How to Attach Slats to Side Rails
1. Insert bolted end of adjustable leveler into bottom of center support leg and twist until tight. Insert bolted end
of support leg into bottom of slats. There is a T-nut in the center of the board. Rotate clockwise until tight.
2. Adjust leveler so that support leg and leveler sit ½” above floor.
3. Place a slat 3” to 5” inward from each end of wood cleats. Place two slats between two end slats so that there
is an equal amount of space between all four slats.
4. Secure slats with wood screws (F) provided. Note that top side of slat has larger hole.
How to Assemble Posts to Headboard/Footboard
1. Screw head post into post attached to headboard panel until tight.
2. Insert bolted end of finial into head post and turn until tight (if not assembling with canopy).
3. Repeat for other head post.
4. Screw lower foot post section into top corner of footboard panel until tight.
5. Screw upper foot post section into lower foot post section until tight.
6. Insert bolted end of finial into upper foot post section and turn until tight (if not assembling with
canopy).
7. Repeat for other foot post.
For Low-Post Version of Headboard/Footboard
1. Remove finial from upper foot post section, then remove upper and lower foot post sections.
2. Screw FB low-post transition block into top corner of footboard panel until tight. Screw finial into
top of FB low-post transition block until tight.
3. Repeat Steps 1 & 2 for other footboard posts.
4. Remove finial from head post section, then remove head post.
5. Screw HB low-post transition block into post attached to headboard panel until tight. Screw finial
into HB low-post transition block until tight.
6. Repeat Steps 4 & 5 for other headboard post.
How to Assemble Canopy
1. If using canopy, remove all finials.
2. Lay long canopy rail on top of head and foot posts so that holes on each end of long canopy rail align
with holes in top of head and foot posts.
3. Repeat Step 2 for other long canopy rail and other head and foot posts.
4. Lay short canopy rail on top of both head posts so that holes in short canopy rail align with holes in top
of head posts.
5. Repeat Step 4 for other short canopy rail and foot posts.
6. Install finials back onto top of posts, through holes in canopy rails, and turn until tight.
