5. Description of the equipment
5.1
Configurations
Digital ADAS 2.0 is an interactive system that
allows simple and reliable calibration of driver as-
sistance systems (camera and radar). It is sold in
the following configuration:
nDigital ADAS 2.0 Camera + Radar (for
camera, radar and various auxiliary sys-
tems calibration)
5.2
Intended use
The equipment covered by this manual has been
designed for a simple and reliable calibration of
driver assistance systems, such as cameras and
radar. Digital ADAS 2.0 must be used in conjunc-
tion with a scantool produced by MAHLE After-
market Italy S.p.A. (see manual of the scantool
instrument).
If the workshop where the system will be used is
already in possession of the scantool instrument
(used for other operations), it will be sufficient to
enable the part of the software relating to calibra-
tion inside the scantool. This operation is carried
out by MAHLE Aftermarket Italy S.p.A.

6. Operation
The calibration procedures of the Digital ADAS
2.0 system are guided by the scantool instru-
ment.
6.1
DLM-01 Laser
There are two intended modes of use for the
DLM-01:
Measurements with DLM-01 on measuring
bar
In this mode, the DLM-01 is installed on the spe-
cific support located on the measuring bar in the
Digital ADAS 2.0. It is used to take measure-
ments to determine the position of the vehicle
in calibration with respect to the structure or a
single component (e.g. RADAR module)
Measurements taken are:
nDistance in mm from the reference target
placed on the clips mounted on the vehi-
cle's tires or from the specific component
(e.g. RADAR module). This measurement is
taken with the LASER meter
nPosition in mm of the DLM-01 on the mea-
suring bar, with respect to the origin point
(end of the measuring bar).
Measurements with DLM-01 outside the
measuring bar
In this mode, the DLM-01 is detached from the
mount and used to take specific measurements
on the vehicle.
Measurements taken are:
nDistance in mm from the rear side of the
LASER meter to the required point (e.g.:
wheel arch height from the ground)
nThis measurement is taken with LASER
distance meter
