Technical data
The COMBINER 19" RACK is a spltter and booster device for the safety signal of the
ARM SYSTEM. The COMBINER 19" RACK acts as a slave of the connected ARM
CONTROLLER, which is the master of the safety line.
The COMBINER 19'' RACK is equipped with four (2x2) outputs that each can be
combined with a DMX signal to make a ARM+DMX output. The 19'' 1U rack size makes
it easy to combine with a DMX splitter.

complete safety system, refer to the ARM SYSTEM Conguration Manual (PART02323).

LED indicator Light Meaning
ARM signal LED O The system is disarmed: The SFX machines cannot be operated.
Red The system is armed: The SFX machines can be operated normally.
Red
ashing
The emergency stop button is actuated or a line interruption
outside of the controller is detected. The output of the SFX
machines is disabled.
DMX signal LED Green The COMBINER BOX is receiving a DMX signal.

INSTALLATION
WARNING Make sure that you are familiar with and comply with the instruc-
tions from the user and installation manuals of each relevant
ARM SYSTEM component and each connected SFX machine.
NOTICE Insert a TERMINATOR in the last ARM output of each master and
each slave line to close the safety circuit. The ARM SYSTEM will not
work when a line remains open.
Install the COMBINER 19" RACK in the ARM safety circuit and connect the COMBINER
19" RACK to a power source. Check the installation variants on the next page for
connection details.
SOFTWARE SETTINGS
Make sure that the DMX/RDM settings on each SFX machine matches your wiring
setup. If the DMX signal runs separately over 5-pole XLR cables, make sure that XLR is
selected as DMX INPUT in the menu. If a combined DMX and ARM signal runs over
the ARM data (EtherCON) cables, make sure that ARM is selected as DMX INPUT in the
menu.

AUse the COMBINER 19" RACK in combination with one ARM CONTROLLER to split
a master line into four DMX+ARM slave lines. The slave signals are also boosted.
BUse the COMBINER 19" RACK in combination with two ARM CONTROLLERs. For
each ARM CONTROLLER, the master line is split into two DMX+ARM slave lines.
The slave signals are also boosted.
