then turn off the monitor and other peripheral devices.
Note: After you turn off the system, please wait at least 20 seconds before turnin the computer back on to
avoid hardware faults.
Connect to Wi-Fi Networks
Note: If the computer you purchased is not a Wi-Fi device, please skip this section.
A Wi-Fi connection provides mobile Internet access within the covera e area of the Wi-Fi si nal. This method
allows you to connect to the Internet wirelessly.
Wi-Fi LAN networks cover a small area, such as a house, office, or a campus with several buildin s. You
must connect to an access point (such as a wireless router) to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
Connect to Bluetooth Devices
Note: If the computer you purchased does not have a Bluetooth function, please skip this section.
If your computer is equipped with a Bluetooth adapter card, you can connect it to other Bluetooth devices,
such as laptops, PDAs, and mobile phones, to transmit data wirelessly.
In an open space, Bluetooth devices can transmit data within a ran e of 10 meters.
Notes:
• The actual maximum connection distance will vary due to interference and obstacles between devices. To
obtain the optimal transmission speed, brin the other device as close to the computer as possible.
• Before transmittin data, you must pair the Bluetooth device with your computer.
Smart Temperature Control
Note: Some computer support this function. Refer to your computer to see if it has this function.

The smart temperature control option is used to control the noise of the computer and its heat dissipation
performance by selectin different temperature control settin s.
• When you select "Best Performance" (default settin ), the computer optimizes system performance with
normal acoustic level.
• When you select "Best Experience", the computer optimizes the user experience with balanced noise and
better performance.
• When you select "Full Speed", the system will run all fans at full speed.
The procedure is as follows:
1. Restart the computer. When the lo o screen is displayed, press F1 or Fn+F1.
2. Select "Power"→"Intelli ent Coolin " and then press Enter.
3. Select "Performance Mode" and press Enter.
4. Set the performance mode as desired.
5. Press F10 or Fn+F10 to save your chan es and exit.
Smart Driver Installation
In order to let you quickly, conveniently, and correctly install drivers for the components in your computer, we
desi ned an exclusive smart driver installation system. By usin the smart installation system, you do not
need to spend a lot of time lookin for diver paths in the driver disc. Instead, the smart installation system
helps you automatically detect the PCI and PCI-E settin s that can be installed. This pro ram supports the
Windows 10 operatin system. You just need to insert the provided driver disc and it will automatically install
the necessary drivers.
Note: Durin driver installation, follow the system prompts to complete the process.
The smart driver installation pro ram provides full installation and selective installation options:
• Full installation: When this option is enabled, the smart driver installation pro ram will automatically detect
the computer hardware information and display a hardware information dialo box. After you confirm the
displayed information, the pro ram will automatically install the drivers in the set sequence. To ensure the
stability of your computer durin the installation process, the smart installation system will restart the
computer when its operatin status permits.
• Selective installation: In the hardware information dialo box provided by the smart installation system,
you can manually install drivers one by one or install only the selected drivers.
Notes:
• The smart driver installation pro ram only supports the built-in PCI and PCI-E bus plu -and-play devices
provided by Lenovo. It does not support devices connected to serial ports, parallel ports, or USB ports.
• If you cannot use this pro ram to install drivers for additional expansion cards and external devices,
please install them manually.
• If you discover that some drivers have not been installed after runnin the automatic install pro ram,
please install them manually.
• You must manually install function keyboard drivers. For more information, see the "Function Keyboard
Instructions for Use" section.
• The hardware information in the installation list shown in this uide is for reference only. The actual
information displayed on your computer is the correct information.

Chapter 3. Set Up Your Computer
Set Up Sleep Mode
Note: The interface ima es in this chapter are for reference only.
For the Windows 10 operating system:
1. Ri ht-click the start icon to brin up a menu.
2. In this menu, select "Power Options".
3. This opens the "Power & sleep" interface. Set the sleep time to 30 minutes, as shown in the fi ure below.

4. After confi urin this settin , click the start icon and then "Power" → "Sleep" to put the
computer into power-savin mode.
Note: In power-savin mode, the computer sleep time cannot be set to more than 30 minutes.
Set Up BIOS Boot Order
To set the BIOS boot order for UEFI BIOS, follow the instructions below:
1. Turn on the computer and repeatedly press F1 on the keyboard to o to the "Startup" menu.
2. Select "Boot Priority Order" and press Enter.
3. In the boot priority order, follow the on-screen prompts and use the "+" or "-" buttons to select the boot
device order.
4. Press F10 and the screen will display a prompt. Select "Yes" and press Enter to save your chan es and
exit.
Note: If you need to use expansion devices, turn off the computer and then connect the devices.

Chapter 4. Software Use
Note: Do not install or use pirated software or software that may contain computer viruses.
Using Windows 10 System Software
Using the Start Menu
Click the Start menu icon in the lower-left corner of the desktop to brin up the commonly used
application menu and tile display menu. The special applications of Windows 10 are inte rated in the tile
menu.
Using the Shortcut Menu
Ri ht-click the Start menu icon in the lower-left corner of the desktop to brin up the Shortcut menu. On the
Shortcut menu, you can find Power Options, Disk Mana ement, Computer Mana ement, and other common
maintenance functions.
Multifunctional Desktop
•NNeeww DDeesskkttoopp::Click the "Task View" icon on the taskbar and then click "+ New desktop" to create a
new desktop. You can create multiple virtual desktops for different purposes and run different
applications on each desktop. After you add a virtual desktop, you can click the "Task View" icon in
the taskbar to mana e the applications launched in the different desktops.

• DDeelleettee DDeesskkttoopp::Click the "Task View" icon in the taskbar to brin up the task mana ement interface.
Move your cursor to the desktop to delete and click the x button in the upper-ri ht corner to delete the
current desktop.
Note: You can use this same method to close applications that are runnin in different desktops.
Action Center
Click the icon in the taskbar to open the Action Center. In the Action Center, you can view notifications,
switch to tablet mode, confi ure system settin s, and quickly access other common functions.
