instructions.
2. Do not expose the charger to rain or snow.
3. Follow use of an attachment recommended or sold by marA. Do not use of an
attachment provided by third party.
4. A warning against recharging non-rechargeable batteries.
5. Pull the electric plug rather than the cord when disconnecting charger.
6. An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of an
inappropriate extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock. Use only
Original parts supplied by marA.
7. DO NOT operate charger with damaged cord or plug –replace the cord or plug right
away.
8. DO NOT operate charger if it has received a sharp hit, been dropped, or otherwise
damaged in any way.
9. DO NOT disassemble charger; take it to a qualified service people when service or
repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
10. To reduce the risk of electric shock, pull out charger from outlet before attempting any
maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls will not reduce this risk.
11. The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged the appliance should be
scrapped.
12.
WARNING: RISK OF EXPLOSIVE GASES.
a. WORKING IN VICINITY OF A LEAD-ACID BATTERY IS
DANGEROUS.BATTERIESGENERATE EXPLOSIVE GASES DURING NORMAL
BATTERY OPERATION. FOR THISREASON, IT IS EXTREME IMPORTANCE
THATYOU FOLLOW THEINSTRUCTIONSEACH TIME YOU USE THE CHARGER.
b. To reduce risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those published by
battery manufacturer and manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in vicinity of
battery. Review cautionary markings on these products and on the engine.
PERSONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts skin, eyes,
or clothing. Also, check if anyone is close enough to help you when you work.
2. Wear complete eye protection and clothing protection. Avoid touching eyes while
working near the battery.
3. If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. If acid
enters the eye, immediately flood the eye with running cold water for at least 15
minutes and immediately seek medical attention.
4. NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in vicinity of battery or engine.
5. Be extra cautious, to reduce risk of dropping a metal tool onto battery. It might spark or
short-circuit battery or other electrical parts that may cause an explosion.

3
EN
6. Remove personal metal items such as rings, necklaces, bracelets and watches when
working with a lead-acid battery. A lead acid battery can produce a short-circuit current
high enough to weld a ring or similar metal objects, causing a severe burn.
7. Use the charger for charging only Lead acid, Gel, Calcium, AGM and EFB, batteries. It
is not intended to supply power to a low voltage electrical system in addition to an
application of starter-motor. Do not use battery charger for charging dry-cell batteries
that are used with home appliances normally. DO NOT charge a frozen battery.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance. (7.12 of EN 60335-1)

HOW TO CHARGE
1. Connect the charger to the wall socket. Power LED display steady green and
continue with the next step.
2. Connect the charger to the battery. The power LED displays a steady green. Then
charger has entered the standby mode. The error LED will indicate if the battery
clamps are correctly connected. The reverse polarity protection will ensure that the
battery or charger will not be damaged.
3. Press the MODE-button to select motorcycle program or car program.
Continue to press the MODE-button to combine charging program with charging
options. ( Snow/AGM program) Press the MODE-button several times until the
desired combination of charging program and options are lit up.
4. Follow the 7-step display through the charging process. The charger is ready to
start the charge when STEP 2 is lit up. The battery is fully charged when STEP 7
is lit up.
5. Stop charging at any time by disconnecting the mains cable from the wall
socket.

CHARGING STEPS
Step 1: Diagnosis
Checks the battery’s present condition, including voltage, battery health, and state-of-charge,
to determine if the battery is stable before charging.
Step 2: Initialization
Reinstate the battery to reach to an appropriate workable level before bulk charge.
Step 3: CC (Constant Current)
Starts the charging process with maximum current until reaching approximately 80% of battery
capacity.
Step 4: CV (Constant Voltage)
Charging with declining current to maximize up to 98% of battery capacity.
Step 5: Analysis
Tests if the battery can hold charge.
Step 6: Recond
When analysis tests battery lower than the present capacity of 95% should jump to "Recond"
stage.
Step 7: Optimization
Tests if the battery can hold charge. When analysis tests the battery is higher than the present
capacity of 95%, it should jump to the "Float" current until in a fully charged stage.
After that, the charger stops charging, and keep detecting the level of battery capacity until
removing the clamp.
Step 7: Optimization
(for SCC-61A065)
Tests if the battery can hold charge. When analysis tests recognizes the battery is higher than
the present capacity of 95%, it should keep provide reliable voltage and current, charging
current tapers down asymptotically until in a fully charged stage.

Maintenance + Battery Tester
After the maintenance(“M”) mode is selected, the battery capacity checked until completing the
analysis of battery capacity known, and LED indicator is staying at the remaining capacities for
10 seconds. After that, the charger starts to charge depending on the optimized output
program,
and maintain the battery in a full capacity
NOTE:
Maintain a healthy battery with the reliable maintain mode technology for extended
period of time, however, problems with battery electronic problems in the vehicle, incorrect
connections or other unanticipated conditions could cause excessive current draws. Therefore,
it is required to monitor your battery and charging status occasionally.
