K00156/157 ADAPTER KIT
Installation Instructions
1. Use the K00156 to install a Q-0200, Q-0450, Q-0600, Q-0800, Q-1000, and 30" S-series ice machines on a
Manitowoc C-950 bin.
Use the K00157 to install a Q-0200, Q-0450, Q-0600, Q-0800, Q-1000, and 30" S-series ice machines on a
Manitowoc C-970 bin.
2. Installation (the bin must be level before starting):
A. Remove the existing foam tape and ice deflector from bin.
B. For the K00156 kit, slide the support brackets onto the deflectors in the kit. For the K00157 kit, use the deflector
from the bin. Locate, as shown on the drawing below. Secure the deflector(s) to the bin with the screws removed
earlier.
C. Apply approximately 10 1/2” (26.7 cm.) of foam tape to the bottom front edge of the adapters between the bin and
the adapters.
D. Place the adapters on the bin, as shown.
E. Using the adapters as templates, drill four 5/32” (4 mm.) holes, .500” (12.7 mm.) deep maximum, in bin.
Warning: Do not drill through interior liner. Attach with the screws provided.
F. Apply foam tape to the edge of the adapters, as shown, and on the front and rear of the bin between the adapters.
Note: We recommend using RTV at intersections and along front inside edge of foam tape to prevent water
tracking. Use double tape thickness with S-series ice machines.
3. Refer to ice machine installation manual for ice machine installation procedures.
