Purpose
This document outlines the procedures for making outswing door linkage adjustments.
Safety
Read and understand all instructions before installing or operating this product. Adhere to all safety labels.
This manual provides general instructions. Many variables can change the circumstances of the instructions,
i.e., the degree of difficulty, operation and ability of the individual performing the instructions. This
manual cannot begin to plot out instructions for every possibility, but provides the general instructions,
as necessary, for effectively interfacing with the device, product or system. Failure to correctly follow the
provided instructions may result in death, serious personal injury, severe product and/or property damage,
including voiding of the Lippert limited warranty.
Moving parts can pinch, cut or crush. Keep clear and use caution.
Always wear eye protection when performing service, maintenance or installation procedures.
Other safety equipment to consider would be hearing protection, gloves and possibly a full face
shield, depending on the nature of the task.

NOTE: An angled open-end wrench or pliers may be required to rotate the linkage rods to complete
adjustments due to the confined working area.

Procedure
Outswing Door Linkage Adjustments
1. Preliminary outswing door linkage adjustment.
A. Manually position door leaves to a fully opened position.
B. Remove the actuator assembly's cover (Fig. 1A).
I. Using a screwdriver, back out the three slotted fasteners (Fig. 1B) securing the cover.
II. Remove the cover from the actuator assembly (Fig. 1C) and set aside.

C. Using an 9/16" wrench, loosen the jam nuts (Fig. 2A) on the two linkage rods (Fig. 2B) connected
to the teeter arm assembly(Fig. 2C).
NOTE: Linkage rods have ⁄"-24 UNF right hand threads on the ends adjacent to the teeter arm assembly
and ⁄"-24 UNF left hand threads on the ends adjacent to the door pivot arm assemblies.
D. Rotate linkage rods with a 7/16" wrench on the flats (Fig. 2D) to adjust each door leaf to an
approximate angle of 90 degrees from the door opening.

2. Adjust air pressure regulator to obtain consistent, proper opening of the door.
A. Pull the adjustment knob (Fig. 3A) out on the air pressure regulator (Fig. 3B) to unlock thecontrol.

I. Rotate the adjustment knob (Fig. 4A) clockwise to increase pressure and door speed (Fig. 4).
II. Rotate the adjustment knob counterclockwise to decrease pressure and door speed (Fig. 4).
NOTE: If necessary, refer to instructions on the door speed label (Fig. 4B) located on the previously set aside
(step1.B.II.) actuator assembly cover.

B. Push the adjustment knob in (Fig. 5A) to lock the adjustment.
C. Evaluate operation of the bi-fold door's opening action to make sure the following elements
aremet:
I. Bi-fold door fully opens.
II. Bi-fold door opens smoothly—not jerky or noisy.
III. Air exhaust stops when bi-fold door is fully open.

3. Adjust extend flow control (Fig. 6A) to obtain a safe, smooth closing speed.
A. Use an 8 mm wrench to loosen the jam nut (Fig. 6B).
B. Rotate adjustment screw (Fig. 6C):
I. Clockwise to decrease air flow-rate and slow door closing speed.
II. Counterclockwise to increase air flow-rate and door closing speed.
C. Tighten jam nut to lock adjustment.
NOTE: It may be necessary to hold the adjustment screw with a screwdriver while tightening the jam nut
with a wrench to prevent the adjustment from changing.
D. Evaluate operation of the door while closing it. The following elements must be met:
I. Door fully closes.
II. Door closes smoothly—not jerky or noisy and does not slam shut.
III. Air exhaust stops when door is fully closed.

4. Perform final adjustment of door linkage.
A. Use the dashboard control to close the door.
B. Evaluate the position of each door leaf. If either or both door leaves are closing too tightly or
tooloosely:
I. Fully open the bi-fold door.
II. Adjust the linkage rods by rotating them as necessary to correct positioning of each
respective bi-fold door leaf.
a. If the door leaf was too tight, rotate the rod to shorten the linkage for that door leaf.
b. If the door leaf was too loose, rotate the rod to lengthen the linkage for that door leaf.
III. Test the operation again to confirm correct adjustment or repeat as necessary.
C. Tighten all jam nuts securely on both linkage rods when adjustments are complete.
5. Reattach the actuator assembly cover.
A. Place the previously removed cover (step 1.B.ii, Fig. 1A) over the actuator assembly.
B. Using a screwdriver, insert the three previously removed slotted fasteners (step 1.B.i, Fig. 1B);
rotating them clockwise to engage with the spring retainers in the actuator.
