The MBA-8 antenna comes with a Dual RET controller, which has 12 motorized elements.
The controller has 2 inputs, N-1 and N-2. Each input is MRET and controls 6 elements.
N-1 controls the bottom 6 and N-2 controls the top 6.
To use RET, please connect the antenna via A SG cable to the MDCU at the bottom. Both nputs are
required to operate all 12 RETs.
N-1 should detect 6 sub-units Beam 1-3 with Ports (P1,2) and (P3,4)
N-2 should detect 6 sub-units Beam 1-3 with Ports (P5,6) and (P7,8)

Calibration
The antenna will have to be calibrated before it can be used. This is required if manual mode was used
to adjust the tilt and is a good practice to do so if the tilt has not been changed for some time.
During calibration, the element will use hard-stop at the bottom to determine the zero degrees. After
this the element can be adjusted to any tilt that is required, ranging from 0 to 30 degrees. The current
degree of tilt is indicated by the movable red marker tip. Note: Handle has to be screwed in with the
stub (motor engaged) for the RET to work.
Manual Mode
The MBA antenna comes in RET mode as default, but if needed can also be manually adjusted.
To do so, please unscrew the waterproof cap behind the element whose tilt is to be adjusted.
The metal stub should then be unscrewed. This will enable the handle to be pulled out and will
disengage the motor from the RET mechanism inside. Turn the handle to change the tilt.
When done, push the handle back in, screw the stub back and replace the waterproof cover.
