The MXL005 is equipped with a Wireless Remote Control to allow quick, one person positioning of the antenna
while monitoring the signal strength screen on your TV.

Die MXL005 wird geliefert mit einer FastFind-Fernbedienung, mit dieser Fernbedienung ist das finden des
gewünschten Satelliten kinderleicht. Zum Ausrichten der Sat-Antenne ist nur eine Person nötig.
Einfach Sat-Antenne Richtung Süden stellen die Elevation in die Fernbedienung eingeben und schon startet die
MXL005 die Suche. Unter beobachtung Ihres Bildschirms stoppen Sie die Antenne wenn das Fernsehbild erscheint.

2. Verbinden Sie das Koax-Kabel mit der VuQube und den Receiver. Wenn Sie einen zweiten Fernseher betreiben möchten müssen Sie beide
Koax-Kabel an den VuQube anschließen.

1. Place VuQube on a suitable stable surface (the VuQube will compensate for any uneven surface) with a clear view of the southern sky.
Point the handle to the north (this will speed up search time).
2. Connect coaxial cable between the VuQube and Set Top Box (STB). Repeat for second STB, if present with the addional coaxial cable included.
OR Connect both coaxial cables between the VuQube and a STB with recording and pause facilities (ie SKY®+ or FREESAT D+ receivers).

LIMITED WARRANTY
Every Maxview VuQube Satellite System is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory, and is covered by the
following two year parts limited warranty from the date of original purchase:
Two year parts warranty: The customer is not responsible for the cost of replacement parts if the original part is determined to be defective
under the terms of the warranty. The customer is responsible for the cost of replacement parts after two years.
Should any problems develop during the warranty period, contact Maxview. You must contact Maxview before the warranty period expires.
The customer must supply proof of purchase (such as a dated sales receipt) when requesting warranty service. If customer cannot supply
proof, warranty period shall start 30 days after date of manufacture.
Only Maxview will perform warranty evaluations and repairs.
If it is determined that the unit needs to be returned to Maxview, the customer must return COMPLETE product, to:

When returning product, Maxview will supply a Product Return Number (PRN). This number must be clearly written on the box.
Failure to clearly write PRN number on box may result in delays in processing claim.
Along with product, customer should include in the box: his/her name, address, daytime phone number, proof of purchase and description
of the problem.
If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Maxview will repair (or replace if necessary) without charge.
This warranty does not cover installation and external wiring, or re-manufactured units. This warranty does not cover damage caused by the
use of a mounting bracket other than a Maxview mounting bracket designed for the product. This warranty is not transferable from the
original owner.
Due to the expanding and changing satellite market, Maxview cannot be held responsible for changes made to satellite
services. Software updates to address such issues are not covered under warranty.
This warranty also does not apply where:
• The product has been abused, misused, improperly installed or improperly maintained.
• The product has been installed without the use of a Maxview mounting bracket designed for the product.
• Repairs have been made or attempted by others that are not certified by Maxview to do such repairs.
• Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear.
• Alterations have been made to the product.
• The antenna unit has been opened without authorisation.
• Damage has been caused by power washing.
• Circumstances beyond the control of Maxview cause the product to no longer operate correctly.
• Customer is not the original owner.
In no event shall Maxview be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from the sale or use of the product.
This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of the warranty.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, but does not affect your statutory rights.

IMPORTA T - For satellite reception, there must be a clear “line of sight” to the southern sky.
Mountains, buildings, trees, telephone poles, etc. can all block the satellite signal from reaching the dish.
1. Determine your elevation from the zone map on the reverse of this set up instructions booklet.
Note: The Wireless Remote Control has a keypad. Pressing or tapping the buttons will produce an electronic click.
2. Press POWER to turn the remote ON (A). The remote will display the antenna’s current elevation.
3. Use the UP and DOWN arrows on the remote (B) to match the antenna’s elevation to the elevation you determined from the zone map.

4. You must watch the TV for signal strength while rotating the antenna in step 4. See your Set Top Box owner’s
manual to determine how to display the satellite signal strength screen on your TV.
When pressing the left and right arrows, the remote will continuously beep with a short pause in between: beep - beep - beep…
If the unit reaches its rotational limit in either direction, the remote will display REVERSE DIRECTIO and beep rapidly:
beep beep beep... Press other arrow to reverse rotation.
4. Watch the signal strength screen on the TV. Use the LEFT and RIG T arrows to rotate the antenna from east
to south and watch for signal strength to appear on the screen.
5. When signal strength appears, stop rotating the antenna. Tap the up, down, left and right arrows as
necessary to maximize the satellite signal.
6. Press POWER until the remote turns off (approximately 1 second). The remote turns off automatically if
no buttons are touched for 30 seconds.
7. Exit the signal strength screen to view your programming. Enjoy!
Note: If you move the VuQube you will have to re-adjust for the satellite. Follow the directions on pages 5-6.

Wenn sie Sat-Antenne ihr Drehlimit erreicht hat und nichts gefunden wurde erschein im Display der Fernbedienung REVERS
DIRECTIO und die Fernbedienung beept andauernd. Drücken Sie nun auf die andere Pfeiltaste um die Drehrichtung zu ändern.
4. Beobachten Sie das Signalmeter auf Ihrem TV-Bildschirm
5. Wenn das Signal erscheint Stoppen Sie die Antenne. Drücken Sie die Tasten “UP“, “DOWN“, “LEFT“ und “RIG T“ um das Signal zu optimieren
und um den höchsten Wert bei der Signalqualität zu erreichen.
6. Drücken Sie nun auf die Taste “POWER“ solange bis sich die Fernbedienung ausschaltet (ungefähr 2 sek.) Die Fernbedienung schaltet sich
automatisch ab wenn Sie 30 Sek. keine Taste drücken.
7. Verlassen Sie nun den Sat-Finder in Ihrem Receivermenü und genießen Sie das Programm.
Achtung !!: Wenn die VuQube bewegt wird ist der Einstellvorgang zu wiederholen.

To align the satellite dish to the Astra 2 satellite, use the SIGNAL TEST menu built into the SKY® digibox. To access this
menu you will first have to press the SERVICES button on the remote control. In the SERVICES menu you will then need to
access the SYSTEM SET UP (number 4) and the SIGNAL TEST (number 6).
The display will then show, from top to bottom: SIGNAL STRENGT - SIGNAL QUALITY - LOCK INDICATOR - NETWORK ID -TRANSPORT STREAM.
You will need to adjust the dish until there is at least a quarter of the SIGNAL QUALITY bar displayed, the LOCK INDICATOR shows OK and the
NETWORK ID is displaying 0002. If the NETWORK ID is showing any other details, you have locked onto the wrong satellite and will need to
re-align the dish. When Astra 2 North Beam is being received the TRANSPORT STREAM will display 07d4. This is not the case if receiving South
Beam. Press BACK UP.

The VuQube has been designed to be maintenance and trouble free. For optimum signal strength, keep the cover clean from dirt, bugs, and
other debris. Periodic washing of the top cover with mild soap and water is recommended.
DO NOT USE SOLVENTS TO CLEAN VUQUBE. DO NOT DROP OR EXPOSE TO JARRING MOVEMENTS.

Die VuQube ist so konstruiert das Sie keine besondere Pflege und Wartung benötigt. Um immer ein optimales Signal zu erhalten empfiehlt es
sich das Gehäuse sauber zu halten. Verwenden Sie hierfür nur einen feuchten Lappen.
Verwenden Sie keine Lackverdünnung oder ähnliches. Bewegen Sie die Sat-Antenne während das Suchvorganges nicht. Da dann, der Satellit
nicht gefunden wird.
