Introduction
This document provides the procedure to install the Lippert
Thin Shade into a Lippert RV entry door with the 711862
Outer Frame/786036 Inner Frame snap-together frame,
or the 387500 Outer Frame/387501 Inner Frame screw-
together frame.

Installation-Snap Frame
1. Unlatch the small levers at the top of the window frame
in a left-to-right direction (Fig.1).
2. Unlatch the levers at the bottom of the frame in a right-to
left direction (Fig.1).
3. If equipped, remove the existing shade from the frame
and discard.
4. Holding the top rail at an approximate 45 degree angle,
insert one end into the corner between the inner frame and
glass (Fig.2A).
5. Repeat this action on the opposite end of the top rail.
6. Press both ends up and latch in place moving levers in a
right-to-left direction.

7. Holding the bottom rail at an approximate 45 degree
angle, insert one end into the corner between the inner and
outer frame (Fig.2B).
8. Repeat this action on the opposite end of the bottom rail.
9. Press both ends down and latch in place, moving levers
in a left-to-right direction.

Installation - Screw-in Frame
NOTE: Door must be equipped with #387501 inner frame.
1. Working from the bottom of the shade, locate the bottom
rail (Fig.3A).
2. Remove end caps.
3. Locate the knots tied at the end of each cord (Fig.3B).

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED
PROCEDURE OF REMOVAL COULD RESULT IN
PERSONAL INJURY FROM BROKEN GLASS OR
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO
REMOVE THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS IN THE ORDER
STATED.
4. Measure ½” up from the existing knot and mark the
cord.
5. Repeat this action on the opposite cord.
6. Create a new knot on both cords, at the marks made in
step 4.
7. Pull bottom rail of shade down to the newly created
knots.
8. Replace end caps.

9. Remove the top 8 Phillips head screws (Fig.4A) from the
interior window frame. Do not discard screws.
10. Gently pull back the top of the frame.
11. If currently equipped, remove the existing window
shade from inside of the interior window frame.
12. Holding the top rail at an approximate 45 degree angle,
insert one end into the corner between the inner frame and
glass (Fig.4).
13. Repeat this action on the opposite end of the top rail.
14. Press both ends up until the part is securely in place.
15. Top rail must be seated above tabs (Fig.5A)
16. Press top of frame back into position and replace
Phillips head screws removed in step 9.
17. Remove the bottom 8 Phillips head screws (Fig.4B) from
the interior window frame. Do not discard screws.

18. Holding the bottom rail at an approximate 45 degree
angle, insert one end into the corner between the inner
frame and glass (Fig.4).
19. Repeat this action on the opposite end of the bottom
rail.
20. Press both ends down until the part is securely in
place.
21. Bottom rail must be seated below tabs (Fig.5B)
22. Press bottom of frame back into position and replace
Phillips head screws removed in step 16.
