MM00136-Pony Pal Tire Swing
BEFORE YOU START: Observing the following statements
and warnings reduces the likelihood of serious or fatal
injury.
WARNING:
• To prevent serious injury, children must not use the
swing unl properly installed. Do not use swing if
any damage or deterioraon is detected or parts are
missing. Contact point of purchase retailer or M&M
Sales Enterprises, Inc.
• Please keep instrucons for future reference.
INSTALLATION
TREE LIMB ASSEMBLY:
• Test tree limb to ensure that it will hold the weight limit of
200 lbs. safely.
• Form a small noose at one end of your rope and throw it
over the tree limb.
• Run other end of rope through the noose you created and
ghten rmly.
• Run the end of the rope through loop on the re swing.
• Tie a minimum of TWO ght knots rmly. Boom of
swing should be no less than 8 inches from ground and
no less than 6 feet on all sides from vercal elements. See
Clearance Requirements.
SWING SET OR OTHER HORIZONTAL BEAM ASSEMBLY:
• Aach the re swing to a swing set by removing one set of chains from an exisng
swing and aach the upper loop (above the PVC separator bar) to chain support hook
on the underside of the swing set crossbar. Then close the hook. See horizontal beam
assembly.
• Allow 6 . of clearance on each side of the swing from staonary objects or other
swinging elements of any kind. Boom of swing should be no less than 8 inches from
the ground. See Clearance Requirements.
ADJUST SWING HEIGHT
• Adjust swing hanging length so the seat is parallel with ground. Boom of swing
should be no more than 24 inches and no less than 8 inches from the ground.
• Ensure that the swing hangs horizontal aer adjustment of the ropes.
• Never add extra length to chain or rope. The chains or ropes provided are the
maximum length designed for the swinging element(s).
SELECTIVE PROTECTIVE SURFACING
One of the most important things you can do to reduce the likelihood of serious head
injuries is to install shock-absorbing protecve surfacing under and around your play
equipment. The protecve surfacing should be applied to a depth that is suitable for
the equipment height in accordance with ASTM F1292. There are dierent types of
surfacing to choose from; whichever product you select, follow these guidelines.
NOTE—Do not install home playground equipment over concrete, asphalt, or any other
hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the equipment
user. Grass and dirt are not considered protecve surfacing because wear and
environmental factors can reduce their shock absorbing eecveness. Carpeng and
thin mats are generally not adequate protecve surfacing. Ground level equipment
such as a sandbox, acvity wall, playhouse or other equipment that has no elevated
play surface-does not need any protecve surfacing.
PLACEMENT: Proper placement and maintenance of protecve surfacing is
essenal. Be sure to:

• For to-and-from swings, extend protecve surfacing in front of and behind the swing to a distance equal to twice the height of the top
bar from which the swing is suspended.
• For re swings, extend surfacing in a circle whose radius is equal to the height of the suspending chain or rope, plus 6 feet in all direcons.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
• An adult should supervise play on this product for children of all ages.
• Only for family residenal domesc use by children 3-8 years old.

guidelines for operaon: Do not swing the swing higher than hook aachment
• Remove rider from the swing only aer it has completely stopped • Do not twist
swing chains or ropes or loop them over the top support bar since this may reduce
the strength of the chain or rope • Avoid swinging empty seats • Do not walk close
to, in front of, or behind, or between moving items • Rider should sit in center of the
swing with full weight in the seat • Do not use the equipment in a manner other than
intended • Do not aach items to the playground equipment or support structure
that the swing is aached to that are not specically designed for use with the

climb swing when it is wet • When the swing is in direct sunlight, check that seang surface is not too hot. • Never add extra length to chain or
rope. The chains and ropes provided are maximum length designed for the swing element(s).
