Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY USB 2.0 Cat.5 100m UTP Extender. The USB
Cat.5 Extender is composed of a transmitting and receiving unit, and enables any USB
host device to send data up to 100 metres by use of a UTP network cable. By adding
an additional USB Hub several USB devices can be connected.

Installation
Transmitter:
• Plug the USB A plug of the Transmitter into a USB A female port of your PC or
laptop
• Connect a Cat.5 (or higher) UTP cable up to 100 metres long with the other end
connected to the RJ45 port on the Receiver (see below)
Receiver:
• Connect your USB device such as keyboard, mouse, printer, webcam, hard disk
drive etc. with a standard USB cable to the USB A female port
• Power DC 5V Jack: Plug the supplied 5V 4A DC power supply into the unit and
connect the adaptor to an AC wall outlet.
• Connect a Cat.5/5e/6 UTP cable up to 100 metres long with the other end
connected to the RJ45 port on the Transmitter (see above)

Einleitung
Vielen Dank für den Kauf des LINDY USB 2.0 Cat.5 100m UTP Extenders. Dieser
besteht aus einer Sende- und Empfangseinheit und ermöglicht es einem USB Host bei
Verwendung eines UTP-Netzwerkkabels Daten über eine Distanz von bis zu 100
Metern zu senden. Durch Anschluss eines Hubs können mehrere USB-Geräte
betrieben werden.

Installation
Sender:
• Stecken Sie den USB A Stecker der Sendeeinheit in eine USB A Buchse Ihres
PCs bzw. Notebooks
• Stecken Sie ein Cat.5/5e/6-Kabel (bis zu 100m lang) in die RJ45-Buchse und
verbinden Sie es mit der RJ45-Buchse der Empfangseinheit (siehe unten)
Empfänger:
• Verbinden Sie Ihr USB Gerät (z.B. Tastatur, Maus, Drucker, Webcam, Festplatte)
unter Verwendung eines Standard USB Kabels mit der USB A Buchse
• Buchse DC 5V für das Netzteil: Stecken Sie das beiliegende Netzteil (DC5V 4A) in
die Buchse der Empfangseinheit und stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose
• Schließen Sie ein max. 100m langes Cat.5/5e

Introduction
Merci d’avoir acheté l’extender LINDY USB 2.0 cat.5 100m UTP. Cet extender cat.5 est
composé d’un boîtier émetteur et récepteur, et permet à n’importe quel périphérique
USB d’émettre des données jusqu’à 100m via un câble réseau UTP. En ajoutant un hub
USB au boîtier récepteur de l’extender, plusieurs appareils USB peuvent être
connectés.

Installation
Emetteur :
• Connectez la prise USB type A du boîtier émetteur dans une prise USB type A
femelle de votre ordinateur
• Connectez un câble réseau UTP cat.5 (ou supérieur, pas de câble réseau FTP ! ),
jusqu’à 100m de long, à la prise RJ45 du boîtier récepteur
Récepteur :
• Connectez votre périphérique USB (clavier, souris, imprimante, webcam, disque
dur, etc) avec un câble USB standard dans la prise USB type A femelle
• Prise d’alimentation DC 5V : connectez l’alimentation fournie 5V 4A DC.
• Connectez un câble réseau UTP cat.5/5e/6, jusqu’à 100m, au port RJ45 du boîtier
récepteur

compost da un trasmettitore e da un ricevitore, e consente qualsiasi dispositivo USB di
inviare dati fino a 100m di distanza tramite un cavo di rete standard UTP cat.5.
Utilizzando un Hub USB (non incluso) è anche possibile connettere più dispositivi USB
alla stessa linea.

Installazione
Trasmettitore:
• Inserite il connettore USB tipo A del trasmettitore in una porta USB libera del
vostro PC o Laptop
• Collegate il cavo Cat.5 (o superiore) UTP lungo fino a 100 metri alla porta RJ45
Ricevitore:
• Collegate il vostro dispositivo USB (come tastiere, mouse, stampanti, Hard Disk
Esterni, ecc…) con un cavo USB standard alla porta USB tipo A femmina del
ricevitore
• Presa di alimentazione DC 5V: Collegate il connettore DC dell’alimentatore alla
relativa porta sull’unità remota dell’extender e poi collegate l’alimentatore stesso
ad una presa di corrente.
• Collegate l’altro capo del cavo Cat.5/5e/6 UTP già connesso al trasmettitore alla
porta RJ45 del ricevitore

Recycling of Electronic Products
Europe, United Kingdom
In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste
electrical and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and
electronic equipment. Instead, these products must enter the recycling process.
Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly
different ways. Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic
products. More details can be obtained from your national WEEE recycling agency.
Germany / Deutschland
Die Europäische Union hat mit der WEEE Direktive Regelungen für die Verschrottung und das Recycling
von Elektro- und Elektronikprodukten geschaffen. Diese wurden im Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz
– ElektroG in deutsches Recht umgesetzt. Dieses Gesetz verbietet das Entsorgen von entsprechenden,
auch alten, Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten über die Hausmülltonne! Diese Geräte müssen den lokalen
Sammelsystemen bzw. örtlichen Sammelstellen zugeführt werden! Dort werden sie kostenlos entgegen
genommen. Die Kosten für den weiteren Recyclingprozess übernimmt die Gesamtheit der
