The Best Place To Put The QuadraPRO
The best operating location for the QuadraPRO DVD duplicator is in a
climate-controlled area, free of dirt, dust, humidity, excessive heat, and
electronic or electromagnetic interference. Room temperature should be
between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit, or between 18 and 23 degrees
Celsius. Place the QuadraPRO on a solid, steady work surface, and allow
sufficient room for all incidental work materials. Provide at least six inches
of clearance on all sides of the unit for ventilation.
Safety Precautions
The system is shipped with a three-prong power connector, and must be
used with a properly grounded AC receptacle. DO NOT try to defeat the
third “ground” prong. All computer peripherals must be properly grounded,
and the QuadraPRO is no exception. The use of a power conditioner, such
as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or a surge protector, is highly
recommended. The minimum required size is 500VA.
Repairs or alterations should only be attempted by authorized, factory-
trained technicians. MediaFORM reserves the right to void the warranty if
unauthorized service is performed.

Removing Packing Restraints
The QuadraPRO ships with a picker arm restraint to reduce the possibility
of damage in transit. This restraint must be removed before operation or
power-on. Gently remove the foam tube from around the transfer arm. Save
the foam tube, as you will need to return it to its place when transporting
the unit in the future.
Input Bin And Output Spindle
The input bin and output spindle serve as the containers to store up to 450
blank and recorded discs.

Removing Picker Column Restraint
The QuadraPRO ships with a picker column restraint to reduce the
possibility of damage in transit. This restraint must be removed before
operation or power-on. Once removed, save the restraint bracket and
reattach it when transporting the unit in the future.
To detach the bracket:
1. Remove the four screws that hold it in place as depicted below using a
Phillips screwdriver (Do NOT discard the screws).

Page 12
2. Lift the bracket out of the way and then,
using two of the four screws just
removed, fasten down column top cap.
Input and Output
The QuadraPRO has three bins and one output spindle. These bins and spindle
serve as the containers to store the blank and recorded discs. The two front most
bins, or BIN 1 and BIN 2 (see page 8 for a diagram), serve as both input and
output. The back bin, or BIN 3, is for input only. The spindle that mounts to the
left of the front most bin is for the output of recorded discs only.
At the start of operation, the QuadraPRO will draw its blanks discs from BIN 1
and output the completed product to the output spindle. When BIN 1 becomes
empty, the QuadraPRO will automatically switch to BIN 2 for additional blank
discs and use BIN 1 for output. Similarly, when BIN 2 runs empty, the
QuadraPRO will switch to BIN 3 for blank discs and output completed product to
BIN2.
Fill the BINS with as many discs as needed. When BIN 1 empties, BIN 2 will be
used for input. Completed discs will then be placed in the now empty BIN 1.
Similarly, when BIN 2 empties, the QuadraPRO will draw its blank discs from
BIN 3. Output in turn will also move to BIN 2.
Installing the Output Spindle
Position the QuadraPRO so that the LCD display
screen and keypad are facing you. Locate the output
spindle holder found on the top deck of the unit, at
the front and to the right of the keypad.
In the bottom center of the spindle base is a hole.
Align the hole with the holder found on the deck of
the QuadraPRO so that the spindle stands vertically.

System Startup
Before duplicating can begin it is necessary to review a few details.
• Plug one end of the supplied power cord into the upper receptacle at the
rear of the unit.
• Next, verify that the voltage selector switch is set correctly. It is located
between the two power receptacles. The QuadraPRO supports both 115
VAC and 230 VAC at 50 ~ 60 Hz. Please confirm that the appropriate
voltage (115 VAC for North America) has been selected.
0
CAUTION
Always use properly grounded receptacles or severe damage to
your system may result. The use of a surge protector or
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is highly recommended.

• Make sure you power on the unit using the switches seen below that are
located on the back of the QuadraPRO.
• Once the proper voltage setting has been confirmed, it is time to turn on
the unit. The power switch is located at the back of the unit, next to the
AC power input. Wait a minute or two while the system starts up. The
screen will now read:

After the startup routine is complete, a series of self-diagnostics will be
performed. The screen will now read in sequence:

General Operation
The QuadraPRO is extremely versatile and offers many useful and
powerful features.
Function Keys
Various uses for the QuadraPRO will be explained throughout this
Operator’s Guide. The following section explains the purpose of the
function keys.
The numeric keys on the keypad have special functions. When the main
operating screen is displayed:
S E L E C T C O P Y O R C O M P A R E
• Press the “0” key on the keypad. The screen will now read:
1 = C O P Y 2 = S I M U L A T E
The factory setting for this function is “copy”. The “simulate” mode
is a diagnostic tool, which is useful for testing the readability of a
master disc, without actually writing to blank discs loaded into the
recorders. It is also helpful for training purposes, and for
experimenting with various system functions.
• Press the “1” key to select “copy” or the “2” key to select “simulate”.
After pressing either key, you will be returned to the main operating
screen.
• Press the “1” key on the keypad. Something similar to the following
will be displayed on the screen in sequence:
N T S A 1 . 000 02/ 19/ 0 2

This is the version information of the firmware currently installed on
the QuadraPRO.
