Hexagonalwrench;adjustablewrench;torquewrenches,wrench toholdthejoints andgasleak
detector.

Note:
Theairin theindoorunitandinthepipingmust bepurged. Ifairremainsintherefrigerationpiping,it
willaffectthecompressor,reducethecoolingcapacity, andcouldleadtoamalfunctionofunit.
Besure, usingatorquewrenchtotightentheserviceportcap(afterusingtheserviceport), sothatit
preventsthegasleakage fromtherefrigeration cycle.
Procedure
1.Recheckthepipingconnections.
2.Open thevalvestemofthe2-wayvalve
counterclockwise approximately90’,wait10
seconds,andthenset ittoclosedposition.
Besuretouse ahexagonalwrench tooperate
thevalvestem.
3.Checkforgasleakage.
Checktheflareconnection forgasleakage
4.Purgetheairfromthesystem.
Set the2-wayvalvetotheopenpositionand
removethecapfromthe3-wayvalve’sservice
port.
Usingthehexagonalwrenchtopress thevalve
corepin, discharge forthree secondsandthen
waitforoneminute.
5.Use torquewrench totighten theservice
portcaptoatorqueof1.8kgf.m.(18n.m)
6.Set the3-wayvalvetotheopened
position.
7.Mountedthevalvestemnuts tothe
2-wayand3-wayvalves.
8.Checkforgasleakage.
Atthistime,especiallycheckfor gas
leakagefromthe2-wayand3-waystemnuts,
andfromtheserviceport.
Caution:
Ifgasleakage isdiscoveredin step (3)above,
takethefollowingmeasures.
Iftheleaksstopwhenthepipingconnections
aretightenedfurther,continueworkingfrom
step (4).
Ifthegasleaksdonotstopwhenthe
connectionsareretightened,repairthe
locationoftheleak, discharge allofthegas
through theserviceport, andthenrecharge
with thespecifiedamountofgasfromagas
cylinder.
