Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the USB 3.0 Sharing Switch 2:4. This product has been designed to provide
trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime technical
support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
The Lindy USB 3.0 Sharing Switch 2:4 allows up to 2 users to share up to 4 USB 3.0 peripheral devices
without the need to repeatedly swap cables or set up complicated network sharing software. The active
computer port can be selected by push button. The switch is ideal for sharing a printer, storage device or
webcam in office environments. It also allows to share a conference room presentation system like Barco
Clickshare between two users. The USB 3.0 Sharing Switch features a 3.5mm Audio output port for
connecting speakers or headphones.
The USB 3.0 Sharing Switch is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices and supports
all USB Type A equipped computers - perfect for use with multiple PCs or Macs. The Sharing Switch
features a USB Type C socket for an optional power supply (not included).

Connect a headphone or speaker
DEVICES Connect up to four USB Type A peripheral devices
Connect the USB 3.0 Sharing Switch to your host computers with the included two 1.2m USB 5Gbps
Type A cables (Male/Male).
Then connect the USB 3.0 Sharing Switch to up to four USB peripheral devices.
A speaker or headphones can be connected to the 3.5mm Audio output port.
Power up your computers and the peripheral devices. The device will now be ready to switch
between computers.
Connect a USB Type C power supply (not included) to the USB Type C socket of the switch if more
power is needed.
To switch peripheral devices between computers simply press the button on top of the USB 3.0
Sharing Switch.
The LED colour of the button of the USB Switch will indicate which computer is currently accessing
the peripheral devices: Red colour is Host 1, blue colour ist Host 2.
Please note:
The maximum cable length between the USB 3.0 Sharing Switch and peripheral devices or the
Switch and a computer is 2m.
Do not switch to a computer that is in the process of booting.
Computers must be “awake” before it is possible to switch to them.
 Before switching ensure that the attached USB device is not in use – read/writing discs, printing etc .

Der Lindy USB 3.0 Sharing Switch 2:4 ermöglicht 2 Usern die gemeinsame Verwendung von bis zu 4 USB

Schließen Sie den USB 3.0 Sharing Switch mit den beiden mitgelieferten 1,2 m langen USB 5Git/s
Typ-A-Kabeln (Stecker/Stecker) an Ihre Host-Computer an.
Verbinden Sie dann den USB 3.0 Sharing Switch mit bis zu vier USB-Peripheriegeräten.

Connectez le commutateur de partage USB 3.0 à vos ordinateurs hôtes à l'aide des deux câbles USB

Les ordinateurs doivent être "actifs" avant qu'il ne soit possible de basculer dessus.

Collegare lo Switch di condivisione USB 3.0 ai computer host con i due cavi USB 5Gbps di tipo
A (maschio/maschio) da 1,2 m inclusi.
Collegare quindi lo Switch di condivisione USB 3.0 a un massimo di quattro periferiche USB.
Alla porta di uscita audio da 3,5 mm è possibile collegare un altoparlante o delle cuffie.
Accendere i computer e le periferiche. Il dispositivo è ora pronto per passare da un computer
all'altro.
Collegare un alimentatore USB di tipo C (non incluso) alla presa USB di tipo C dello switch se
è necessaria una maggiore potenza.
Per passare le periferiche da un computer all'altro è sufficiente premere il pulsante sulla parte
superiore dello Switch di condivisione USB 3.0.
Il colore del LED del pulsante dello switch USB indica quale computer sta accedendo alle

Conecte el conmutador para compartir USB 3.0 a sus ordenadores host con los dos cables USB
5Gbps Tipo A (Macho/Macho) de 1,2 m incluidos.

Das Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz (ElektroG) enthält eine Vielzahl von Anforderungen an den
Umgang mit Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten. Die wichtigsten sind hier zusammengestellt.
1. Bedeutung des Symbols „durchgestrichene Mülltonne“
Das auf Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten regelmäßig abgebildete Symbol einer durchgestrichenen
Mülltonne weist darauf hin, dass das jeweilige Gerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer getrennt vom
unsortierten Siedlungsabfall zu erfassen ist.
2. Getrennte Erfassung von Altgeräten
Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte, die zu Abfall geworden sind, werden als Altgeräte bezeichnet. Besitzer von
Altgeräten haben diese einer vom unsortierten Siedlungsabfall getrennten Erfassung zuzuführen.
Altgeräte gehören insbesondere nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern in spezielle Sammel- und
Rückgabesysteme.
3. Batterien und Akkus sowie Lampen
Besitzer von Altgeräten haben Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren, die nicht vom Altgerät umschlossen
sind, sowie Lampen, die zerstörungsfrei aus dem Altgerät entnommen werden können, im Regelfall vor
der Abgabe an einer Erfassungsstelle vom Altgerät zu trennen. Dies gilt nicht, soweit Altgeräte einer
Vorbereitung zur Wiederverwendung unter Beteiligung eines öffentlich-rechtlichen Entsorgungsträgers
zugeführt werden.
4. Möglichkeiten der Rückgabe von Altgeräten
Besitzer von Altgeräten aus privaten Haushalten können diese bei den Sammelstellen der öffentlich-
rechtlichen Entsorgungsträger oder bei den von Herstellern oder Vertreibern im Sinne des ElektroG
eingerichteten Rücknahmestellen unentgeltlich abgeben.
Rücknahmepflichtig sind Geschäfte mit einer Verkaufsfläche von mindestens 400 m² für Elektro- und
Elektronikgeräte sowie diejenigen Lebensmittelgeschäfte mit einer Gesamtverkaufsfläche von mindestens
800 m², die mehrmals pro Jahr oder dauerhaft Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte anbieten und auf dem Markt
bereitstellen. Dies gilt auch bei Vertrieb unter Verwendung von Fernkommunikationsmitteln, wenn die
Lager- und Versandflächen für Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte mindestens 400 m² betragen oder die
gesamten Lager- und Versandflächen mindestens 800 m² betragen. Vertreiber haben die Rücknahme

Die Möglichkeit der unentgeltlichen Rückgabe eines Altgerätes besteht bei rücknahmepflichtigen
Vertreibern unter anderem dann, wenn ein neues gleichartiges Gerät, das im Wesentlichen die gleichen
Funktionen erfüllt, an einen Endnutzer abgegeben wird. Wenn ein neues Gerät an einen privaten Haushalt
ausgeliefert wird, kann das gleichartige Altgerät auch dort zur unentgeltlichen Abholung übergeben
werden; dies gilt bei einem Vertrieb unter Verwendung von Fernkommunikationsmitteln für Geräte der
Kategorien 1, 2 oder 4 gemäß § 2 Abs. 1 ElektroG, nämlich „Wärmeüberträger“, „Bildschirmgeräte“ oder
„Großgeräte“ (letztere mit mindestens einer äußeren Abmessung über 50 Zentimeter). Zu einer
entsprechenden Rückgabe-Absicht werden Endnutzer beim Abschluss eines Kaufvertrages befragt.
Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit der unentgeltlichen Rückgabe bei Sammelstellen der Vertreiber
unabhängig vom Kauf eines neuen Gerätes für solche Altgeräte, die in keiner äußeren Abmessung größer
als 25 Zentimeter sind, und zwar beschränkt auf drei Altgeräte pro Geräteart.
