Product Overview
The LevelOne FSW-1609 Fast Ethernet Switch provides dual port copper and fiber
optic connectivity with LAN networks for easy and cost-effective network
expansion.
Dual Media Connectivity
The LevelOne FSW-1609 provides 16 RJ-45 ports for connecting to or setting up a
Fast Ethernet LAN network. The shared Fast Ethernet Fiber Optic port allows for
dual connectivity to remote located networks or network expansion.
The RJ-45 ports are auto-sensing enabled for automatic port speed selection.
Also, the switch automatically recognizes usage on the fiber-optic port and will
allocate resources from the shared copper port.
Optional Fiber Optic Modules
The FSW-1609 can be utilized to connect to remote servers 2km away with
optional ST and SC fiber modules.
Reliable High-Speed Data Transmission
The FSW-1609 is compliant with IEEE802.3 1-Base-T, 802.3u 100Base-TX and
100Base-FX (fiber modules) for data transfers of up to 200Mpbs using CSMA/CD
protocols.
Utilizing store-and-forward packet-forwarding techniques the FSW-1609 stored the
incoming data frames in an internal buffer where it is checked for errors before
transmission, thereby preventing error packets from occurring.
The FSW-1609 is a highly efficient network switch for a reliable and stable network.
