Step 3. Insert the Battery
Insert the battery, making sure to alignthe
gold contacts. Press down gentlyto secure
the battery.
Step 4. Replace the Back Cover
Place the coverover the back of the phone,
then press down along the edgesto secure
the cover.
Step 5. Charge the Phone
Before turning on your phone, chargeit fully.
Be sure to use the charger that came with
your phone.
Insert the microSD
If you have a microSD Card, slide the
microSD card intothe microSD card slot.
NOTE:
The microSD card is sold separately.

Powering your phone on/off
1. To turn on the phone, press and hold
the Power/Lock Key for a couple of
seconds until the screenlights up.
2. Totur n off the phone, pressand hold
the Power/Lock Key until the Phone
options are displayed. TapPower off > OK.
• If your screent urns off, press the Power/
Lock Key to turn it back on.
Lock Screen
1. Press the Power/Lock Key to turn
on your screen. Your Lock Screen will
appear.
2. Swipe the screen in any directionto
unlock it.
• To use a shortcut, swipe the icon in any
direction. The screen willunlock and
launch the application.
Step 1. Remove the Back Cover
Place your fingernail in the USB/Charger
Port cutout at the bottom of the phone and
pop the cover off the phone.
Step 2. Insert the SIM Card

Sending a Message
1. FromtheHome screen,tapMessaging .
The Messaging screen willopen, where
you can create a new messageor open an
ongoing messaget hread.
2. Tap inthe upper right corner to start a
new message.
3. Enter the contact’s name or number in the
Tofield, then type your message in the
text field.
4. After you complete your message, tap
to send it.
