Thank you for confidence in us and congratulations!
The back pain treatment unit that you have purchased is a top
quality product from
MANIQUICK
This unit is intended for treatment of pain in the lower back area
on atemporary basis according to the individual.
In order to achieve the desired effect with your MANIQUICK
Backache therapy system in the long term, we recommend that you
read the following information on its use and maintenance carefully.
Please read the following safety information
carefully before using the device and keep these
instructions in a safe place for later use.
• Use the device only according to its intended purpose as
specified in the instruction manual.
• The warranty will be invalidated if the device is used for
purposes other than those for which it is intended.
• The device may only be used in conjunction with the accessories
(electrodes, cable) recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the device if it is not working correctly, if it has
been dropped or has fallen into water or has been damaged.
• Do not attempt to repair the device yourself in the event of a
malfunction since this will invalidate the warranty. Repairs
should only be carried out by authorised service centres.
• Do not operate the device in the vicinity of high-frequency
transmitters, e.g. microwave and short wave transmitters or radio
transmitters. They may impair the device’s ability to function.
• Do not switch the unit on until the belt with the electrodes
has been positioned on the body.
• Do not use the device whilst taking a bath or a shower.
• Do not use the machine whilst sleeping.
• The device may not be used whilst driving a car or whilst
operating and controlling machinery.
• Protect the device from moisture.
• If liquid should get into the device, remove the battery
immediately and discontinue use. Should this happen,
contact your specialist dealer or contact us directly.
• Never use the device in rooms where aerosols (sprays) are
used or pure oxygen is being administered.

• Never remove the treatment belt 4from the skin if the unit is still
switched on. The device can be switched off at any time if necessary.
Turn both intensity controllers, 15 and 9 , anti-clockwise to the
OFF position.
• When using the MANIQUICK back pain treatment unit device for
professional use, a safety control has to be carried out every 2 years
at an authorized service office.
WARRANTY PERIOD FOR PROFESSIONAL USER: 1 YEAR.
• Informations about the electrodes:
- For hygiene reasons, ensure that each user uses his or her own
electrodes.
- Do not place the electrodes on the body if it is wet.
- Only use the unit on clean, dry skin.
- Do not place the electrodes to open skin parts.
- Take care never to bring the electrode pads into contact with
one another. This could lead to short-circuiting of the device.
- Do not use damaged or defect lines to the electrode; there is
danger of electric shock.
- Do not expose the electrode pads to direct sunlight.
- Slight reddening of the skin after use is normal and will
disappear within 30 minutes. Do not use the unit again until
the reddening has disappeared.
- Select shorter treatment times if skin irritations occur over a
longer period of treatment.
- In case of more severe skin irritation, stop the treatment and
consult a physician.
- Remove the remains of adhesives from the skin with soap and
water. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
• Therapy with the
MANIQUICK back pain treatment unit does
not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Ask you doctor for
each kind of pain or disease, before using the device.
• The unit should be used
exclusively in the lower back region! Using
the unit on other parts of the body may lead to serious breathing
problems, cardiovascular disturbances or cardiac arrhythmia.
• The device should not be used by the following patients:
- patients with pacemakers, defibrillators or extreme cardiac
irregularities,
- patients with metal implants or electronic auxiliary devices,
- diabetics and patients with abnormally high blood pressure,
- patients with a tendency towards internal bleeding,
- pregnant women.
• Consult your doctor if you suffer from epilepsy or certain disabilities.
• Persons, whose sensitivity is disturbed or impaired may only
apply the device according to the instructions of a physician.
• Do not use the unit if suffering from period pains.
• Do not use the unit if the skin is burning or numb.
• Pain relief treatment following injury or operations may only be
carried out under the supervision and instruction of a doctor or
physiotherapist.
• Do not treat any parts of the body that have swellings, burns,
inflammation, peeling skin, wounds or other sensitive points.
• Always seek the advice of a doctor in case of doubt and follow
his instructions for treatment.
• Children may not used the device. Keep the unit out of the reach
of children. Medical products are not toys!
• If the device is used from, on or near children or people who are
handicapped and can only take limited use of the device, this
should always be monitored.
• The treatment should be pleasant. If you feel pain or feel the
application unpleasant, stop it and consult your doctor.

Your MANIQUICK back pain treatment unit is a TENS/EMS device.

It provides treatment in the low frequency range using the TENS/EMS
method. Using this method, weak electrical pulses are conducted
through the skin using the electrodes thus stimulating muscles, nerve
fibres and acupuncture meridians in order to utilise the body’s own
pain relief mechanisms.
Stimulation current is used primarily to combat pain.
TENS is understood as electrical nerve stimulation through the skin.
Pain is a natural and important warning signal of our body telling us that
“something is wrong”. If the reason for pain is diagnosed, but cannot or
can only partially removed, a long-lasting, persistent pain evolves (= chro-
nic pain). Now, this is in its former function as warning signal useless and
can largely affect the life of the person suffering, maybe even cause
aftereffects like tensions, depression or less joy of living.
Chronic pain can be treated with different methods: e.g. with medi-
caments or operations, but also with alternative, methods like acu-
puncture or TENS that are free of side-effects.
On the one hand, the TENS treatment can block pain signals by inter-
rupting the transmission of impulses through the skin to the painful
parts by means of electric impulses. The signal “pain” is not given on
to the brain and thus not felt as pain.
On the other hand, special TENS applications activate the body’s con-
trol mechanisms. Gentle electric currents make the body to release
so-called “endorphins” that function as pain reducer. The pain is
thus stopped, eased or removed by the body itself.
This electrical stimulation cannot remove the causes or cure the disea-
se, but change the painful feeling. Painless conditions or conditions
freed of pain can help the chronically suffering person to make new,
positive experiences, from which he or she can gain power and energy.
Can something happen to me, due to the current?
No, because the current strength of the electric pulses is so low that it
remains completely safe even with longer applications. However, the
intensity should be adjusted to the individual sensitivity.
Therefore, start for each new application with the lowest intensity
level und increase it slowly according to the individual feeling. The
application should never be unpleasant.
I have no experience with stimulation current therapy.
How can I apply the device without problems?
The MANIQUICK back pain treatment unit has been particularly
developed to be easily used by everyone. Even without special kno-
wledge of the subject “stimulation current therapy” you can treat
yourself safely and easily with the help of the preset programs.
How often can I use the electrodes?
According to the condition of your skin and when observing the appli-
cation instructions you can use them until they lose their adhesiveness.
Can I use other electrodes as well?
No, you should only used original MANIQUICK electrodes.

1. The block battery supplied must first be inserted in the battery
compartment before the unit can be used for the first time.
2. Check that the unit is switched off. Turn both intensity controllers,
15 and 9, anti-clockwise to the OFF position.
3. Open the battery compartment 11 by pushing the keypad cover
12 downwards. At the same time press down with the thumb
on the area of the cover identified with raised dots.
4. Insert the battery in the base of the battery compartment taking
care to match up the symbols (+ / -). Thread the textile strip
under the battery; this will make it easier to remove the battery
the next time it needs replacing.
5. Close the battery compartment by placing the cover on the lateral
guides and sliding it upwards with slight pressure of the thumb
on the area marked.
6. Follow the same procedure when replacing the battery at a later
date. Always use only 9 V block batteries of type 6LR61.
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
• Keep away from children. • Do not recharge.
• Do not short-circuit. • Do not throw into fire.
• Do not dispose of old batteries with your household waste,
but dispose of them at a battery collection station at a
recycling site or in a shop.

Lay the belt 4flat on a table with the electrode side upwards
so that the four pad markings are visible.
2. Lay out the electrode pads 6 and 7and the pushbutton
connectors 1and 3with their connection cables.
3. The unit is supplied with 4 (2 x 2) self-adhesive pads on a
backing or protective film which correspond in size to the
markings on the belt.
Use scissors to cut carefully between the two pads on the film
marked “on” without separating the pads from the film. There
will now be four pads in front of you.
4. Remove the two-part protective films from the sides of pads 6 and
7with a criss-cross pattern by pulling the films off carefully from
the inside outwards. Leave the films marked “on” on the pads.
5. Position the pads 6 and 7with the criss-cross patterned side
down, centrally on the markings on the belt. Press the pads
down firmly onto the belt.
WARNING
Only use the belt when all four pads are attached to the
electrodes to prevent unpleasant electric shocks.
NOTES
Use only the original MANIQUICK electrodes enclosed
with the unit. Use separate electrode pads for each user.
These may be ordered subsequently from MANIQUICK
as a pad set.
For the first few applications, the electrode pads are very
sticky. It is, therefore, advisable to remove the electrode
pads carefully from the skin with the belt.
6.
Turn the belt over and place it flat on the table again with the self-
adhesive pads facing downwards. The four pushbutton contacts
are visible.
7. Take the cables and connect the two pushbutton connectors 1
to the pushbutton contacts as shown in the diagram. Do the
same with pushbutton connectors 3.
CAUTION
Make sure that the two intensity controllers
5 and 9 are
in the OFF position before inserting the cables.
8.
Insert the free ends of the cables into the connection sockets of
channel 1 and 2 ( 16and 8) on the top of the TENS unit. It is
immaterial which cable is assigned to which channel.
The belt 4 is a universal size which fits everyone. The belt width may
be adjusted to suit the individual by fixing the Velcro fastener 5.

1. Prior to putting on the belt, remove any residues of skin cream or
ointment. The skin must be grease-free. Do not place the belt on
injured or inflamed areas of skin (wounds, spots, rashes, reddening, etc.).
2. Remove the plastic films marked “on”of the electrode pads, 6 and 7 .
Handle these films carefully so that they can be stuck back in
place to protect the pads after each use.
3. Put the belt 4on. Position it on the area of the body to be
treated. If your backache is at waist level, you will be suffering
from pain in the upper treatment area. Position the belt so that
the middle of the belt is at waist level.
4. If your back pain is in the lower treatment area, position the belt so
that the middle of the belt sits approx. 3 - 5 cm below the waist.
5. When the belt has been manoeuvred into the correct position,
bring the two ends of the neoprene straps together and push in
the clip fastener 5 to fasten the belt tight.
6. The belt may be tightened or loosened by proceeding as described
in “3.3 Adjust belt width”.
1. The unit is switched on by setting the intensity controllers, 15
and 9, to the desired strength. The unit offers 8 intensity settings
for treatment strength from 0 - 80 mA.
2. The unit’s basic setting now appears on the display 14 .
3. Turn the two intensity controllers on the top of the TENS unit in
a clockwise direction (1 = weaker/8 = stronger) until the electric
pulses of both channels can be felt. The stimulation should be
perceived as pleasant.
CAUTION
Subjective perception of the electric current may alter with
changing frequencies, pulse widths or current shapes.
Regulate the intensity as soon as the application is
perceived as unpleasant or the pleasant prickling sensation
is not felt for a longish period.
The unit offers 8 preset treatment programs. The programs differ
in respect of varying pulse widths and frequencies.

1. The unit has been switched on by adjusting the intensity
controllers, 15 and 9 , to one of the 8 intensity settings (see 4.2).
2. The display 14 shows the unit’s basic setting.
3. Push the keypad cover 12 downwards. Do this by pressing with
the thumb on the area on the cover identified with raised dots.
Press the MODE key 13 repeatedly until the desired treatment
program (P1 - P8) is framed on the display.
NOTES
Each of these programs starts as soon as it is selected using
the MODE key
13 regardless of whether or not a treatment
time has been set. The preset treatment time on first use is
15 minutes.

The most recently set treatment program is stored. The most recently
used program is set and flashes when the unit is switched on again.
1. The unit has been switched on and a treatment program has
been selected (see 4.2 and 4.3).
2. The display 14 shows the unit’s basic setting with the program
that has been selected. When the unit is first switched on, the
display flashes for the preset treatment duration “15” or the
most recently set treatment time.
3. The unit offers 4 preset treatment times, 15 , 30 and 60 minutes,
continuous and a setting for continuous operation (©).
4. Push the keypad cover 12 downwards. Press the TIMER key 10
repeatedly until the desired treatment time (15 - 30 - 60 min. or
© for continuous operation) flashes on the display. Push the
keypad cover 12 back up.
NOTES
The treatment time always begins immediately as soon as
one of the three preset times has been selected or altered.

The appropriate display “15”, “30” or “60” flashes for the duration
of the treatment time set. The unit switches off automatically
when the treatment time has expired. The unit does not switch off
independently in continuous mode “©”.

selected treatment duration is set and flashes when the unit is
switched back on.

Troubleshooting
• The belt may be worn comfortably under clothing when the
settings for the treatment program and time have been selected
and the keypad cover 12 has been closed again. Take care in this
case that the pushbutton connectors, 1 and 3 , do not get pulled
off and that the cables are not damaged.
• For ease of use, the TENS unit may be worn on the belt by
attaching it using the clip on its rear.
• If an application is to be repeated, first turn the two intensity
controllers, 15 and 9, to the OFF position and then back to the
desired intensity level. The program is repeated with the settings
selected previously.
• Try out different programs to find out which of the preset
program sequences is most suitable.
• Different people experience different levels of effectiveness with
a treatment program. It may be that the feeling of efficacy of a
program will decrease if it has already been used for several
hours at different times.
This may happen because the body has become used to the pulse
intensity or the program sequence set. This may be avoided by
changing the intensity and the program from time to time.
WARNING
Only use the belt when all four pads are attached to the
electrodes to prevent unpleasant electric shocks. Check the
condition of the electrode pads and cables regularly.
• The unit switches off automatically on expiry of the preset
treatment time of 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The unit can also be
switched off manually at any time. In both cases the intensity
controllers, 15 and 9, must be turned anti-clockwise until they
click into the OFF position and the display goes blank.
WARNING
To prevent unpleasant electric shocks, never remove the
treatment belt
4 from the skin whilst the unit is still
switched on. First turn the two intensity controllers,
15
and 9 , anti-clockwise until they click into the OFF position
and the display goes blank.
• Leave the pads on the electrodes on the belt. For safe storage,
place the plastic films marked with “on” back on the electrode
pads after each use. This will increase the service life of both
electrodes and pads.
Always check the unit and accessories each time before use to
prevent damage and defects:
1. The battery has sufficient charge and is not corroded.
2. All pads stick fast and centrally to the electrodes. They are not
damaged or dried out.
3. The cables are not damaged and are in good condition.
4. The contact connectors of the cables are properly and firmly
attached to the pushbutton contacts on the belt.
5. The cables fit tightly into the connection sockets on the TENS unit.
The following table may help if a fault occurs despite these
precautions. Please contact your service centre if it is not possible
to remedy a fault in the manner described.

TENS unit:
• The device does not require any special maintenance.
• Remove the battery before cleaning the device.
• Never use aggressive cleaning products or stiff brushes.
• Clean the device with a soft, possibly slightly moistened cloth.
Do not allow water to penetrate the device. Do not use the
device again until it is completely dry.
• Take the battery out of the unit if it is not going to be used for
more than a week.
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight and protect it
against dirt and moisture.
• Store the unit together with the belt, cables and pads covered
by the protective films in a clean, dry place. The pads should
remain on the electrodes on the belt and be rolled up together.
Belt and pads:
• If the belt has become damp during use, allow it to dry naturally
before using it again.
• Take the pads off the belt before cleaning it. Ensure that the
pads are covered on the skin side by the protective films marked
with “on”. Also detach the cables and the TENS unit from the
belt. Do not pull on the cables but on the connectors attached
to the ends of the cables.
• The service life of the electrode pads depends on their storage,
skin type and use. The electrode pads must be replaced with
new ones if the stickiness of the self-adhesive pads decreases
significantly, if they dry out or are if they are very dirty.
• Wash the belt in cold water by hand. Do not wash the belt in
the washing machine. Lay the belt out flat or hang up to dry
naturally. Do not use a tumble drier.
Cables:
• Remove the cables from the belt and the TENS unit for cleaning.
Do not pull on the cables but on the connectors attached to the
ends of the cables.
• Only clean the cables with a clean, lightly moistened cloth and
do not use them again until they are completely dry.
This product must not be disposed together with the domestic waste.
All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices,
regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a muni-
cipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in
an environmentally acceptable manner.
Please remove the battery before disposing of the equipment. Do not
dispose of old batteries with your household waste, but dispose of
them at a battery collection station at a recycling site or in a shop.

about disposal.

1. MANIQUICK SA guarantees the absence of faults and mechanical
defects and the completeness of the product when it is sold.
2. Repairs can be done only at Service Centres authorized by
MANIQUICK SA or by the Authorized Distributor in the country
where you have purchased the appliance.
3. The duration of the period of guarantee on the materials and
on manufacturing and operating defects is 5 years* with effect
from the date of sale, subject to all the conditions for the
Purchaser shown in the Instructions for use. The obligations of
guarantee do not cover expendable materials: electrode cups,
elastic bands, power supply cables etc..
4. Complaints relative to the product must be presented directly to
the authorized service centre. The service centre, on the basis of
an agreement with the Vendor, is competent to establish the
cause and nature of the fault. The product will be replaced only
if it cannot be repaired.
5. The owner of the product will provide autonomously for
delivering and collecting the product from the place of the
repair under guarantee.
6. The time necessary for the repair under guarantee will be subject
to the degree of seriousness of the fault.
7. The responsibility of MANIQUICK SA under these conditions of
guarantee will be limited to the amount paid by the Purchaser
for the product in question.

The guarantee on the product will not be applied in the
following cases
• certificate of guarantee filled in incorrectly or falsified; serial
number (if applicable for the specific product) damaged or removed;

absence of commercial and financial documents (cash

• opening or repair of the product by the Purchaser or by an
unauthorized Service Centre;
• defects following failure by the Purchaser to observe the rules
for use, storage and transport of the product shown in the
relative technical and regulations documentation, in which case
the regulations of the aforementioned documentation which
have been infringed must be specified;
• penetration of foreign bodies or liquids inside the product;
• presence on the product of internal or external mechanical
defects (cracks, signs of a fall, chipped parts, etc.) consequent to
the incorrect use, installation or transport of the product;
• components or accessories subject to rapid wear and tear
(electrode cups, elastic bands);
• defects caused by external agents (dirt visible externally and
internally, traces of corrosion);
• defects due to causes independent of the manufacturer, such as
power supply voltage step changes, natural phenomena or disa-
sters, fires, actions by animals, insects etc.
• complaints for defects found by the Purchaser that are made
after the expiry of the guarantee period or any other period esta-
blished by the law for reporting any defects;
• use of the product by the Purchaser not for personal (domestic)
use but for commercial and profit-making purposes.

• Non allontanare mai la cintura terapeutica 4 dalla pelle ad
apparecchio ancora acceso. Se necessario, l’apparecchio può essere
spento in qualsiasi momento. Ruotare entrambi i regolatori di
intensità, 15 e 9, in senso antiorario sulla posizione OFF.
• In caso di utilizzo professionale dell’apparecchio terapeutico contro
i dolori di schiena
MANIQUICK lo si deve sottoporre ogni 2 anni ad
un controllo tecnico di sicurezza presso servizi di assistenza autorizzati.

• Note sugli elettrodi:
- Per motivi igienici assicurarsi che ogni utilizzatore usi i propri
elettrodi.
- Non posizionare gli elettrodi su parti del corpo bagnate.
- Utilizzare l’apparecchio solo su pelle pulita e asciutta.
- Gli elettrodi non devono venire posizionati su zone in cui la
pelle è lesionata.
- Assicurarsi che i pads per elettrodi non vengano a contatto tra
loro. Si potrebbe causare il cortocircuito dell’apparecchio.
- Non utilizzate cavi difettosi per gli elettrodi per non correre il
rischio di scosse elettriche.
- Non esporre i pads per elettrodi alla luce solare diretta.
- Un leggero arrossamento della pelle dopo l’utilizzo dell’apparecchio
è normale e scompare entro 30 minuti. Riutilizzare l’apparecchio solo
dopo la completa scomparsa dell’arrossamento.
- Se in caso di tempi di terapia lunghi si dovessero presentare
irritazioni cutanee, scegliere tempi più brevi.
- Nel caso in cui si verifichino irritazioni cutanee più gravi,
sospendere il trattamento e consultare il medico.
- Usare acqua e sapone per rimuovere residui di adesivo dalla
pelle. Non usare né alcol né solventi.
• I trattamenti con l’apparecchio terapeutico contro i dolori di
schiena
MANIQUICK non sostituiscono né diagnosi né terapie
mediche. Consultate il Vostro medico per ogni genere di dolori o
di malattie prima di utilizzare questo apparecchio.
• Impiegare l’apparecchio
esclusivamente nella regione lombare!
L’utilizzo su altre parti del corpo può causare problemi respiratori,
disturbi circolatori, cardiaci o aritmie gravi.
• Non possono utilizzare l’apparecchio le seguenti tipologie di
pazienti:
- Pazienti con pacemaker, defibrillatore o gravi disturbi cardiaci o
aritmie,
- Pazienti con protesi metalliche o apparecchi ausiliari elettronici,
- Diabetici e pazienti con ipertensione grave,
- Pazienti soggetti ad emorragie interne,
- Donne in stato interessante.
• In presenza di epilessia o particolari disabilità, consultare il
proprio medico.
• Le persone con sensibilità anomala o ridotta possono utilizzare
l’apparecchio solo su prescrizione medica.
• Non utilizzare l’apparecchio in caso di dolori mestruali.

• I trattamenti antidolore dopo infortuni o operazioni possono

L’apparecchio per il trattamento dei dolori di schiena MANIQUICK è
un apparecchio con funzioni TENS/EMS.

Grazie al metodo TENS/EMS esso offre un trattamento a bassa fre-
quenza. Con questo metodo, mediante gli elettrodi, deboli impulsi
di corrente elettrica vengono trasmessi attraverso la pelle. Questo
consente di stimolare la muscolatura del corpo, le fibre nervose e i
meridiani dell’agopuntura ad attivare i propri meccanismi per calma-
re il dolore.
La corrente di stimolazione viene impiegata principalmente per com-
battere il dolore.
Con il termine TENS si intende la stimolazione elettrica dei nervi
attraverso la pelle. Il dolore è un segnale d’allarme naturale ed
importante del corpo che ci segnala che “qualcosa non va”. Se la
causa del dolore è stata diagnosticata ma non può essere eliminata
o può esserlo solo in modo condizionato, si ha un dolore persistente
e di lunga durata (= dolore cronico). Il dolore cronico
non esplica la sua funzione originaria e può pregiudicare in modo
estremamente negativo la vita della persona che soffre ed eventual-
mente dar luogo a conseguenze quali tensioni, depressioni o man-
canza di gioia di vivere.
Il dolore cronico può essere trattato con metodi diversi: per esempio
con farmaci o con interventi chirurgici ma anche con metodi alterna-
tivi, privi di effetti collaterali, come l’agopuntura o la TENS.
Con il trattamento di TENS si possono da un lato bloccare i segnali
dolorosi, in quanto la conduzione dello stimolo attraverso la pelle
viene interrotto dagli impulsi elettrici nella sede del dolore. Il segna-
le “dolore” non viene più trasmesso al cervello e di conseguenza non
viene più rilevato da questo.
Dall’altro lato, con speciali applicazioni di TENS vengono attivati i
meccanismi di controllo propri del corpo. Tutte le correnti elettriche
fanno sì che l’organismo liberi le cosiddette “endorfine”, che agi-
scono diminuendo il dolore. Il dolore viene così inibito, alleviato o
eliminato in modo naturale dall’organismo stesso.
Questa stimolazione elettrica non può eliminare le cause o guarire
la malattia, ma modificare la sensibilità dolorosa. L’assenza di dolo-
re può aiutare chi soffre a fare nuove esperienze positive dalle
quali trarre forza ed energia.
Mi può succedere qualcosa con la corrente?
No, perché l’intensità degli impulsi elettrici è così bassa che, anche in
caso di uso prolungato, rimane assolutamente innocua. L’intensità
deve tuttavia venire regolata in base alla sensibilità individuale.
Iniziate quindi ad ogni nuova applicazione con il livello più basso di
intensità ed aumentatela lentamente in base alla Vostra sensibilità.
Il trattamento non deve mai risultare spiacevole.
Non ho nessuna esperienza di trattamenti con corrente di stimo-
lazione. Come posso utilizzare senza problemi l’apparecchio?
L’apparecchio per i trattamenti dei dolori alla schiena MANIQUICK è
stato appositamente studiato in modo da rendere il suo utilizzo estre-
mamente facile per chiunque. Anche senza conoscenze specifiche sul-
l’argomento “Elettrostimolotrattamento” potrete, con l’aiuto dei pro-
grammi preselezionati, curarvi in modo sicuro e semplice da soli.
Quanto posso utilizzare gli elettrodi?
A seconda delle condizioni della pelle e facendo attenzione alle
istruzioni per l’uso potete utilizzare gli elettrodi finché non perde-
ranno la loro forza adesiva.

1. Prima di poter utilizzare l’apparecchio per la prima volta, inserire
nel vano batterie la batteria monoblocco fornita in dotazione.
2. Controllare che l’apparecchio sia spento. Ruotare entrambi i
regolatori di intensità, 15 e 9, in senso antiorario sulla
posizione OFF.
3. Aprire il vano batterie 11 spingendo il coperchio proteggi tasti
12 verso il basso. Premere con il pollice sulla superficie
puntinata del coperchio.
4. Inserire la batteria sul fondo del vano batterie secondo
l’indicazione dei simboli di polarità (+ / -). Far passare la linguetta
in tessuto sotto la batteria; ciò faciliterà l’estrazione della batteria
alla sostituzione successiva.
5. Richiudere il vano batterie inserendo il coperchio nelle scanalature
laterali e spingendolo verso l’alto con una leggere pressione
del pollice sulla superficie puntinata.
6. Per una sostituzione futura della batteria procedere nello stesso
modo. Utilizzare sempre e solo batterie monoblocco da 9 V del
tipo 6LR61.
INDICAZIONI DI SICUREZZA PER LA BATTERIA
• Tenere la batteria lontano dalla portata dei bambini!
• Non ricaricarla! • Non cortocircuitarla! • Non gettarla nel fuoco!
• Non gettare la batteria esaurita e gli accumulatori nei rifiuti
domestici, ma nei rifiuti speciali o in una stazione di raccolta
pile nel commercio specializzato.

Stendere la cintura 4 su un tavolo con il lato degli elettrodi
rivolto verso l’alto in modo che i quattro contorni per i pads
siano visibili.
2. Preparare anche i pads per elettrodi 6 e 7 e gli attacchi a
bottoncino 1 e 3con i cavi di collegamento.
3. L’apparecchio viene fornito con 4 (2 x 2) pads autoadesivi delle
stesse dimensioni dei contorni segnati sulla cintura e disposti su
una pellicola di supporto e protettiva. Passando con le forbici tra
i pads, separare entrambe le pellicole con la scritta “on” facendo
attenzione a non staccarle dai pads. Ora si avranno a disposizione
quattro pads separati.
4. Rimuovere le pellicole protettive a due alette dai lati dei pads 6
e7con motivo a reticolo procedendo attentamente dall’interno
verso l’esterno. Lasciare le pellicole con la scritta “on” sui pads.
5. Posizionare i pads 6 e 7 , con il lato con motivo a reticolo
rivolto verso il basso, al centro dei contorni segnati sulla cintura.
Premere i pads energicamente contro la cintura.
ATTENZIONE
Per evitare fastidiosi impulsi di corrente, usare la cintura
solo dopo aver fissato tutti e quattro i pads sugli elettrodi.
AVVERTENZE
Utilizzare solo gli elettrodi MANIQUICK originali forniti in
dotazione con l’apparecchio. Usare per ogni utilizzatore/
utilizzatrice pads diversi. Questi possono essere ordinati di
nuovo in set presso il Punto Vendita MANIQUICK.
Al primo utilizzo, la forza adesiva dei pads è molto alta.
Pertanto allontanare delicatamente i pads per elettrodi con
la cintura dalla pelle.
6.
Girare la cintura e stenderla di nuovo sul tavolino con i pads
autoadesivi rivolti verso il basso. Ora si possono vedere i quattro
contatti per gli attacchi a bottoncino.
7. Prendere i cavi e collegare entrambi gli attacchi a bottoncino 1
agli appositi contatti come mostrato in figura. Procedere nello
stesso modo con gli attacchi a bottoncino 3.
ATTENZIONE
Prima di inserire i cavi assicurarsi che entrambi i regolatori
di intensità,
15 e 9 , si trovino in posizione OFF.
8. Infilare le estremità ancora libere dei cavi nelle connessioni dei
canali 1 e 2 ( 16 e 8 ) in alto sull’apparecchio TENS. Ogni cavo
può essere assegnato indifferentemente ad uno dei due canali.
La cintura 4ha una misura universale adattabile a chiunque. La cir-
conferenza della cintura può essere regolata secondo le esigenze indi-
viduali fissando la chiusura in Velcro 5nella posizione necessaria.

1. Prima di indossare la cintura rimuovere eventuali residui di
creme per la pelle o di pomate. La pelle deve essere priva di residui
di grasso. Non mettere la cintura su zone in cui la pelle è lesa o
infiammata (ferite, brufoli, eruzioni cutanee, arrossamenti, ecc.).
2. Togliere le pellicole di protezione con la scritta “on” dai pads per
elettrodi, 6 e 7. Rimuovere le pellicole delicatamente per poterle poi
riattaccare sui pads al termine di ogni trattamento a scopo protettivo.
3. Indossare la cintura 4 . Posizionarla sulla zona del corpo da trattare.
Se si hanno dolori alla schiena all’altezza della vita, si soffre
di dolori nella regione superiore di trattamento. Indossare la
cintura in modo tale che il suo centro sia all’altezza dei fianchi.
4. Se si soffre di dolori alla schiena nella regione inferiore di
trattamento, indossare la cintura in modo tale che il suo centro
sia ca. 3 - 5 cm al di sotto dei fianchi.
5. Una volta portata la cintura nella giusta posizione, infilare l’una
nell’altra le estremità delle due fasce in neoprene per fissare
bene la chiusura a scatto 5 della cintura.
6. La cintura può essere stretta o allargata procedendo come
descritto al punto “3.3 Regolare la circonferenza della cintura”.
1. Accendere l’apparecchio impostando i regolatori di intensità, 15
e 9 , sulla potenza desiderata. L’apparecchio prevede 8 livelli di
intensità della potenza di trattamento, da 0 a 80 mA.
2. Sul display 14 appare ora l’impostazione base dell’apparecchio.
3. Ruotare entrambi i regolatori di intensità in alto sull’apparecchio
TENS in senso orario (1 = più debole / 8 = più potente) fino ad
avvertire gli impulsi di corrente di entrambi i canali.
La stimolazione deve risultare piacevole.
ATTENZIONE
La percezione soggettiva della corrente può cambiare al
variare delle frequenze, delle larghezze degli impulsi o
delle forme di corrente. Se il trattamento risulta fastidioso
o se, per diverso tempo, non si avverte più il piacevole
formicolio, regolare subito l’intensità.
L’apparecchio offre 8 programmi preimpostati. I programmi
variano per larghezze di impulsi e frequenze diverse.

2. Il display 14 mostra l’impostazione base dell’apparecchio.
3. Spingere il coperchio proteggitasti 12 verso il basso. Così facendo,
premere con il pollice sulla superficie puntinata del coperchio.
Premere sul tasto MODE 13 finché sul display non apparirà
contornato il programma terapeutico desiderato (P1 - P8).
AVVERTENZE
Ciascuno di questi programmi inizierà non appena sarà stato
selezionato con il tasto MODE
13 , indipendentemente dal
fatto che sia stato impostato o meno un tempo di trattamento.
La durata di trattamento preimpostata al primo utilizzo è di
15 minuti. Per interrompere il programma ruotare entrambi
i regolatori di intensità,
15 e 9 , in senso antiorario sulla
posizione OFF.
4. L’apparecchio memorizza il programma terapeutico impostato
per ultimo. All’accensione successiva, sull’apparecchio è impostato
e lampeggia l’ultimo programma utilizzato.
1. L’apparecchio è stato acceso e il programma terapeutico (si veda
4.2 e 4.3 ) selezionato.
2. Il display 14 mostra l’impostazione base dell’apparecchio con il
programma da voi selezionato. Alla prima accensione,
sull’apparecchio lampeggia la durata di trattamento “15”
preimpostata, o il tempo di trattamento impostato per ultimo.
3. L’apparecchio offre 3 tempi di trattamento preimpostati, di 15, 30 e
60 minuti, nonché un’impostazione per funzionamento continuo (©).
4. Spingere il coperchio proteggitasti 12 verso il basso. Premere sul
tasto TIMER 10 finché sul display non lampeggerà il tempo di
trattamento desiderato (15 - 30 - 60 min. o © per funzionamento
continuo). Spingere di nuovo il coperchio proteggitasti 12 verso
l’alto.
AVVERTENZE
Il tempo di trattamento inizia sempre subito dopo la selezione
o la modifica di uno dei tre tempi preimpostati.
Per interrompere il programma ruotare entrambi i regolatori
di intensità,
15 e 9 , in senso antiorario sulla posizione OFF.

Per tutta la durata del tempo di trattamento impostato lampeggerà
la rispettiva indicazione, “15” , “30” o “60”. Una volta tra
scorso il tempo di trattamento, l’apparecchio si spegne
automaticamente. In funzionamento continuo “©”, l’apparecchio
non si spegne automaticamente.
6. L’apparecchio memorizza il tempo di trattamento impostato per
ultimo. All’accensione successiva, sull’apparecchio è impostata e
lampeggia l’ultima durata di trattamento selezionata.

• Una volta concluse le impostazioni del programma e del
tempo di trattamento, e una volta richiuso il coperchio
proteggitasti 12 , la cintura può essere comodamente portata
sotto gli indumenti. In questo caso assicurarsi che gli attacchi a
bottoncino, 1 e 3 , non si strappino e che i cavi non vengano
danneggiati.
• La clip posta sul retro del TENS permette di agganciare
l’apparecchio alla cintura per un uso più pratico.
• Se si desidera riutilizzare l’apparecchio, ruotare entrambi i
regolatori di intensità, 15 e 9 , prima su OFF e poi di nuovo
sul livello di intensità desiderato. Il programma si ripete con le
impostazioni precedentemente selezionate.
• Vi consigliamo di provare diversi programmi per trovare tra
quelli preimpostati i cicli di programma più adatti a voi.
• Molte persone fanno esperienze diverse con l’efficacia di un
programma terapeutico. Può succedere che la sensibilità all’effetto di
un programma diminuisca dopo diverse ore di utilizzo. Questo può
verificarsi perché il corpo si è abituato all’intensità degli impulsi una
volta impostata o al ciclo di programma. Per prevenire ciò cambiare
di tanto in tanto intensità e programma.
ATTENZIONE
Per evitare fastidiosi impulsi di corrente usare la cintura solo
dopo aver fissato tutti e quattro i pads sugli elettrodi.
Verificare periodicamente lo stato dei pads per elettrodi e
dei cavi.
• L’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente allo scadere del tempo
di trattamento preimpostato, di 15, 30, 60 minuti. L’apparecchio
può essere spento in qualsiasi momento anche manualmente. In
entrambi i casi, ruotare i regolatori di intensità, 15 e 9 , in
senso antiorario finché non scatteranno in posizione OFF e il
display non si spegnerà.
ATTENZIONE
Non allontanare mai la cintura
4 dalla pelle ad
apparecchio ancora acceso per evitare fastidiosi impulsi di
corrente. Ruotare innanzi tutto i regolatori di intensità,
15 e
9 , in senso antiorario finché non scatteranno in posizione
OFF e il display non si spegnerà.
• Lasciare i pads sugli elettrodi della cintura. Per conservarli in
modo sicuro, riapplicare le pellicole con la scritta “no” sui pads
per elettrodi dopo ogni utilizzo. In tal modo si assicura una
maggiore durata di elettrodi e pads.
Controllare sempre l’apparecchio e gli accessori prima di ogni utilizzo
al fine di evitare danni e guasti:
1. La batteria ha ancora sufficiente tensione e non è corrosa.
2. Tutti e 4 i pads aderiscono bene al centro degli elettrodi. Non sono
né danneggiati né completamente asciutti.
3. I cavi non sono danneggiati e sono in buone condizioni.
4. I connettori dei cavi sono collegati correttamente e saldamente ai
contatti per gli attacchi a bottoncino sulla cintura.
5. I cavi sono bene inseriti nelle connessioni dell’apparecchio TENS.
Se, nonostante tutto, si dovesse verificare un guasto, si potrà far
riferimento alla seguente tabella.

Apparecchio TENS:
• L’apparecchio non necessita di particolare manutenzione.
• Togliere le batterie prima di pulire l’apparecchio.
• Non impiegare mai detergenti aggressivi o spazzole dure.
• Pulire l’apparecchio solo con un panno morbido e leggermente
umido. Accertarsi che non penetri acqua nell’apparecchio.
Utilizzare nuovamente l’apparecchio solo se è completamente
asciutto.
• Togliere la batteria dall’apparecchio se non si desidera utilizzarlo
per più di una settimana.
• Non esporre l’apparecchio alla luce diretta del sole, proteggerlo
dallo sporco e dall’umidità.
• Conservare l’apparecchio in un luogo pulito e asciutto assieme
alla cintura, ai cavi e ai pads ricoperti con le pellicole protettive.
I pads rimangono sugli elettrodi della cintura e vengono
arrotolati insieme ad essa.
Cintura e pads:
• Se durante l’utilizzo, la cintura si è inumidita, farla innanzi tutto
asciugare all’aria prima di utilizzarla di nuovo.
• Togliere i pads dalla cintura prima di pulirla. Accertarsi che i pads
siano ricoperti con le pellicole con la scritta “no” sul lato a
contatto con la pelle. Togliere dalla cintura anche cavi e
apparecchio TENS. Non tirare per i cavi, ma per i connettori alle
estremità dei cavi.
• La durata utile dei pads per elettrodi dipende dalla conservazione,
dal tipo di pelle e dalla modalità d’impiego. Quando l’adesività
dei pads autoadesivi diminuisce sensibilmente, o i pads sono
completamente asciutti o molto sporchi, essi devono essere
sostituiti.
• Lavare la cintura a mano in acqua fredda. Non lavare la cintura
in lavatrice. Fare asciugare la cintura all’aria completamente
stesa o appesa; non usare asciugatrici.
Cavi:
• Prima della pulizia, togliere i cavi dalla cintura e dall’apparecchio
TENS. Non tirare per i cavi, ma per i connettori alle estremità dei cavi.
• Pulire i cavi solo con un panno pulito e leggermente umido, e
utilizzarli di nuovo solo se completamente asciutti.
L’apparecchio non può essere smaltito insieme ai rifiuti domestici.
Ogni utilizzatore ha l’obbligo di gettare tutte le apparecchiature
elettroniche o elettriche, contenenti o prive di sostanze nocive, pres-
so un punto di raccolta della propria città o di un rivenditore specia-
lizzato, in modo che vengano smaltite nel rispetto dell’ambiente.
Togliere le pile prima di smaltire lo strumento. Non gettare le pile
esaurite nei rifiuti domestici, ma nei rifiuti speciali o in una stazione
di raccolta pile presso i rivenditori specializzati.
Per lo smaltimento rivolgersi alle autorità comunali o al proprio

1. MANIQUICK SA, garantisce l’assenza di guasti e difetti meccanici e
la completezza del prodotto al momento della vendita.
2. Le riparazione possono essere effettuate solo in Centri di
assistenza autorizzati dalla
MANIQUICK SA o dal Distributore
Autorizzato nel Paese in cui avete acquistato l’apparecchio.
3. La durata del periodo di garanzia sui materiali e sui difetti di
fabbricazione e di funzionamento è pari a 5 anni* a decorrere
dalla data di vendita previa osservanza di tutte le indicazioni
riportate nelle Istruzioni di impiego da parte dell’Acquirente.
Le obbligazioni di garanzia non coprono i materiali di consumo:
coppe a elettrodi, fasce elastiche, cavi di collegamento, ecc.
4. I reclami relativi al prodotto dovranno essere presentati
direttamente al centro di assistenza autorizzato. Il centro di
assistenza, sulla base di un accordo con il venditore, è competente
a stabilire la causa e la natura del guasto. Il prodotto sarà sostituito
soltanto qualora non possa essere riparato.
5. Il proprietario del prodotto provvederà autonomamente a
recapitare e ritirare il prodotto stesso presso la sede di esecuzione
della riparazione in garanzia.
6. Il tempo occorrente per la riparazione in garanzia sarà subordinato

La garanzia sul prodotto non si applicherà nei casi seguenti:
• certificato di garanzia compilato in modo erroneo o contraffatto;

• assenza di documenti commerciali e finanziari (scontrino fiscale
di cassa, bolla di accompagnamento merci) atti a comprovare
l’acquisto;
• apertura o riparazione del prodotto eseguite dall’Acquirente o
da un centro di assistenza non autorizzato;
• guasti verificatisi a seguito di inosservanza da parte
dell’Acquirente delle norme di impiego, stoccaggio e trasporto
del prodotto indicate nella relativa documentazione tecnico-
normativa, nel qual caso dovranno essere specificate le norme
effettive della suddetta documentazione che sono state violate;
• penetrazione di corpi estranei o liquidi all’interno del prodotto;
• presenza sul prodotto di guasti meccanici interni o esterni
(incrinature, segni di caduta, parti scheggiate, ecc.) conseguenti
a uso, installazione o trasporto erronei del prodotto;
• componenti o accessori soggetti a rapida usura (coppe a elettrodi,
fasce elastiche);
• difetti causati da agenti esterni (sporcizia evidente all’esterno e
all’interno, tracce di corrosione);
• guasti dovuti a cause indipendenti dal produttore, quali sbalzi di
tensione nella rete di alimentazione, fenomeni o calamità
naturali, incendi, azioni di animali, insetti, ecc.
• reclami per difetti rilevati dall’Acquirente presentati dopo la
scadenza del periodo di garanzia o di qualsivoglia altro periodo
stabilito dalla Legislazione per la segnalazione di eventuali difetti;
• uso del prodotto da parte dell’Acquirente non per usi personali
(domestici) ma a scopo commerciale per l’ottenimento di un profitto.

I prodotti difettosi saranno accettati unicamente se puliti e comple-
ti, nell’imballaggio ori-ginale, corredati di certificato di garanzia cor-

• Ne retirez jamais la ceinture 4 lorsque l’appareil est encore en
marche. L’appareil peut être éteint à tout moment en cas de
besoin. Faites tourner les deux boutons de réglage de l’intensité
15 et 9 dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre de
manière à les positionner sur OFF.
• Dans le cas d’une utilisation professionnelle, la ceinture lombaire
thérapeutique
MANIQUICK doit faire l’objet d’une inspection
technique auprès d’un atelier agréé tous les 2 ans.
GARANTIE D’1 AN POUR USAGE PROFESSIONEL.
• Remarques sur les électrodes:
- Pour des raisons d’hygiène, veillez à ce que chaque utilisateur
utilise ses propres électrodes.
- Ne placez pas les électrodes sur la peau mouillée.
- N’utilisez l’appareil que sur une peau doit être propre et sèche.
- Ne placez pas les électrodes sur des plaies.
- Veillez à ce que les pads des électrodes n’entrent jamais en
contact entre eux. Cela pourrait court-circuiter l’appareil.
- N’utilisez jamais des câbles d’électrodes endommagés ou
défectueux, vous risquez de provoquer des décharges électriques.
- N’exposez pas les électrodes aux rayons directs du soleil.
- Après l’utilisation, la peau peut présenter un légère rougeur
tout à fait normale qui disparaît en l’espace de 30 minutes. Ne
réutilisez l’appareil qu’une fois la rougeur disparue.
- Si, lors de séances prolongées, des irritations épidermiques
surviennent, privilégiez les séances de courte durée.
- En cas d’apparition de fortes irritations de la peau, interrompez
immédiatement le traitement et consultez votre médecin.
- Les résidus de colle peuvent être facilement retirés à l’eau et au
savon. N’utilisez ni alcool ni dissolvant.
• Le traitement avec la ceinture lombaire thérapeutique
MANIQUICK ne saurait en aucun cas remplacer le diagnostic et
le traitement médical. Consultez votre médecin traitant pour
toutes les douleurs ou les maladies avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
• Utilisez l’appareil uniquement au niveau de la région basse du
dos ! L’utilisation sur une autre partie du corps peut entraîner de
graves problèmes respiratoires, circulatoires ainsi que des
arythmies cardiaques.
• Les patients suivants ne doivent pas utiliser l’appareil :
- les porteurs de stimulateur cardiaque, de défribrilateur ou les
personnes présentant des troubles extrêmes du rythme cardiaque,
- les patients avec des implants métalliques ou des appareils
électroniques auxiliaires,,
- les diabétiques et les patients présentant une tension artérielle
anormalement élevée,
- les patients sujets aux hémorragies internes,
- les femmes enceintes.
• Si vous êtes épileptique ou souffrez de certains handicaps,
veuillez demander l’avis de votre médecin.
• Les personnes souffrant de troubles sensoriels doivent
uniquement utiliser cet appareil conformément aux instructions
d’un médecin.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil lorsque vous avez des douleurs lors des
menstruations.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil si vous ressentez des brûlures au niveau
de la peau ou si celle-ci est insensible.
• Après une blessure ou une intervention chirurgicale, le
traitement antidouleur ne doit être effectué que sous la
surveillance et la direction d’un médecin ou d’un physiothérapeute.
• Ne traitez aucune partie du corps présentant un gonflement, une
brûlure, une inflammation, des éruptions cutanées, une blessure
ou un endroit sensible.
• En cas de doute, demandez toujours conseil à un médecin et
suivez ses indications thérapeutiques.
• Les enfants ne doivent pas utiliser l’appareil. Tenez l’appareil
