You have acquired a MICROSON hearing aid enhanced
by the latest digital technology.
Your hearing aid is the result of years of research and
development, designed for you to enjoy the sounds
of life.
The Microson team is happy for your trust and wishes
you much success in its usage.
iIt is important that you read and follow the
instructions in this manual to prevent damage to your
hearing aid.
This manual has been produced in accordance with
standards EN 1041 and EN ISO 15223-1.

HOW IT WORKS
The BTE (Behind the Ear BTE) hearing aids are anatomical
instruments placed behind the ear. . Are powered by
a battery and are typically designed to cover severe or
profound hearing losses. All mechanical and electronic
components are contained in an ergonomic housing. They
adapt to the user’s ear by molds which leaves a conductive
tube that attaches to the side of the hearing aid.
MICROPHONE: receives the sound and converts it into an
electrical signal.
AMPLIFIER: digital processor that receives the signal and adapts
it to the parameters introduced for each hearing loss.
RECEIVER: converts the electrical signal back into sound and
transmits it into the user's ear.

The intended purpose of the hearing aids is to selectively
amplify sound and transmit it to the ear to compensate
for the hearing of hearing impaired people.
Its use is not intended for children or people with
mental disabilities.
YWARNING!
The prescription and adaptation of the hearing aids
must be performed by a hearing health professional,
who will perform the programming and specific
adjustment for hearing loss and the morphology of the
user in a completely personalized manner. Therefore,
using hearing aids not prescribed by a professional or
adapted for another person can damage your hearing.
YWARNING!
Any product modification must be carried out by a
manufacturer authorised Technical Service.

WARNING!
- It is dangerous to swallow batteries. Keep batteries out of
the reach of children.
- Never use your hearing aids in places where there is
medical equipment (X-ray, high frequency, magnetic
resonance or short-wave therapy treatments).
- Do not use the hearing aids in areas where there is a risk
of explosion!
- M4 BTE / M4 BTE AT / M4 BTE ECO hearing aids can
generate higher output levels up to 132 dBSPL.
CAUTION!
- Protect your hearing aids against moisture and sources of
heat.
- Do not use your hearing aids while showering, swimming
or spraying your hair.
- Protect your hearing aids from hard knocks.
- Never use a microwave or other heat emitters to dry your
hearing aids.
- Regular use of a dehumidifier is recommended to keep
your hearing aid in optimum working conditions: Ask your
hearing care specialist.
INFORMATION
- Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use your
hearing aids for a long time.
- Replace spent batteries immediately.
- Do not dispose of spent batteries with normal household
waste! Take them to the hearing care specialist for proper
disposal without harming the environment.

comply with the essential requirements of European Directive
93/42/EEC for health products.
XXXX Identication of Notied Body
This symbol indicates that the products described in these
instructions for use adhere to the requirements established
for a Type B application component of the IEC.60601-2-66. The
hearing aid surface is listed as a Type B application component.
This symbol indicates that the product must be managed
dierently than household waste at the end of its life. You
must hand it over it to your hearing care professional or at
a point for the selective collection of electronic devices

DESCRİPTİON OF YOUR HEARİNG AİD BATTERY INSERTİON AND REPLACEMENT
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert the battery with the “+” symbol facing upwards
and close the battery compartment.
If the battery is not inserted correctly, the
hearing aid will not work.
3. To remove the battery, turn the hearing aid upside down,
open the battery compartment and allow it to drop into
your hand.
REMEMBER THAT YOUR HEARING AID WILL BEEP 5 TIMES TO LET
YOU KNOW WHEN THE BATTERY IS SPENT.

PROGRAMS PUSH BUTTON
PROGRAMS SELECTION
Your hearing aid has a push button
that enables you to select the desired
programme.
As you press the push button, you will
hear tones indicating the programme
you are using.
Example: Two tones for programme 2.
Follow the instructions of your audio
prosthetist to get the most out of your
hearing aid.
Each programme will permit
you to better adapt to different
environments or situations of
everyday life.
By way of example, your hearing aid
may be equipped with the following
programmes:
1- Normal.
2- Restaurant.
3- Telephone*.
4- Traffic.
*Your hearing aid complies with the IEC 60118-13 standard on electromagnetic compatibility.
VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
UPDOWN
Your hearing aid is totally automatic, but
if you prefer manual adjustment, you can
use the volume control.
Use your finger to operate the lever up
or down, the volume of aircraft go up or
down a fraction. Repeat this action until the
volume desired.
If you reach the volume limit will warn you
with one tone.

To connect your hearing aid, close the
battery compartment.
TURNING OFF:
To disconnect your hearing aid, partially
open the battery compartment.

CAUTION!
The magnets may affect certain electrical apparatuses. Be
careful not to place the magnets near monitors, television
sets or other electrical equipment.
Check that there are no credit cards, CDs or DVDs nearby, or
other mechanisms sensitive to magnetic fields (minimum
30 cm).
WARNING!
- The magnets may interfere with the operation of medical
equipment such as pacemakers and magnetic valves, etc.
Pacemaker users should follow the safety instructions of
the pacemaker manufacturer and make use of the magnetic
accessory when in no doubt about the safety distance.
(Minimum 10 cm)
- Store the magnets out of children’s reach. In the event a
magnet is swallowed, consult your doctor.
Your M4 BTE AT is equipped with the
Auto-phone function that enables your
hearing aid to select the telephone
program automatically when you put the
receiver to your ear.
When you finish the call and remove the
phone from your ear, it will revert to the
program you were using before.
To activate the Auto-phone automatically,
place the magnetic accessory in your
telephone’s receiver.
Move the magnet gently until it is in
the optimum position* for a reliable
connection and a pleasant sound. Next,
remove the protector and place the
accessory in the receiver.

- Clean your hearing aid regularly, using specially designed
wipes. (Consult your specialist).
- Regular use of a dehumidifier is recommended to keep
your hearing aid in optimum working conditions. (Consult
your specialist).
- Always have a spare battery available.
ATTENTION!
- Do not clean your hearing aid with alcohol, hydrogen
peroxide or detergents: use a soft, moist cloth.
- Do not wash your hearing aid!
