Introduction
The LG Bluetooth®Headset HBM-800 is a lightweight wireless
Headset utilizing Bluetooth®technology. This product can be used
as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the Headset
or Handsfree Bluetooth®Profiles. If the Headset is attached to the
Cradle, it can be used as a Hands Free Kit.

- Attach the Headset to the Cradle.
�The headset will always charge when attached to the cradle, even if
both the headset and cradle are powered off.
�If the cradle battery is empty, the headset will not charge (the LED
indicator on the headset will not turn on, while in the cradle).
- The LED indicator will show a solid red light.
- It takes 2 hours to fully charge the Headset.
- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.
- The headset can also be charged using the Small Charging Cradle.
First, connect the charger to the charging port on the Small Charging
Cradle, then attach the HBM-800 headset.
- Prior to using the Headset for the first time, you must pair it with a
Bluetooth-enabled handset.
- There are 2 Pairing Mode Methods with the HBM-800.
1) Easy Pairing
�With the Power off, press and hold the PWR button for 3 seconds,
to turn on the HBM-800.
�The Headset will enter Auto-Reconnect mode, for 10 seconds (If your
Headset has been previously paired to the handset, the Headset will
automatically reconnect to the handset, when the HBM-800 is powered on.)

- Before using the HBM-800 headset, you will need to remove the
protective film which is covering the contacts on the headset.

Volume control
�After 10 seconds, the HBM-800 will automatically enter Paring Mode.
�When the headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show
a solid blue light.
�Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or
“add” new devices.
� Select “LG HBM-800” from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.
�When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure,
please enter “0000” (4 Zeros).
�Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear a beep.
�After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-800.
�If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset
must be placed in Pairing Mode.
�If the headset is in Pairing mode for three minutes without being
connected to a handset, the HBM-800 will automatically turn off.
2) Manual Pairing
�With the Power off, press and hold the PWR button for 5 seconds.
�When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show
a solid blue light.
�Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or
“add” new devices.
�
Select “LG HBM-800” from the list of devices and pair it with your Handset.
�When asked for the Pass/Pin code during the pairing procedure,
please enter “0000” (4 Zeros)
�Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear a beep.

�If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset

Calling
Answering a call
- When there is an incoming call, the Headset will ring.
- Briefly press the CALL button to answer an incoming call.
Making a call
- If you make a call from the handset, the call will (subject to handset
settings) automatically transfer to the Headset. If the call is not
automatically transferred, you can manually transfer the call by briefly
pressing the CALL button on the HBM-800 (handset and headset
must be paired).
Voice dialing*
- Briefly press the CALL button to activate “Voice Command”. You will get
the best results if you record the voice dialing tag through your Headset.
NOTE: If the handset does not support Voice Dialing, it is possible
that performing this action will activate Last Number redial.
Last number redial*
- Press and hold the CALL button for 1second to activate “Last Number
Redial”. The Headset will beep, and call the last number dialed.
Ending a call
- Briefly press the CALL button.
Transferring a call*
- While on a call on your handset, briefly press the CALL button to transfer
the audio to the Headset.(Headset and handset must be paired).
- And to transfer a call from the Headset to handset, press and hold
VOLUME UP button on the HBM-800 headset for 5 seconds.
How to use Headset
- Press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button to adjust the
speaker volume.
- You will hear an alert beep tone when the volume is at the maximum
or minimum level.
Auto Reconnect
- When the HBM-800 turns off (accidentally or intentionally) while
connected to a handset, the headset and handset will disconnect.
The Headset and handset will automatically reconnect when the HBM-
800 is turned back on.(as long as both devices are within the required
range of 33ft. or 10m)
[ Out of range ]
- When the HBM-800 and your handset are separated by a distance of
33 feet (10 meters) or more, the Headset and handset will disconnect.
When the handset and HBM-800 are brought back within the required
distance, the HBM-800 will automatically reconnect with the handset.
- If the Headset and handset do not automatically reconnect when they
are back within the required range, briefly press the CALL button on
the HBM-800 to reconnect manually.

How to use Headset
Call waiting*
- Answer a second call without hanging up the first call by pressing the
CALL button for 1second. Press the CALL button for 1second to return
to the original call.
- Briefly press the CALL button to terminate the active call or both calls
at once. (subject to handset's support)
Call Reject*
- Activate Call Reject by pressing the CALL button for 1second when
the headset rings.
*It is possible to use these functions only when your handset supports
them. For further information about using these features, please
consult your handset's user manual.

Multipoint
The LG HBM-800 is capable of having two handsets connected to the
Headset at the same time. This will give you the freedom of having only
one Headset to operate both of your handsets.
Multipoint Connect
- Pair the Headset with one of your Bluetooth-enabled handsets.
(Refer to the pairing instructions on pages 5-6).
- Turn off the Headset.
- With the power off, press and hold the PWR button on the HBM-800
for 5 seconds to enter Manual Pairing mode.
- Now, pair and connect the Headset with your other Bluetooth-enabled
handset. (This will be your Primary handset).
- Once this handset is paired and connected, go back and connect the
first paired handset to Headset. (This process should be done through
your handset's Bluetooth menu)
* Note: When the HBM-800 is connected to two handsets at the same
time (Multipoint), the Headset calling functions will work with
the most recently used handset.
Calling Functions
- Voice Dial and Last Number Redial features work with the Primary
handset. (most recently used handset).
- The first connected device is set as primary handset and the next
connected device is set as secondary handset.
- The device which made the last outgoing call will always be set as
the primary handset.

- Remove the cover on the charging port and connect the charger.
- The LED indicator will show a solid red light.
- It takes 2 hours to fully charge the Cradle.
- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.
Volume control
- Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds.
- Press and Hold the MFB for 3 seconds.
�The power will turn on and a booting tone will play.
- Press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button to adjust the speaker
volume.
- There are eight levels of speaker volume.
- You will hear an alert tone when the volume is at the maximum or
minimum level.
How to use Headset
- To answer an incoming call on your secondary handset, while on a call
on your primary handset, hang-up the active-call (briefly press the CALL
button) and then answer the incoming-call (briefly press the CALL button
again).

Using HBM-800 as a Hands Free Kit
Calling
- Please use the MFB to activate all calling functions, when using the
HBM-800 as a hands free kit. The MFB acts the same as the CALL
button on the headset.
- All calling functions are the same as the headset calling functions.
- When the headset is attached to the cradle, the headset CALL button is
deactivated, and will not work.
- Call Transfer is NOT supported when using the cradle as a hands free kit
- Once the headset is attached to the cradle, all audio will be played
through the cradle.
Microphone Mute/Unmute
- While on a call. press and hold Volume Down button for 5 seconds to
mute/unmute the MIC
- To use the HBM-800 as a Hands Free Kit,

Remember, in order to make or receive calls, the Headset and the electronic
device connected to the Headset must be switched on and in a service area with
adequate mobile signal strength. Emergency calls may not be possible on all
cellular phone networks or when certain network services and/or phone features
are in use. Check with your local service provider.
4. Battery information
A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly. A new battery or
one that has not been used for a long period of time could have reduced capacity
the first few times it is used. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures,
never above +60。(+140。F) or under -20。(-4。F). For maximum battery capacity,
use the battery in room temperature. If the battery is used in low temperatures, the
battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be charged in temperatures
between +10。(+50。F) and + 45。(+113。F). For your safety, do not remove the
battery incorperated in the product. If you need to replace the battery, take it to
the nearest authorised LG Electronics service point or dealer for assistance.
5. Recycling the battery in your Bluetooth® Headset
The battery in your Bluetooth®Headset must be disposed of properly and should
never be placed in municipal waste. The LG Electronics service partner removing
battery will dispose of it according to local regulations.
6. Conditions
- The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser
by the dealer, specifying the date of purchase and serial number, is presented
with the product to be repaired or replaced. LG Electronics reserves the right to
refuse warranty service if this information has been removed or changed after
the original purchase of the product from the dealer.
- If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or replaced
product shall be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period
or for ninety (90) days from the date of repair, whichever is longer. Repair or
replacement may involve the use of functionally equivalent reconditioned units.
Replaced parts or components will become the property of LG Electronics.
- This Warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to normal wear and
tear, or due to misuse, including but not limited to use in other than the normal
and customary manner, in accordance with instructions for use and maintenance

1. Radio frequency exposure
This Bluetooth®Headset, HBM-800, is a radio transmitter and receiver.
When in operation, it communicates with a Bluetooth®equipped mobile device
by receiving and transmitting radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields
(microwaves) in the frequency range 2.4 to 2.4835 GHz. The output power of
the radio transmitter is low, 0.001 watt. Your Bluetooth®Headset is designed to
operate in compliance with the RF exposure guidelines and limits set by national
authorities and international health agencies when used any compatible LG
Electronics mobile phone.
2. Potentially explosive atmosphere
Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially explosive
atmosphere. It is rare, but your electronic device could generate sparks.
Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury
or even death. Areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere are often, but not
always, clearly marked.
3.Emergency calls
IMPORTANT!
This Bluetooth®Headset and the electronic device connected to the Headset
operate using radio signals, mobile and landline networks as well as user -
programmed functions, which cannot guarantee connection under all conditions.

Avoiding hearing damage Permanent hearing loss may occur if you use your
headset at a high volume. Set the volume to a safe level. You can adapt over
time to a higher volume of sound that may sound normal but can be damaging
to your hearing. If you experience ringing in your ears or muffled speech, stop
listening and have your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the less time
is required before your hearing could be affected. Hearing experts suggest that
to protect your hearing:
�Limit the amount of time you use headset at high volume.
�Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
�Turn the volume down if you can't hear people speaking near you.
Please refer to your handset user guide for more information on how to adjust
listening levels on your handset.
Using headsets safely Use of headsets to listen to music while operating a
vehicle is not recommended and is illegal in some areas. Be careful and attentive
while driving. Stop using this device if you find it disruptive or distracting while
operating any type of vehicle or performing any other activity that requires your
full attention.

del HBM-800 (el terminal y el auricular deben estar asociados).
Marcar por voz*
- Presione brevemente el botón de llamada para activar el comando de voz.
Obtendrá mejores resultados si graba el identificador de marcado por voz
con el auricular.
NOTA: Si el terminal no es compatible con el marcado por voz, es posible
que, con esta acción, se active la función para volver a llamar al
último número que marcó.
Volver a marcar el último número*
- Mantenga presionado el botón de llamada durante 1 segundo a fin de
activar la función para volver a llamar al último número marcado.
El terminal emitirá un sonido y llamará al último número que marcó.
Finalizar una llamada
- Presione brevemente el botón de llamada.
Transferir una llamada*
- Durante una llamada usando el teléfono, presione brevemente el botón
de llamada para transferir el audio al auricular. (El teléfono y el auricular
deben estar asociados).

Reconexión automática
- Si el HBM-800 se apaga (deliberada o accidentalmente) mientras
está conectado a un terminal, los aparatos se desconectarán. Cuando
se vuelva a encender el auricular, el HBM-800 y el terminal volverán
a conectarse automáticamente (siempre que ambos dispositivos se
encuentren dentro del radio de alcance necesario de 33 pies o 10 m).
Control de volumen
- Con los botones para subir y bajar el volumen, ajuste el volumen del audífono.
- Escuchará un tono de aviso de alerta cuando el volumen esté en el nivel
máximo o mínimo.

- Cuando el HBM-800 y el terminal están separados a una distancia de
33 pies (10 metros) o más, se desconectarán. Si se los vuelve a poner

del radio de alcance necesario, presione brevemente el botón de

presionado el botón para subir el volumen del auricular HBM-800 durante
5 segundos.
Llamada en espera*
- Atienda una segunda llamada sin cortar la llamada en curso, presionando
el botón de llamada durante 1 segundo. Vuelva a presionar el botón de
llamada durante 1 segundo y volverá a la llamada original. Presione
brevemente el botón de llamada para finalizar ambas llamadas al mismo
tiempo. (sujeto a la compatibilidad del terminal)
Rechazar una llamada*
- Active la función para rechazar una llamada presionando el botón de
llamada por 1 segundo mientras esté sonando el terminal.
*Estas funciones sólo se pueden usar si el terminal las admite.

Modo de uso de la base
Multipunto
El auricular HBM-800 de LG puede tener conectados dos terminales al
mismo tiempo. Así, usted disfrutará de la libertad de usar un solo auricular
con sus dos terminales.
Conexión multipunto
- Empareje el auricular con uno de sus terminales compatibles con Bluetooth
(tal como se indica en las instrucciones de emparejamiento de las páginas 5 y 6).
- Apague el auricular.
- Con el auricular apagado, mantenga presionado el botón de encendido del
HBM-800 durante 5 segundos para pasar al modo de emparejamiento manual.
- Luego, proceda a emparejar y conectar el auricular con el otro terminal
compatible con Bluetooth (éste será su terminal principal).
- Una vez que este terminal esté emparejado y conectado, retroceda y
conecte el primer terminal que emparejó con el auricular (éste será su

* Nota: Cuando el auricular HBM-800 esté conectado a dos terminales al
mismo tiempo (multipunto), las funciones de llamada del auricular
comandarán el terminal que se haya usado más recientemente.
Funciones de llamada
- Las funciones para marcar por voz y volver a marcar el último número
se dirigirán al terminal principal (el terminal que se haya usado último).
- El dispositivo que haya conectado primero se establece como terminal
principal y el dispositivo que haya conectado después se establece como
terminal secundario.
- El dispositivo con el que haya realizado la última llamada saliente siempre
estará establecido como terminal principal.
Batería baja

- Se oirá un tono de batería baja cada 30 segundos.
- Si la batería no está cargada, el soporte de conexión se apagará.
Carga
- Retire la cubierta del puerto de carga y conecte el cargador.
- El indicador LED quedará encendido en color rojo.
- Cargar completamente la base lleva dos horas.
- Al completarse la carga, el indicador LED se apagará.

- Mantenga presionado el botón multifunción durante 3 segundos.

Llamadas

5. Reciclado de la batería del auricular Bluetooth®
La batería del auricular Bluetooth®debe desecharse con el procedimiento adecuado
y nunca debe arrojarse al basurero municipal. Los encargados de servicio técnico
autorizado de LG Electronics que extraigan baterías las desecharán de acuerdo

6. Condiciones

Este auricular Bluetooth®, el HBM-800, es un transmisor y receptor de radio.

Reducción de la capacidad auditiva: Si usa el auricular con un nivel de volumen
alto, podría sufrir hipoacusia permanente. Establezca el volumen en un nivel inocuo.

parecer normal, pero que quizá dañe su capacidad auditiva. Si le zumban los oídos
o siente que los sonidos le llegan medio apagados, no use el dispositivo y consulte

antes de que el sentido del oído pueda quedar afectado. Algunos expertos en
audición sugieren que, para proteger el sentido del oído, se debe:

�Evitar subir el volumen para contrarrestar excesos de ruido ambiente.
