LED light therapy, also called phototherapy, has a wide variety of applications and
health benefits. Physical therapists and doctors use light therapy to help people
safely recover from injury, decrease pain, and improve performance. Phototherapy
is a highly-effective, non-invasive, chemical-free way to safely and painlessly repair
and rejuvenate your skin, as well as reduce pain and inflammation throughout the
body.
With the Lifepro LumiCure Pro Light Therapy Torch, you can experience myriad
therapeutic benefits from the comfort of your own home. It's perfect for anyone
who experiences stiffness or pain in their muscles or joints. It's also great for
performance recovery and reducing inflammation. Just a 2- to 3-minute session
each day can provide excellent pain relief. The LumiCure Pro can be used almost

Five safe, non-UV light wavelengths provide a wide spectrum of healing:
• Red light (630nm and 660nm) improves blood circulation and boosts collagen
and elastin production, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles up
to 35%. Red light therapy also tightens pores, smooths skin tone, and reduces

FIRST STEPS
1. Remove the LumiCure Pro from the shipping box and remove all
packaging from the unit and accessories.
2. Inspect the device and accessories for shipping damage.
3. Go to lumicurepro.lifeprofitness.com and register your product within
14 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranty.
4. Read carefully through this user manual and all safety instructions
before using the LumiCure Pro.
5. Perform a skin sensitivity test following the instructions on page 6.
6. Complete the steps in the EASY-START SETUP GUIDE on page 7 to
begin using the LumiCure Pro.

TESTING FOR SKIN SENSITIVITY
Before your first treatment, it is important to perform a skin sensitivity
test to ensure you won’t experience any adverse reactions to light therapy.
To do a sensitivity test:
1. Put on the protective eyeglasses.
2. Hold the LumiCure Pro against your inner arm, with the LEDs against
your skin.
3. Press the On/Off button to turn on the LumiCure Pro and
automatically begin a treatment program in mode 1. Allow the entire
3-minute treatment program to run.
4. If your skin feels uncomfortable or hot at any point during the test
treatment, stop using the LumiCure Pro immediately.
5. Wait at least 6 hours after the sensitivity test. If your skin becomes
red and/or itchy, you may be sensitive light therapy and you should not
continue to use the LumiCure Pro.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Do not use this product if you are, suspect you may be, or are planning
to become pregnant, or if you are, or plan to begin, breast feeding.
• Do not use this product if you have cancer or suspect you may have
cancerous lesions.
• Consult your physician before using this product if you:
• Take steroid medication or receive steroid injections, if you recently
had surgery, skin filler injections, or if you have a tattoo in the
treatment area.
• Have a condition that may make you sensitive to light or sunlight,
such as Lupus, some forms of eczema, light-induced migraines,
albinism, rosacea.
• Take medication that makes you sensitive to sunlight, including some
antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, and diuretics.
• Use products that may cause photosensitivity, such as citrus
essential oils, St. John’s Wart, antibacterial soap, coal tar and
petroleum products.

TIPS FOR USE
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Always wear the protective eyeglasses to protect your eyes while using
the LumiCure Pro.
• Do not use on or near the eyes or eyelids.
• Keep the LumiCure Pro and accessories away from heat sources and
fire. Never use the LumiCure Pro under a blanket or pillow. Excessive
heat can potentially cause fire, electrocution, or injury to people or
property.
• The LumiCure Pro and accessories are not waterproof. Keep away from
liquids, and do not immerse in water.
• Never use the device with wet hands. Never plug in or unplug the
battery charger with wet hands.
• Always power off the LumiCure Pro after each use.
USING THE LUMICURE PRO
• The recommended treatment time is 1–3 minutes per area. To avoid
overheating, do not use the LumiCure Pro continuously for more
than 3 minutes, and wait at least 1 to 2 minutes after 3 minutes of
continuous use before using the LumiCure Pro again on another body
part.
• Wait at least 5 hours between treatment sessions on the same area of
the body.
• While the LumiCure Pro may be used over clothing, use over clean, bare
skin for best results.
• Hold the LumiCure Pro on the skin to treat deep pain and up to 1 inch
away to treat superficial pain.
• Be sure to remove any jewelry and accessories from the area to be
treated, including rings, belts, necklaces, and bracelets, before using
the LumiCure Pro.
• The battery should be removed for storage or travel.
• Use the LumiCure Pro daily for optimal results.

CHARGING THE BATTERIES
• Insert a battery in the battery charger, according to the
polarity markings in the battery compartment.
• Plug the battery charger into a standard wall outlet. The
Indicator LED will turn red.
• When the battery is fully charged, remove it from the
charger.
NOTE: When fully charged, the status indicator LED will
turn green.

to be treated, including rings, belts, necklaces, and bracelets, before
using the LumiCure Pro.
FLASHING LIGHT WARNING: 10 Hz pulsed light may affect
users who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other
photo-sensitivities. If you or anyone in your household has ever had
symptoms related to epilepsy (seizures or loss of consciousness)
when exposed to flashing lights, consult your physician before using
the device.
If you, or anyone in your household, experience symptoms while using
this device, such as dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching,
loss of consciousness, disorientation, involuntary movements or
convulsions, stop using the device IMMEDIATELY and consult your
physician.
WARNING: Always wear the protective eyeglasses while using the
LumiCure Pro to protect your eyes. Never look directly into the LED
lights without the protective eyeglasses as this can damage your eyes.
While near-infrared (NIR) light is not visible to the naked eye, it can be
particularly harmful for your eyes.
WARNING: Do not use the device on or near your eyes or eyelids.
INSERTING A BATTERY
• Unplug the battery charger and remove the battery.
• Unscrew the top of the LumiCure Pro.
• Insert the charged battery into the LumiCure Pro with the
positive (+) end pointing up.
• Screw the top of the LumiCure Pro back on.
PREPARING TO USE THE LUMICURE PRO
• Perform a skin sensitivity test. See TESTING FOR SKIN
SENSITIVITY on page 6.
• Remove any jewelry or accessories from the treatment
area.
• Find a comfortable sofa or chair. You may also wish to grab
a pillow to ensure your treatment session is comfortable.
USING THE LUMICURE PRO
• Put on the protective eyeglasses.
• Press the On/Off button to turn on the LumiCure Pro. See
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS on the following pages for
details.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the operating instructions before using
the LumiCure Pro. Keep this manual for reference.
CHARGING THE BATTERIES
1. Insert a battery into battery charger according
to the polarity markings on the inside of the
charger: negative (-) end nearest the LED
indicator.
2. Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
The status indicator LED will turn red.
3. Allow the battery to charge.
4. When the battery is fully charged, unplug the
charger and remove the battery.
CHARGING NOTES:
• When a battery is inserted into the battery
charger, if any charge remains in the battery the
status indicator LED will turn green.
• During charging, the status indicator is red.
• When the battery is fully charged, the status
indicator LED will turn solid green.
• It takes about 4–5 hours to fully charge a battery from empty.
• Full-charge is not required for use.
INSERTING A CHARGED BATTERY
1. Hold the base of the LumiCure Pro and unscrew
the top section of the torch with your other hand.
2. Insert the battery into the battery compartment
with the positive (+) end at the top as shown.
3. Screw the top section back on.
NOTE: The average run-time is 3–4 hours of use-time
per charge.

ATTACHING THE WRIST STRAP
1. Find the thin cord at the end of the
wrist strap.
2. Insert the thin cord into the small
wrist strap hole at the base of the
torch, and pull it through.
3. Insert the thick end of the wrist strap
through the thin-cord loop.
4. Pull the thick end of the wrist strap
through the loop to secure it.

USING THE LUMICURE PRO LIGHT THERAPY TORCH
1. Put on the protective eyeglasses.
2. Position the LumiCure Pro over the area to be treated, ensuring
the LED lights are touching or within 1 inch of your skin.
3. Press the On/Off button to turn on the device and select mode 1.
Press the button twice for mode 2, press three times for mode 3,
four times for mode 4, etc. See CHOOSING A MODE on page 14
for information about each mode.
4. Treatment time will vary depending on your pain level. The default
duration is 3 minutes. Refer to the chart on the next page to
determine your treatment time and frequency.
5. Press and hold the On/Off button for 3–5 seconds to turn off the
device at any time. The LumiCure Pro will automatically shut off
after 3 minutes.
6. Always power off the LumiCure Pro after each use.
NOTE: Do not operate the device continuously for longer than
3 minutes. If you wish to treat multiple body parts consecutively, turn
off the LumiCure Pro for at least 1 minute between each 3-minute
treatment session to prevent it from overheating.

DETERMINING TREATMENT FREQUENCY AND DURATION
The length of your treatment time and the frequency of treatment
will depend on the intensity of pain you are treating:

To adjust the depth and intensity of the treatment, hold the
LumiCure Pro at different distances from the treatment area:
• To treat deep tissues such as muscles, joints (knees, shoulders,
elbows, ankles), and organs: hold the LumiCure Pro directly against
the skin.
• To treat small joints, like fingers: hold the LumiCure Pro about a
½ inch away from the area to be treated.
• To treat superficial pain or skin wounds: hold the LumiCure Pro
about 1 inch away from the area to be treated.

CHOOSING A MODE
WHAT IS 10HZ PULSED LIGHT THERAPY?
Pulsed light therapy is phototherapy that uses rapid pulses of
light to produce improved results. The light rapidly turns on and
off at a particular frequency (for example 10Hz). The frequency
is a measure of the pause between one "on" time and the next.
With 10Hz pulsed light therapy, the light pulses on and off
10 times per second.
Emerging research shows that the short pause between light
pulses encourages cells to regenerate more efficiently, meaning
pulsed light has a greater effect on cell regeneration and
recovery.
Modes 1–4 use continuous waves of light. Modes 5–8 use 10Hz
pulsed light therapy. In modes 5–8, the LED lights will emit rapid
pulses of red, near‑infrared, or blue light, depending on the mode
selected.
3-3-3 PAIN-TREATMENT PLAN
Commit to a 3-week treatment plan with the LumiCure Pro. You
could see pain-relief results sooner, or even immediately, but full
benefits may not be achieved until you have completed three weeks
of treatment. Be patient and consistent, using the LumiCure Pro for
3 minutes per area, up to 3 times a day, for a full 3 weeks.
Do not stop your other pain-relief treatments (especially any
prescribed medication) abruptly when you begin light therapy
treatment, even when you begin to feel results. If you feel significant
improvement after 3–4 weeks of treatment, discuss future pain
management options with your doctor or therapist.

thunder storms. Unplug charger immediately in the event of a power failure.

near-infrared light consult with their physician before using the device. Do not use to
treat severe wounds.
25. Do not stop your traditional pain treatment without first discussing with your physician

26. Never leave the LumiCure Pro unattended while it is plugged in or running.

28. Do not sit or stand on the LumiCure Pro. Do not exert excessive downward force on the
device, accessories, or charger.
29. Do not wear jewelry or accessories on the area to be treated with the LumiCure Pro.
CLEANING, STORAGE, AND MAINTENANCE
30. We recommend using the torch over clean clothing or skin to keep the torch clean.
31. Turn off, unplug, and allow the LumiCure Pro to cool down before cleaning or storing.
32. Wipe down the device and protective eyeglasses with the included cleaning cloth, or
other soft, dry cloth, after each use.
33. Never allow water or other liquids to come into contact with the unit or battery
charger.
34. Do not use abrasive, corrosive, solvent, or chemical cleaners or harsh detergents.
35. Store the LumiCure Pro in its box to prevent damage to the torch.
36. Store the device inside the carrying case in a cool, dry location. Do not store close to
the ground, walls, or roof. Do not store other objects on top of the torch.
37. If the device will not be used for over a month, remove the battery before storing.
38. Do not attempt to disassemble the device.

Q: WHAT IS LIGHT THERAPY?
A: Light therapy, also called phototherapy, is a therapy that uses
wavelengths of light to treat at the surface and below the surface
of the skin. Different wavelengths of light are absorbed by the body
in different ways and therefore offer a wide range of benefits. Light
therapy is a highly-effective non-invasive, chemical-free therapy that
can be used to safely and painlessly heal and rejuvenate many parts
of the body.
See CHOOSING A MODE on page 14 for information about the
wavelengths used in each mode, as well as the benefits provided by
each.
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RED LIGHT AND NEAR-
INFRARED LIGHT THERAPY?
A: Both red and near-infrared light are wavelengths on the
electromagnetic spectrum. Red light wavelengths, 600–700 nm
(nanometers), are absorbed at a high rate by the body's cells,
particularly the mitochondria, which use the red light to make
energy, which stimulates cell regeneration and repair. Near-infrared

A: The benefits of red light therapy and near-infrared (NIR) therapy are
very similar, though red light therapy treats cells at the surface of the
skin and near-infrared therapy treats cells up to 1.5 inches below the

Q: WHAT IS PULSED LIGHT THERAPY?
A: Pulsed light therapy is phototherapy that uses rapid pulses of
light to produce improved results. The light rapidly turns on and
off at a particular frequency (for example 10Hz). The frequency
is a measure of the pause between one "on" time and the next.

With 10Hz pulsed light therapy, the light pulses on and off
10 times per second.
Emerging research shows that the short pause between light pulses
encourages cells to regenerate more efficiently, meaning pulsed light
has a greater effect on cell regeneration and recovery.
Modes 1–4 use continuous waves of light. Modes 5–8 use 10Hz pulsed
light therapy. In modes 5–8, the LED lights will emit rapid pulses of red,
near-infrared, or blue light, depending on the mode selected.
Q: HOW DOES NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT THERAPY HELP LOSE FAT
AND INCHES?
A: Near-infrared (NIR) light can reach fat cells up to 1.5 inches below
the surface of the skin. NIR wavelengths help breakdown stubborn
fat cells, allowing them to enter the bloodstream and from there be
eliminated via the body's normal waste-removal processes.
Q: WHERE CAN I USE THE LUMICURE PRO?
A: The LumiCure Pro can be used to treat any area of the body except
on or over the eyes. Hold the LumiCure Pro on the skin to treat deep
pain and up to 1 inch away to treat superficial pain.
Never use the LumiCure Pro on, near, or over your eyes, as the lights
can damage your eyes. If you want to safely experience the benefits of
phototherapy on your face, check out the VizaCure Light Therapy Mask
on pages 27 of this manual.
Q: HOW OFTEN CAN I USE THE LUMICURE PRO?
A: The recommended treatment time is 1–3 minutes per area. To
avoid overheating, do not use the LumiCure Pro continuously for more
than 3 minutes, and wait at least 1 to 2 minutes after 3 minutes of
continuous use before using the LumiCure Pro again on another body
part. Wait at least 5 hours between treatment sessions on the same
body area.
Q: SHOULD I WEAR CLOTHING OVER THE TREATMENT AREA?
A: For red light therapy to work most effectively, it is best to use the
LumiCure Pro directly against your skin. However, you may use the
device over light cotton clothing, if desired.
Q: CAN I USE THE LUMICURE PRO ON MY PET?
A: Yes, your pet can also take advantage of the therapeutic benefits
of the LumiCure Pro. The LumiCure Pro can help your pet find relief
from chronic joint pain or stubborn sores, and reduce inflammation.
We recommend starting your pet off with 1–2 minute treatments. Take
care not to shine the LED lights in your pet's eyes.
Q: HOW DO I CLEAN THE LUMICURE PRO?
A: Wipe down the device with the included cleaning cloth, or other soft,
dry cloth, after each use. Never allow water or other liquids to come
into contact with the device. Do not use abrasive, corrosive, solvent, or
chemical cleaners or harsh detergents. Make sure to turn off and allow
the LumiCure Pro to cool down before cleaning.
Q: HOW SHOULD I STORE THE LUMICURE PRO?
A: Always store the LumiCure Pro in its box to prevent damaging the
device. Store the device in a cool, dry location. Do not store close to the
ground, walls, or roof. Do not store other objects on top of the device
as it could be crushed or damaged.
Q: WHO SHOULD NOT USE THE LUMICURE PRO?
A: Women who are pregnant, people who have cancer, and people
who suspect they may have cancerous lesions should not use the
LumiCure Pro.
Consult your physician before using the LumiCure Pro if you take
steroid medication or receive steroid injections, if you take medication
