• Positionthespeed-controlandcapacitorwheretheyareprotectedintheeventofacrashandgivesyoueasy
accesstotheconnectorsandbuttons.
• Mountthespeedoandcapacitorusingthesuppliedthick/blackdoubled-sidedtape
• Makesurethereisenoughclearancebetweenthespeed-control,power-wires,antennaandreceiver.Avoid
anydirectcontactbetweenpowercomponents,thereceiverortheantennaasthiscancauseinterference.If
interferenceoccurs,positionthecomponentsatadifferentplaceinthemodel.
• Theaerialshouldberunverticallyupandawayfromthereceiver.Avoidcontactwithanypartsmadeofcarbon
fibreormetal.Iftheaerialistoolong,don’tcoiluptheexcesslength.Seealsotheinstructionssuppliedwith
yourradiocontrolsystem.
Receiver Connecting Wire:TheSXX StockSpec
is equipped withan LRP Multicon receiverwire. As
supplied, it will easily fit in all ordinary receivers.
Make sure you connect it to receiver with correct
polarityandusechannel2.
Sensor Connector:locatedunderneaththesolder
tabs. The bi-directional multipole sensor wire con-
nects the speed- control and the motor. Always use
thesensorwireanddonotalterormodifythiscable!
There are replaceable/optional hall sensor wires
available,pleaserefertocompleteline-upat„Spare-
&Optional-Parts“.
Power Wires: Formaximumperformance,flexible
silicone power wires without any connectors are
used.Theuniquesplittedsolder-tabsalloweasyand
convenient replacement of the power wires. Never-
thelesssomesolderingskillsarerequired.Avoidsol-
deringlongerthen5secpersolderingjointtoprevent
possibledamagetothespeed-controlduetooverhea-
tingofthecomponents!Therearereplacementpower
wires available, please refer to complete line-up at
„Spare-&Optional-Parts“.
Heatsink: Toachievebestperfomanceevenunder
extreme conditions, the heatsink has been directly
mountedtothespeed-control.Thisensuresthebest
possibleheattransferawayfromthespeed-control.
Caution: Never attempt to remove the heatsink or
yourSXX StockSpecmaygetdamagedifyoutrytodo
this.Theheatsinkisanintegralpart,gluedtothefet‘s
andthereforecannotberemoved.

•Connectthespeed-controltothebatteryandswitchtheuniton.
•HoldtheSETbuttonpressedforatleast3sec.
YouenteredsetupmodeandtheSETLEDflashesblue(itwillflashuntilthesetupiscompleted).
•LeavetransmitterinneutralpositionandpresstheSETbuttononce.
Neutralsettingisstored,MODELEDflashesyellowandthemotorbeeps.
•HoldfullthrottleontransmitterandpresstheSETbuttononce.
Full-throttlesettingisstored,MODELEDflashesred.
•HoldfullbrakeontransmitterandpresstheSETbuttononce.
Brakesettingisstored,LED‘sglowred(MODE)andblue(SET).
• ThiscompletesthesetupprocedureandyourSXX StockSpec isreadytouse.
• Ifyoumakeamistakeduringthesetupprocedure,don‘tworry:Disconnectthebatteryforabout10secandstart
againfromthefirststep.
• Attheendofeachrunswitchofthecar,andthenswitchoffthetransmitter.
• Atthestartofeachrunswitchonthetransmitterfirst,thenswitchonthecar.
• Forstorageofthecar,disconnectthedrivebatteryatanytime!

Dual ADPCmax Power Profiles: anabsolutenovelty,independentadjustmentof„Feel“and„Boost“tomake
theSXX StockSpecuniversalforallracingclasses,motors,cellvoltagesandpersonaldriverpreferences!
„Feel“: the„Feel“adjustmentallowsyoutosetthefeelofthespeed-controltoyourlikes,it‘sacombinationof
currentlimiter,throttlemapandother(secret)factorswhichthesoftwarealtersdependingonthestatusofthecar
(start,acceleration,fullspeed).Higherprofilesresultinmoreaggressivethrottleresponse,sonormallyforapplica-
tionsonslipperysurfaceslower„Feel“settingsarestronglyrecommendedwhichgiveyoubestcarcontrol.
„Boost“: the„Boost“adjustmentisLRP‘sactivemotortimingsystem,dependingonmanydifferentfactors(cur-
rent,throttleposition,RPM,etc)thesoftwarecalculatestheperfectcommutationandtiming.Asaruleofthumb,
slowermotorsrequirehigher„Boost“settingsthenfastermotors!
Caution:correctprofiles,especiallyforMode.3,heavilydependonmotortypeandmechanicalmotortiming.Soif
youchangetoanothermotortypeoranotherwindalwaysstartwithalowsettingonMode.3andmonitorthemotor
temperaturefrequentlyduringtherun!
Thisnew,LRPexclusive,motor-timingalgorithmresultsinupto40%higherpoweroutputfromthemotor,therefore
itisimportantyoutakeyourtimeandstartwithlowprofileswithanymotorforastart!
Toohigh„Boost“valuesincreasemotortemperatureexcessivelyandintheworstcasemaydamageyourmotor,
makesureyoufindthebestperformancebyincreasingvaluesstepbystepcarefully!
Advise: ifvalue#0ischoosenforMode.3theblueLEDwillflashinneutralpositioninnormaloperationtoindicate
thatentiretimingadvancementisdisabledcompletely!

ACS2 (AutoCell System 2):LRP’sexclusiveACS2ensuresthatallbatteries(LiPo/NiMH/LiFePo)canbeused
safelywithoutaccidentiallydeep-dischargingofthecells.Incaseofashutdown,whencellvotagehasreachedset
cut-offvoltage,themotorfunctionwillbedisabledandtheLED‘swillindicatethatashutdownhasoccureddueto
undervoltage(seechartbelowforerrorcode‘s!).
Caution:WorksDefaultsettinghascut-offdisabled!
Internal-Temp-Check System 3: allowsyoutoread-outthemaximuminternaltemperaturethatthespeedo
andmotorhavereachedduringtherun.Youcanconvienentlyread-outthetemperaturebackinthepitssinceit
remainsstoreduntilyouturnitonthenexttimeregularly(whichwillresetthememory).Thisfeatureallowsyouto
accuratelycheckifallisrunningwellorifyou‘reclosetoshutdownalready.
How to read-out the temperature:

Multi-Protection System 3: newandimprovedprotectionsystem„MPS3“whichalsoinformsyouthecause
oftheshutdownwithaspecialLEDflashingsequence.YoucanindicatethatashutdownoccuredwhenblueSET
LEDflashesveryfastandthe„errorcode“(=causeforshutdown)isindicatedbytheMODELED‘sasexplained
intablebelow.
Error Code LED flashing sequences:
Changing Mode settings without the transmitter: Atraceeventsyouusuallydonothaveaccesstoyour
transmitter,butnevermindsinceyoucansimplydisconnectthereceiverleadfromthereceiverandchangethe
MODEsettingsasdescribedat„ModeProgramming“.
Works-Default-Settings: AllLRPspeed-controlscomefactory-adjusted(defaultsare grey-shaded above).
If youloosetrackofthemodes,youcanrestore theworksdefaultsettings.Withthe transmitter switched on,
holdtheSETbuttonpressedwhileyouswitchonthespeed-control.ThisreturnstheunittotheLRPworksdefault
settings.
Power Capacitor: Neverrunwithoutapower-capacitor!Itoffersincreasedpunchandadditionalprotection,it
mustbeconnectedtoBAT+andBAT-solderpadswithshortestpossiblewires.Thereareoptionalpowercapaci-
torsavailable,see„Spare-&optionalparts“.
C³ Technology (Copper Core Cooling):therevolutionaryC³Technologyforlowestrunningtemperatures,a
specialcoppercorebondsthebottomsidefetstotheheatsinkforevencoolingofallfet‘swhichresultsinhigher
