Procedures for Spreader Adjustment
Problems wi spreader operation may in icate that ceain a justments e required to restore proper
ctioning. The owing pcedes a ress coon pblems which may be encountered in
sprea er operation.
Adjusting the Rear Pawl
 the oor apn chain is not moving, e most coon cause is impper bre (re) pawl adjustmen
(by jacking up e led drive wheel  ng e wheel by h , you  be able to obsee the
bre pawl engagement in the spcket teeth.)
1. Rer to Fie 4C.
2. Remove e seld coveng e bre pawl assembly by removing e two (2) bos, washers,
d nuts hol ing  in place.
3. Loosen e nut ben e bre pawl using a 9/16" ench.
4. With e  er po s itio ne d at the g he s t point on t h e st  c , tap th e bre p a wl up or do  as
nece ss  t o a a in a 1/1 " to 8 " c le  ce be  een the bre pawl  d the sp  c k et too th (s ee
os e - up e  in F ie 4C ).
5. A er the desired ad jus t m ent is a ch ieve , re - tighten the re nut.

Re-instang the Beater Drive Chain

1. Discoect the spre der om e actor.
2. ck up d sece e ght side of e spreader.
3. Remove e right wheel by removing e  (4) bos, whers, d nuts.
4. Remove the rit se seld by removing the  ( 4) bos, washers, d nuts.
5. Engage e lever r the beater dve ch in into oading mode.
6. Rer to Fige 4D. Re-inst  e chain on the re spcket.
7. Re-itl e chain over the lge ve spcke
8. Re-instl the chn od the boom idler sprocket.
9. Re-insta the chain over e top idler spcket by pusng e top  de r spcket to the re  o f t h e
sp rea d er . E nse th t e ch a in is p ositioned pperl y s sh o i n F i  e 4 D .
