VC-A52S Firmware(FW) Upgrade Instruction
Warning：
Before FW upgrade, please check FW version of unit.
If the original FW is VMC_VME_ VZN, please download VMC_VME_ VZN version.
If the original FW is VZM_VZN_VMZ, please download VZM_VZN_VMZ version.
VMC_VME_ VZN can’t upgrade to VZM_VZN_VMZ due to the hardware limitation.

1. Device and Tool Preparation
1.1 Please prepare following devices and tools before FW upgrade.
VC Model
PC with a RS232 port or Laptop
or
RS232 cable
RS232-USB cable
(if connect with a laptop)
(9Pin D-Sub Female to 8Pin Mini Din Male)
Monitor
Power adapter and power cord

2. Connections for FW upgrade
**Note: OS Support: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
The VC FW cannot be upgraded through MAC OS.
2.1 Connect the VC camera(RS232 In) with a PC
2.2 Connect the VC camera(RS232 In) with a laptop
Need 2 cables: RS232 cable and RS232-USB cable

3. Control FW
3.1 Please refer to 2. Connections for FW upgrade
3.2 Launch the [VC-A51S_Download_AP].
3.3 Browse and select proper FW file.
-Check the box in the front for the FW you would like to update.
-Click [Browse] and select the FW file

3.4 Select proper [Com Port] and set the [Baud Rate] as [9600], and then press
[Download AP] to start.
3.5 FW start updating. (around 1.5min taken)
The Percentage will be increased when it’s running.
3.6 When firmware upgrade finished, please unplug and reconnect the power cord to
restart the camera.
3.7 Go to the menu, [System]-->[Factory Reset] to reset the camera.
3.8 Go 4 Check the FW version on OSD to confirm if the FW version is correct.

4. Check FW version on OSD
9.1 Plug in the power cord and connect the VC camera with a Monitor.
9.2 Power on the unit and press [Menu] button on the remote control
9.3 Select [Status]
9.4 Press [▼] button to the last [System] page
9.5 Check if the FW version is correct
