Replacing the dongle with a new dongle version
Symptom
M6TM users that have to replace the dongle with a new version of the dongle must read the
instructions below to correctly replace the dongle with this new version.

Anti-Static Precautions
Important! Static electricity can destroy electronic
components. Follow these ESD precautions to prevent damage
to the product and injury to the user.
Carry out the service at an anti-static workstation.
Wear a grounded anti-static wristband.
Touch a grounded conductor every few minutes to discharge any
static buildup.
Hold components by their edges only. Do not touch the surfaces or
any of the contacts of the PCBs.

Replacing the dongle
1. Switch the controller OFF and
disconnect the power cable from the
controller.
2. Remove the right hand back cover
from the controller: unscrew 7 screws
(Use a torx T-10)

3. Slide the cover plate from the
controller
4. Locate and remove the old dongle
from the DMX board

5. Insert the new dongle
WARNING: the sticker on the dongle must
face the backside (connector side) of the
controller.
6. Power up the controller and go into
a show. Check the status field on
the screen. It must say ‘LIVE’
7. Close the controller.
