Safety Instructions
Before you use this device for the first time, please
read the following notes in this manual and heed
all warnings, even if you are familiar with handling
electronic devices. Keep this manual in a safe
place for future reference. If you sell the device or
pass it on, it is essential that you also hand over
this manual.
This icon denotes important information
for the safe operation of the product and
for the user’s safety.
The minimum distance to any lighted
surfaces must be 50 cm (19.7 inches).
Every broken protective cover must be
replaced.

LED Radiation! Avoid harm to the eyes! Never
look into the LED beam. If you suspect any eye
damage, consult a doctor.
The protective glass of the reflector becomes
very hot in halogen light mode. There is a risk
of injury upon touching it! Never cover the
reflector while using the device otherwise
overheating may occur!
Never use any optical devices such as a
magnifying lens to look directly into the light
beam as you may damage your eyes.
Electrical devices do not belong in the hands of
children. Do not allow children to play with
electrical devices when not under supervision.
Children may not understand that they can be
dangerous. Keep the packaging away from
children too as there is danger of suffocation.
If smoke, unusual noises or smells are noticed,
switch off the device immediately. Do not
inhale any smoke originating from a device fire
to avoid damage to your respiratory tract. If this
occurs the device should no longer be used
and should be inspected by authorized service
personnel.
Make sure that the housing of the flashlight, of
the charger WJB-Y41120500D and of the car
adapter do not become damaged as there is
danger of electric shock. Stop using the
flashlight immediately if you find any cables

damaged.
The supplied devices do not contain any parts
that require user maintenance. Never open the
housing of the devices otherwise they can be
damaged.
The supplied charger WJB-Y41120500D and
the supplied car charger must be used to
recharge the built-in battery of the flashlight
only. The charger WJB-Y41120500D must not
be used for continuous power supply. Never
connect the charger WJB-Y41120500D or the
car charger to other devices. Only recharge the
built-in battery of your flashlight using the
supplied charger WJB-Y41120500D or the
supplied car adapter.
This flashlight has not been designed for use
on vehicles. It must not be used as a
replacement for a bicycle or motorbike
headlamp.
Always make sure that:
no direct heat sources (e.g. radiators) can affect
the device;
no direct sunlight or bright artificial light reach the
device;
contact with abrasive liquids must be avoided
and the appliance should never be operated near
water. It must especially never be immersed;
the device should not be subject to excessive
shocks and vibrations.

When not following the above warnings the device
may become damaged.
Intended Use
The Rechargeable Battery Flashlight LHS 55 A1,
hereafter called “flashlight” can be used as a
mobile light beamer for hobbies, leisure or
camping. The supplied charger WJB-Y41120500D
allows you to recharge the built-in battery when a
wall outlet is available. The car adapter allows you
to recharge the battery from your vehicle.
This flashlight is not intended for commercial use.
The device fulfils all relevant norms and standards
associated with CE Conformity. Any modifications
to the device other than recommended changes by
the manufacturer may result in these standards no
longer being met.

Getting Started
The Rechargeable Battery Flashlight LHS 55 A1,
henceforward named “flashlight”, features a built-in
rechargeable battery. Optionally you can recharge
the built-in battery with the supplied charger WJB-
Y41120500D or the supplied car adapter.
Batteries are subject to discharge when stored for
a long period of time. Therefore, when not using
the flashlight for a long time, recharge the battery
every 3 months.
Charging via the Charger
Remove the protective cover from the jack [4] on
the flashlight.
Insert the small connector from the charger WJB-
Y41120500D [B] into the jack [4] on the flashlight.
Plug the charger WJB-Y41120500D [B] into a
wall outlet. During charging the charge indicator
[5] will light orange.
A full charging cycle takes up to 18 hours. The
charging process is completed when the charging
indicator [5] lights green. Then unplug the
charger WJB-Y41120500D [B] from the wall
outlet, to save energy.

Charging via the Car Adapter
Make sure that your vehicle has a 12V battery.
Never connect the car adapter to a 24V
battery. Otherwise the flashlight and the car
adapter may be damaged.
Remove the protective cover from the jack [4] on
the flashlight.
Insert the small connector from the car charging
adapter [C] into the jack [4] on the flashlight.
Then connect the car adapter [C] to a suitable
cigarette lighter in your car. During charging the
charge indicator [5] will light orange.
A full charging cycle takes up to 18 hours. The
charging process is completed when the charging
indicator [5] lights green. Then unplug the car
adapter [C] from the cigarette lighter.
Powering the Flashlight On/Off
This flashlight features four different lamps. You
can select the suitable light operation mode for
each application.
The Halogen Lamp
Press the rocker switch [10] to position I to power
the flashlight on.
Press the rocker switch [10] to position 0 to
power the flashlight off.

The LED Ring
Press the rocker switch [10] to position II to
power the flashlight on.
Press the rocker switch [10] to position 0 to
power the flashlight off.
Blinking LED Warning Light
Press the rocker switch [9] to position I to power
the blinking warning light on.
Press the rocker switch [9] to position 0 to power
the blinking warning light off.
LED Room Light
Press the rocker switch [9] to position II to power
the flashlight on.
Press the rocker switch [9] to position 0 to power
the flashlight off.
Adjusting the Handle and Stand
You can put the handle in pistol or carrying
position. To do this, unlock the handle by using the
slide switch [1] and rotate the handle into the
desired position until it clicks into place.
The stand [6] allows you to place the flashlight on
ground. You can adjust the light beam through the
different lock positions. Adjust the stand [6] so that
it clicks into any of the lock positions and place the
flashlight on the ground.

Appendix
Cleaning
To clean the flashlight use a dry cloth. Never use
any solvents or cleaners that may damage the
plastic housing. Make sure that no liquid gets into
the housing. If the product is very dirty, use a
slightly moistened cloth otherwise the device may
suffer damage.
Servicing
The LEDs and the battery cannot be replaced.
Replacing the Bulb
The built-in H3 halogen bulb must be replaced
by authorized service personnel only.
After the lamp has cooled down, unscrew the
reflector ring [3] counter-clockwise.
Carefully remove the reflector [2] forwards.
Slide the insulation hose apart and disconnect
the bulb from the cable.
Press the holding wire of the bulb together,
unhook it from the holder and remove it.
Next remove the bulb.
Replace the H3 6 V/55 W bulb by a new bulb of
the same type.

Do not touch the glass with your fingers.
Touching the lamp glass can reduce the bulb's
lifetime. We recommend that you use a soft,
lint-free cloth.
Fix the bulb again with the holding wire and
reconnect the cable.
Warning:
Make sure the insulation hose fully covers the
cable connector, otherwise there is a risk of
short-circuit!
Re-insert the reflector [2] and make sure that the
two pins of the reflector [2] fit into the holes of the
standing bolts of the flashlight housing. This fixes
the reflector [2] to the flashlight housing.
Insert the reflector ring [3] and turn it clockwise to
fasten.

The built-in rechargeable battery cannot be
removed for disposal.
