Introduction
Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the
first time. In addition please refer carefully to the operating
instructions
below and the safety advice. Use the product
only
as described and for the indicated purpose. Keep these instructions in
a safe place. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure
that you also pass on all the documentation.
Proper use
This lamp is intended for use indoors only. Any other use or modification
of the product constitute improper use and pose a risk of short circuits,
fire, electric shocks and damage to the product. The manufacturer is not
liable for damage caused by improper use. The product is not intended
for commercial use.

Rechargeable batteries are not intended to be in the
hands of children. Do not leave the removed batteries lying around.
They could be swallowed by children or pets. In the event of swal-
lowing a battery, contact a doctor immediately!
Children or persons who lack the knowledge or experience to use
the device or whose physical, sensory or intellectual capacities are
limited must never be allowed to use the device without supervision
or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children
must never be allowed to play with the device.
Never leave children unattended with the packaging material. It can
cause suffocation. Children often underestimate dangers. Always
keep children away from the product.
This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of
children. Children are not aware of the dangers associated with
handling electrical products.

Safety Instructions
Do not use the article if you detect any kind of damage. The LED
cannot be replaced.
CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Do not
operate the lamp in potentially explosive environments
in which there are inflammable vapours, gases or dusts.
Protect the light from moisture. Never hang the product in the vicinity
of a wash basin, pond etc. The product and the mains adapter must
never be immersed in water or other liquids. Failure to observe this
advice risks electric shock!
Connect the light to a properly installed mains socket or a suitable
cigarette lighter socket only. The voltages in each case must comply
with information given in the section “Technical data”.
Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can
pull the mains adapter 14 quickly out of the socket if necessary.
Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself.
The LEDs cannot and must not be replaced.
ATTENTION! The protective cover in front of the LEDs is non-replace-
able. Dispose of the lamp when you detect cracks or signs of
breakages in the protective cover.
Never connect the light to a power supply socket if the light, power
lead or mains adapter 14 /cigarette lighter socket 13 are damaged
or the light has been dropped.
Ensure that the power lead cannot become damaged by sharp
edges or hot objects. Unwind all the lead completely before use.
Keep easily flammable materials away from the product. Never hang
objects above the light or the mains adapter 14 and never cover them.
Pull the mains adapter 14 / cigarette lighter socket 13 out of the
mains adapter 14 /cigarette lighter socket 13 when you are not using
the light or before you clean it. Do this as well if signs of a fault
develop during use or charging, e.g. smoke, burning smell etc., or

during a storm. When doing this, pull directly on the mains adapt-
er 14 / cigarette light socket 13 and not on the lead.
Protect the product against heat, cold, strong vibrations and impacts.
Never point the LED beam on reflective areas, people or
animals. This can blind or irritate people and animals.
Even an LED beam of low power can cause damage to
the eye.
Preparing for use
Charging the rechargeable light batteries
Do not connect the light to the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle
if the vehicle battery is very old or exhausted. This could cause the
engine to fail to start.
In order for the device to be used without the mains lead, the
rechargeable batteries must first be charged. The charging process
takes about 8 hours. The rechargeable batteries are permanently
installed in the handle.
You can charge the rechargeable batteries from an ordinary
domestic 230 - 240 V
~mains outlet or from the cigarette lighter
socket in your motor vehicle.
Tip: We recommend charging the light from an ordinary domestic
230 - 240V
~mains outlet to avoid draining your vehicle’s battery.
Switch off the light during the charging process (press the On/ Off
switch 10, 11).
Remove the cap 8from the connection socket 7.
Insert the connection plug of the mains adapter 14 or the connection
plug of the cigarette lighter socket adapter 13 into the connection
socket 7in the light handle.

ATTENTION! When charging from a cigarette lighter socket, make
sure that the cigarette lighter socket adapter 13 is always fully in-
serted into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket. Failure to observe
this advice may result in overheating and consequent risk of fire.
Insert the mains adapter 14 into a mains socket or insert the ciga-
rette lighter socket adapter 13 into the cigarette lighter socket in
your vehicle. The charging indicator 9lights up red to show that
the battery is being charged. The battery is fully charged as soon
as the charging indicator 9lights up green
Note: The product is fitted with an overcharge protection circuit. In
spite of this, you should disconnect the light from the power supply after
the charging process is complete.
Use
When using the light in a vehicle make sure that you do not endanger
the driver or the passengers. Store and secure the light in such a
way that, even under conditions of full braking, there is no danger
of damage to the product or personal injury.
Never point the LED beam on reflective areas, people or

Note: The product has a hanger 2, which can be used to suspend
the light. To do this, fold out the hanger 2upwards (see Fig. C).
Do not pull on the light when it is hanging from the hook. The
hook could be torn out and the light damaged.
Note: The light also has a magnet 5, which can be used to attach
the light to magnetic surfaces (see Fig. D). Make sure that the light
is not struck or knocked while it is attached to a magnetic surface.

Failure to observe this advice may result in the light falling down
and becoming damaged.
Note: The lamp head can be adjusted through 165° (see Fig. B).
Bring the lamp head 1into the desired position by articulating
the light at the hinge 3.
Using the light without the power lead
Fully charge the rechargeable light batteries as described in the
section “Charging the rechargeable light batteries”.
Press the On/ Off switch 10, 11 to switch on the LED work light.
Using the light connected to a power supply
Arrange the power lead so that it does not create a trip hazard.
CAUTION DANGER OF ACCIDENT! Do not connect or use
the light if you are in moving traffic, for example driving a vehicle.
The light is not a passenger compartment light or a reading light!
Insert the plug on mains adapter 14 or the cigarette lighter socket
adapter 13 into the connection socket 7in the handle 4of the
light.
Insert the mains adapter 14 into a 230 - 240 V
~mains socket or
insert the cigarette lighter socket adapter 13 into the cigarette
lighter socket in your vehicle.
Press the On/ Off switch 10, 11 to switch on the LED work light.

Maintenance and cleaning
The product is maintenance-free. The LEDs cannot be replaced!
CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Disconnect the
product from the mains supply before cleaning.
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
Clean the product regularly with a dry, fluff-free cloth. Use a slightly
moist cloth to remove any stubborn dirt.
Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.

Disposal
Disposal
The rechargeable battery must be removed before the product is
taken for disposal.
After the battery has been removed, the product can no longer be
used.
To remove the rechargeable battery proceed as follows:
1. Open the light by unscrewing the 5 screws 15 using a small Phillips
screwdriver (see Fig. E).
2. Separate the two halves of the light housing and cut through the lead.
3. Remove the rechargeable batteries. The batteries are bound together
in a film.
4. Dispose of the rechargeable batteries in accordance with your local
authority’s regulations. Under no circumstances should you throw
away the batteries with ordinary domestic waste.
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials,
which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to
dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product
properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not
in the household waste. Information on collection points and
their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal
of the rechargeable batteries!

Disposal
Rechargeable batteries may not be disposed
of with the usual domestic
waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous
waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy
metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That
is why you should dispose of used rechargeable batteries at a local
collection point.
