BEFORE YOU START: Observing the following statements
and warnings reduces the likelihood of serious or fatal
injury.
WARNING:
• To prevent serious injury, children must not use the
swing unl properly installed. Do not use swing if
any damage or deterioraon is detected or parts are
missing. Contact point of purchase retailer or M&M
Sales Enterprises, Inc.
• Please keep instrucons for future reference.
INSTALLATION
TREE LIMB ASSEMBLY:
• Test tree limb to ensure that it will hold the weight limit of
200 lbs. safely.
• Form a small noose at one end of your rope and throw it
over the tree limb.
• Run other end of rope through the noose you created and
ghten rmly.
• Run the end of the rope through loop on the re swing.
• Tie a minimum of TWO ght knots rmly. Boom of
swing should be no less than 8 inches from ground and
no less than 6 feet on all sides from vercal elements. See
Clearance Requirements.
SWING SET OR OTHER HORIZONTAL BEAM ASSEMBLY:
• Aach the re swing to a swing set by removing one set of chains from an exisng
swing and aach the upper loop (above the PVC separator bar) to chain support hook
on the underside of the swing set crossbar. Then close the hook. See horizontal beam
assembly.
• Allow 6 . of clearance on each side of the swing from staonary objects or other
swinging elements of any kind. Boom of swing should be no less than 8 inches from
the ground. See Clearance Requirements.
ADJUST SWING HEIGHT
• Adjust swing hanging length so the seat is parallel with ground. Boom of swing
should be no more than 24 inches and no less than 8 inches from the ground.
• Ensure that the swing hangs horizontal aer adjustment of the ropes.
• Never add extra length to chain or rope. The chains or ropes provided are the
maximum length designed for the swinging element(s).
SELECTIVE PROTECTIVE SURFACING
One of the most important things you can do to reduce the likelihood of serious head
injuries is to install shock-absorbing protecve surfacing under and around your play
equipment. The protecve surfacing should be applied to a depth that is suitable for
the equipment height in accordance with ASTM F1292. There are dierent types of
surfacing to choose from; whichever product you select, follow these guidelines.
NOTE—Do not install home playground equipment over concrete, asphalt, or any other
hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the equipment
user. Grass and dirt are not considered protecve surfacing because wear and
environmental factors can reduce their shock absorbing eecveness. Carpeng and
thin mats are generally not adequate protecve surfacing. Ground level equipment
such as a sandbox, acvity wall, playhouse or other equipment that has no elevated
play surface-does not need any protecve surfacing.
PLACEMENT: Proper placement and maintenance of protecve surfacing is

• Extend surfacing at least 72 in. from the equipment in all direcons.
• For to-and-from swings, extend protecve surfacing in front of and behind the swing to a distance equal to twice the height of the top
bar from which the swing is suspended.
• For re swings, extend surfacing in a circle whose radius is equal to the height of the suspending chain or rope, plus 6 feet in all direcons.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
• An adult should supervise play on this product for children of all ages.
• Only for family residenal domesc use by children 3-8 years old.
• Designed for single rider. LIMIT: 1 child per swing. Safety rated to 175 lb.
OPERATION WARNING: Riders should be dressed appropriately including wearing
well-ng shoes that fully protect feet. Remove arcles before swinging that create
hazards when they get tangled and caught (examples include ponchos, scarves,
and other loose-ng clothing, bike or sports helmets). Adhere to the following
guidelines for operaon: Do not swing the swing higher than hook aachment
• Remove rider from the swing only aer it has completely stopped • Do not twist
swing chains or ropes or loop them over the top support bar since this may reduce
the strength of the chain or rope • Avoid swinging empty seats • Do not walk close
to, in front of, or behind, or between moving items • Rider should sit in center of the
swing with full weight in the seat • Do not use the equipment in a manner other than
intended • Do not aach items to the playground equipment or support structure
that the swing is aached to that are not specically designed for use with the
equipment, such as, but not limited to, jump ropes, clothesline, pet leashes, cables and chain as they may cause a strangulaon hazard • Do not
climb swing when it is wet • When the swing is in direct sunlight, check that seang surface is not too hot. • Never add extra length to chain or
rope. The chains and ropes provided are maximum length designed for the swing element(s).
Maintenance Instructions
MAINTENANCE WARNING: Failure to carry out these checks and inspecons could result in a fall or injury. Owners shall be responsible for
maintaining the legibility of the warning labels.
AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH PLAY SEASON:
• Tighten all Hardware
• Check all moving parts including re swing, ropes, and bolts for excessive wear, fractures, breaks, sharp edges, rust, or other
deterioraon. Replace as needed.
• Check metal parts for rust. If found, sand and repaint using a non-lead-based paint meeng the requirements of 16 CFR 1303.
• Rake and check depth of loose ll protecve surfacing materials to prevent compacon and to maintain appropriate depth. Replace as
necessary.
(2) TWICE A MONTH DURING PLAY SEASON:
• Check the rope, knots, support and all connecons for evidence of deterioraon, excessive wear, fractures, breaks or sharp edges and
replace as necessary.
• Treat ropes with a Teon-based lubricant at least twice monthly during usage.
• Rake and check depth of loose ll protecve surfacing materials to prevent compacon and to maintain appropriate depth. Replace as
necessary.
AT THE END OF EACH PLAY SEASON OR WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW 32°F:
• Take re swing indoors when the temperature drops below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
SWING DISPOSAL: When you are ready to dispose of swing, make sure that all swing components are disposed of in accordance with local waste
ordinances. Swing should be disassembled and disposed of in such a way that no unreasonable hazards exist at the me the swing is discarded.
